  1. If the property is Insidious rather than AHS that means no hints are red herrings. Robert is still a member of the cure, email has killed letters, and Elise is the main character in Insidious ch. 3

He never said any WERE official red herrings. Just that one was a carny trick. That's probably about Freakshows or letters, because they're obviously not literally being killed or going extinct.

  2. Thanks guys! I wouldn't call it just yet, though. Let's obviously keep looking in case.

Edit: Also notice how Murdy says The hint to the theme of this maze can be found in a song title of a band initially associated with the post punk musical movement...

This means that the title is the THEME. You could argue that the theme of this season of American Horror Story is Freak Show OR the theme could deal with freaks. Sorry, I spelled that wrong.... Freakz.

Edit 2: He also says You'll find out the name of this maze and how the hints relate (or not) when we release it this summer.

So maybe the NAME of the maze IS directly related to the song. So obviously it could still be AHS if that tweet is also a subtle clue.

Edit 3: Saw this in the comments on Twitter. Another single by The Cure is called A Letter to Elise. Elise is the name of the old woman in the Insidious movies: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/A_Letter_to_Elise

  3. So The Cure fits all of his hints, and the plot of American Horror Story: Freak Show seems to be modern technology killing the freak show. Ladies and gentlemen, I present to you this song: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Freakshow_(The_Cure_song)

I also discovered a couple more songs, but none nearly as striking as the one above:

  4. i dont see them promoting a film that comes out that late and isn't one of their own properties. Especially since Universal has a horror film coming out around the same time

The Thing and Dracula Untold were both Universal properties, so I get it. But Murdy just saw a screening of a film at around the same time they're screening this one. So it's possible he's looking into it.

  5. Sorry I've been gone for a while. But I'm back! So...... I may or may not have just seen a movie coming out next October. But since I signed a non disclosure agreement, I can't say that I DEFINITELY enjoyed it, and that even though there were minor issues with some plot and effects (The latter will be fixed by release if this was in fact a real movie that I saw that I can't talk about), it was still really good. I CAN say that I saw a movie though and that the movie stars Daniel Radcliffe and James McAvoy, and that the movie has the sets for an HHN maze, a couple good characters (But maybe not enough for a maze), and will for sure have the awareness..... oh, and while I can't compare the tone to anything since I can't talk about it, let me ask this unrelated question, anyone watch Sherlock recently?

Edit: And it was written by the son of John Landis..... (And one of the potential creatures in a movie I "didn't" see reminded me of mid transformation David for a moment before we got a better look). And..... the director directed episodes of Sherlock. Makes sense.

  6. So a Terror Ape doll was riding Log Bunny last night on the Terror Tram. I have a picture if anyone wants to see. BTW, which one of you responded to "TwoTonTick" on the Terror Tram and followed us all the way up the hill? You were awesome!

Also, my group won 3 movie tickets, 2 glow sticks, 1 Walking Dead tattoo, and the H.R. Giger artwork card from Scare Patrol's trivia. We needed to know Ash's name from Evil Dead, a quote from Bride of Frankenstein, the fact that Comcast took over Universal, and that Rick Baker's first Oscar was for An American Werewolf in London. Speaking of AWiL, it seems they darkened those scenes. Not sure about AvP though, but it seemed dark.

Guys, Dracula: Untold was the scariest maze of the night, hands down. So many incredible scares for me. Sets, not so great, aggressive scares, fantastic. All of you scare actors were killing it!

Best sets goes to AvP and holy shit, AWiL was great (except for what seemed to be a broken puppet for the second to last wolf and the fact that I had to wait next to puppets for them to pop out, because they all refused to do it right away for me for some reason).

I may write a full review of the event in the coming days, because it really was fantastic last night, but it'll have to wait.

    EDIT: I didn't even realize, I surpassed 500 posts!!!! That's a pretty big milestone!

  7. NEW GAME PLAN EVERYONE:

Backlot first. RETURN to the Upper Lot. Go back down to the lower lot.

    This will seriously work.

Backlot and Upper Lot are jammed for the first 2 hours.

Lower Lot gets jammed starting at around 9, while the Upper Lot people are finally moving down.

At around 11, the backlot and lower lot people are finally coming back up and the upper lot gets jammed again.

By the end of the night, the lower lot has really short waits.

It seems after last year, everyone caught wise and are doing backlot first. However, with Early Entry, you'll be ahead of the crowd.

    So again...

    BACKLOT

    UPPER LOT

    LOWER LOT

I'm a bit hesitant about this game plan. Are you sure it will work?
