Thats what i'm thinking as well, which is why we may be getting the extra drama around this reveal. Not only will we get AHS, but maybe this is Chance's big moment. If they play this right, and GOD I hope they are, we'll get afull site with tons of content and maybe some more details to fill in the gaps that we've been having questions about. Maybe we get a little bit of a story (not that we dont know Chance's story, but the gen pub wont)
Also, maybe those poor folks in Hwood will finally know dates, ticket prices and such. I'd flip if i still couldnt plan my trip by now.
Happy final reveal everyone!
If this hits, can we make August 15th Final Reveal Day for years to come?
-
Well, we can hope there's something on the official site, at least. With this hitting though I doubt it's going to be much longer at all.

I has been two years since i've attended but for four years in a row I had made it a point to make it to Orlando, it was interesting to watch the severity of security procedures increase.
The last time I went, it took my party 45 minutes to move from the spinning globe just outside the park into the gates to a point where we could walk without being caught in a crowd. That's 2-3 houses with an express pass.
But as you said, there's a greater need for security based on events occurring in the world that hadn't been considered or prepared for. We're all going to suffer for that garbage in the long run.

Back from a long hiatus! Hello again, all.
Dead Man's Wharf sounds interesting, if only because I recently beat the Fallout 4 DLC themed around a harbor in maine. So that's fresh in my mind.
Chance in Hell and Banshee's Lair are tied for second, with the other two resting at the bottom of the barrel anticipation-wise.

Did they ever kill off PS...what happened to her?
On our unmasking the horror tour someone asked the guide about this. His reply was that they simply stopped using PS for this year, that there is no conclusion to that character at the moment.
-
For my tour they failed to mention the "no video" aspect until our exit from walking dead. Worked to our benefit, but still: no video during the tours

All of the jack stuff should be available next weekend. My aunt spoke with someone last night about the jack bobble head and was told all of those goodies should be here in a week

The wait times for houses are on the website under "extras"
-
Well depends... You get three houses done before the park opens. Or.. you see whatever thing they have at the gate. I don't know what they have planned (Ihave gone to the AP for yearS) but the last exciting opening I remember was '07
The completionist in me wants to recommend the opening scaremonies. But 2-3 houses before the crowds start to pile up is enticing as well. I'd say it depends on what you'd rather see; You're going to see the houses anyway, it's just a matter of what time/how quickly you want to see them.

Just about six hours to go until the event goes live. I wanted to get the sentiment out of the way early and say it has been another fantastic 9 months of speculation and discussion. I want to wish everyone a happy haunting season!
Okay, that out of the way, I'm curious about Herschel's barn. Is it packed to the gills with walkers or is a nice burny smelling place to stop and enjoy a beer and hot dog?

I'm super disappointed in the tag line for the shirts as well, even if they did get it from It. It just sounds weird. I don't know if I'll be buying one this year.
Yeah, have to agree there. I had started making the shirts my thing to buy at the event but that tag line is terrible.

Generic saws...any theming to speak of or just a bunch of costumed actors with power tools

This pic never got added to the first page, here it is for anybody who hasn't somehow already seen it:
I wonder why they've done short videos for every house they featured daily but not this one?
Oh typewriter, how we love thee

well last year I never really hated on the masks. I said it before, masks for me are better than make up because with make up all you see is just people with face paint. Doesn't really look that great.
And like I was saying from watching the two videos of Walking Dead, the zombies with make up and no masks, look just like that, guys and girls with some face paint and some painted wounds.
Even though a lot of people hated the masks at least the actors looked like zombies with them. So from the beginning of last year I always said, I rather have crappy masks than peeps with a little bit of red face paint and some eye shadow...
I personally am totally fine with the masks
I recall that conversation from a while back. It's not that I dislike the masks, they work real well for displaying decay, tissue damage, etc. that would otherwise be corny with make-up. I was more insinuating the effects from the show that involve hours of make up and a combination of make-up and masks to offer a convincing visage of undeath aren't possible. The masks'll do the job just fine

That guy yelling...If he was just a little more quiet about it, it wouldn't be an issue...But damn. That's going to haunt me every time I go through the house if it persists like that.

It's just going to be about a little imagination. They aren't going to have the budget to pull off the exact effects from the show, sadly. Last years zombies weren't awful (save for the inability to do the reach/lunge scares), and I think TWD house could still pull off a few decent scares based on distraction and misdirection. Isn't that all that 'magic' is, anyway?

I Was looking at Hollywood's video of their house today and, I can't say I am too impressed. The sets might look good but I don't really see how the remake makes a good IP to use for HHN. Of course the house might be amazing and I might be completely wrong here. But the one house I am not really that excited about is this one.
Agreed. It has the potential for good scares, but I feel that would be entirely attributed to the design team and their creativity. Couldn't really credit the remake for scare factor. As was mentioned in a previous post, some of those who saw the first film were a bit underwhelmed by the remake, so that could cause a disconnect with the property becoming a house. Had they done this prior to the remake...That might have been a little different.

I dont think it can be La llorona or Cabin in the woods. (Cabin just because of all the different creatures they are going to have in there)
I think it might end up being Evil dead.
Yeah that's what I would assume as well. Having watched both the original and remake, I could understand how a house rendition could feel drawn out

1. Resident Evil
2. La Llorona
3. TWD
4. AWIL
5. Afterlife
6. Evil Dead
7. Cabin in the Woods
8. Havoc

I called universal today. If you purchase both tours you may not see six different houses. They'll try to mix them up between the two tours but frequently they will overlap one or two
-
Excellent. Police station to be included in house if we're lucky
-
Chernobyl? O.o
-
Yeah suppose that does indeed work for cabin in the woods as well. But if its from the facility standpoint and not the whole multiple environment point of view, it could work with RE being more of a focus.
