So I think I may be taking a break from the forums until September 27th. Don't want to see any spoilers or reviews until after I go. I may check out any EP night reviews as long as they're spoiler free, but we'll see how that goes.

No shows, an overused property, one major property, and an amazing property that people don't really know about? I can understand the criticism. But from our perspective, this year should be great.

Oh god we've reached the pinnacle of awkwardness
Awkward? Come on! The only one who's awkward is THIS GUY *confident point towards himself*
-
Every night DID end at 2am last year.

How does my name get mispelled every year on this same topic lol DJ Evil Clown not DJ Devil Clown lol
I swear, I've read your name as djdevilclown until just now. My mind was just blown.

Do you guys think it would be reasonable to do Terror Tram last on a Sunday? Last year we were able to leave the park at 11:30 after doing the upper lot mazes, we had done TT already, but with the possible walk this year and a 7th maze, do you think it would be possible?
I really wouldn't recommend it. Lines get bad right before it closes up there, so I think you'd be better off being safe rather than sorry.
-
Sounds like a good plan. I don't think you'll need SR for Transformers at 8 though. It'll prob say 15 mins, but it'll most likely be a walk on.
That explains the question mark. Last year I walked right on, too. Just not sure if it will be different because I'll be spending more time on the backlot this year.
-
How plausible is my schedule this year for Friday the 26th? I cut out dinner in order to repeat the lower lot mazes. And since Bill and Ted is gone, I have time to repeat the backlot mazes. BTW, SR means single rider.
Early Entrance: 6:30pm
Skullz Scarezone
Backlot Tram (If we have to walk, it screws this all up FYI)
Walking Dead: Welcome to Terminus Scarezone
Walking Dead: End of the Line: 6:50pm – 6:55pm
Alien Vs. Predator: 6:55pm – 7:05pm
From Dusk Till Dawn: 7:05pm – 7:15pm
(Repeat all mazes on BL from most popular to least?)
Lower Lot Tram
Transformers: The Ride (SR?): 8:00pm – 8:10pm
An American Werewolf in London: 8:10pm – 8:25pm
The Mummy (SR?): 8:25pm – 8:35pm
Clowns 3D: 8:35pm – 8:55pm
Jurassic Park in the Dark (SR?): 8:55pm – 9:05pm
(Repeat all mazes on LL from most popular to least?)
Walking Dead Terror Tram: 9:45pm – 11:40pm
Dark Christmas Scarezone
Dracula Untold: 11:45pm – 12:45am
Despicable Me (SR?): 12:45am – 1:00am
The Purge: Anarchy Scarezone
Face Off (HoH) 1:00am– 1:15am
(Repeat UL mazes?)
Chainsaw Chaseout 1:50am

Sorry, correction, I'm going the 26th not the 27th.
-
September 27th for me.
-
Wait, so AMOK was An American Werewolf in London all along?! Where was I all this time?!?
-
anyone else think they are running a bit late this year? I know scare zone's usually dont start till after labor day but the maze facades on the backlot seem like they were held back until these last few weeks
Yeah, from what I can tell, they are seriously behind from a construction standpoint. They have 19 days to finish everything and that doesn't seem plausible to be honest.

Here are all the days of HHN where the moon will be 90% or larger: October 5th (90%) and October 10th (93%). So October 10th seems to be the day to go if you care that much about the moon placement. lol. It's also the day that costs $67 online, so probably not worth it.

That photo above is just the bare bones puppet. Look at this video of it (operated by 3 people):

Actually last year the first two weekends the attendance was surprisingly low compared to their projected attendance. You should be good to go on the 26th!
Well, with Killer Deal Nights, the 4 night pass, special $43 tickets via this link: Ushtix.com/hhnearlydeal, I think there is gonna be a much larger influx of people for the first 2 weekends this year. I guess we'll see.
-
I've never been on a Friday before. How bad do you think September 26th is going to be? Don't most nights, even Thursdays sell out anyway?
-
What's a blackout role?
-
If there are only 2 of you, how does an hour on, half an hour off even work? Wouldn't it have to be equal amounts of time?
-
A simple google search brings up facade pics, but I want to see the interior lol. And what do you mean by grinch, was there a Grinch haunted house?
There was a walkthrough of the Grinch's cave in there at one point years ago. I have very vague memories of walking through that.
-
Random question, but as a scareactor, do you have time or are you ever able to check out any of the other mazes while they're running?
-
Does anyone have a video of The Mummy? Or even pictures. I'd really like to see that.
I second that. Also, if you can find Van Helsing and The Grinch clips that would be great. (This probably isn't the right part of the forum to ask, but whatever).

Egyptian Nightmare in Face/Off =\
Woah, how cool is it that you'll be one of the last people to ever scare in the House of Horrors?! I'm jealous....

I find it funny they called it vampire attacks instead of just normal violence, the rating doesn't really matter as insidious was PG13 and look how that turned out
Well, look why the Insidious franchise got it's PG-13 rating
Insidious: Rated PG-13 for thematic material, violence, terror and frightening images, and brief strong language
Insidious 2: Rated PG-13 for intense sequences of terror and violence, and thematic elements
Dracula Untold: PG-13 for intense sequences of warfare, vampire attacks, disturbing images, and some sensuality
Warfare is impossible to pull off in a maze so we are left with vampire attacks and disturbing images as maze worthy material.
With Insidious, we had intense sequences of violence and terror and frightening images. Honestly, if we're basing this on the MPAA rating alone, Insidious had the scarier material.

I have a secret attack phrase for ya: BRING BACK BILL AND TED!
I like it, but can we just make it "EXCELLENT! *guitar sounds*"?

The event tomorrow night is going to start at 98 degrees and end at 80 degrees. Good luck, all. I have a feeling the freezers in Clowns won't feel that realistic....
