I'm vibing, too, that this is going to involve large "scare zones" that aren't clearly marked but where the scareactors know their bounds, probably with overlap to allow interplay. The first thing that came to mind, to me, was closing night last year at Seven; we basically ran amuck in the street, having the Seven zone as our boundaries but the areas around our sins the specific... jurisdictions? The park, then, would be like the zone was and the individual hordes will have their own jurisdictions much like the sins. Did that make any sense?
That is interesting, Seven did bring a new experience in the scarezones will multiple "jurisdictions" as you say. This is the best description of the zones I have seen and it makes the most sense. Seems that they were teasing the new street experience with Seven last year

Beat me to it Wesker haha was just about to post that pic. I think that is a good guess. What is really intriguing me is that they are setting up scare zones for all the groups, but they say the groups will roam. Why set up zones if they are going to be walking around? Makes me skeptical about them actually moving around the park

If I'm not mistaken the 3 year arc is for LT starting in 08 and was supposed to finish in 2010. With a LT investigation each year. But due to internal issues Uni dropped it in 09 and I assumed tried to salvage in 2010 but that flopped. Anyone please correct me if I'm wrong.
Wow, if that's the case I am way off...back to the history books!!

That whole 3-year arc thing didn't have anything to do with 2010 or 2011... so no.

Wait a second, wait a second! Wasn't one of the clues about "He comes home?" The theme from Sweet 16 was "Horror comes home" and the icon was Darkness. This phone call sounds like Darkness.....is there some sort of connection here or am I also grasping at straws?
Nice association! I missed that video before my last post, also, didn't the ifrit post a pic that resembled Darkness? (As much as some here insist that ifrit was simply a detractor)

With all the speculation going on about the mysterious phone caller sounding like Fear, remember that there was a video released in 2010 saying we will see him return at some point...looking much older and worn. Also I remember remember reading something from 2010 that mentioned a three year arc in the story line starting in 2010. 2010, 2011, and now 2012...could this be the end of this story line and he is returning to finish what he started?

Perhaps they realized that they totally messed up an opportunity for a great icon with him and this will be the year they "fix" that and we see him dethroned.

I think we may be overlooking a portion of the periodic table picture. Has anyone considered that the other sticky note may not say "26>2" and rather 2672. There is a gene 2672...when this gene is mutated it causes disorders that predisposition for infections...walking dead...zombie infection? Also there is a chemical 2672 which all I can understand is that it is a corrosive chemical. Anyone who is a little more intelligent in medicine or chemistry may be of a little more help here

I don't know why I haven't seen this or why it is not on HHN's website, but I thought I would share it with you all. Notice that John says "Alice Cooper is coming to HHN Orlando" but says "a new maze" is coming to Hollywood. Could this be our second show?

You know, I've been thinking about the whole P&T thing, and is it possible that we've been putting too much stock in their involvement, and just assumed that they're directly involved as the face of the end product?
What I mean is, maybe they've been brought on more as consultants and instructors to talk about how they most effectively use misdirection for some of their tricks, or how some of the gorier ones are set up? Maybe it won't be a Penn & Teller house at all, but rather a Penn & Teller influenced house? Misdirection is a big part of any successful haunted house, after all. Not sure how likely this might be; just trying to look at it from a different angle.
I see where you are going with that idea, but some of the "in-the-know" members on the forum have suggested that there IS a P&T house. There are a few posts saying that it is 100% certain. I think they would be involved a little further than misdirection. Personally, I am starting to lean toward a "Penn & Teller present..." type of house.

Preferably the whole park!! Seriously though, probably in front one house I'm thinking and my hunch is that it will be TWD house.

if thats the reason they wont have scarezones because they want and spent all the money on penn and teller i will stop going to this event. thats ridulous and whoever made that stupid decision should be fired. if they wasted good money for good scarezones on two old washed up magicians who suck then i have lost all faith in this event.
I'm not sure if I quite agree with you, they are trying something new which is good to see, time will tell if the energy (and possibly money) was wasted. I'm interested to see how it will work if this is true and if it does not work they will know and hear about it and probably never try it again. Just stay optimistic, the event is always a blast!
Both to be honest. Comcast will have their own business practices which will not be the same as the previous owners. They will have their own way of doing things which might not be to everyones liking. Budgets, priorities and opinions will all change. Their vision of what horror night should be can change. From all the rumours I'm hearing I think we are seeing the evidence of just that.
The budgets I understand and it is something that we will have to deal with, but I'm not quite seeing the vision yet...maybe a strictly haunted house event, they will slowly take away the scarezones?

This is not the Universal that you know and loved in the past. This is the new Universal owned by Comcast, which is what's worrying people. The rules have changed. Just bare that in mind. When they said a new era of darkness I bet nobody thought they meant this.
Agreed that this is not what was expected, they knew how to create hype with the new era. By rules are you referring to business related rules or visionary event related rules?

I understand what everyone is saying about the negativity but I can't bring myself to believe that Universal would drop the ball on a large event like HHN. Have we considered that there may be a lack of scarezones because they have spent the money on a much larger surprise for us? Especially if these P&T rumors are true...

It is probably just my hopes and dreams getting me all excited, but perhaps this "one scarezone" could mean the whole park will be one big scarezone.

Dr. Jimmy just posted in the Construction Discussion that since 44 is being demolished not to expect any "feathered serpents" this year. A quick google search brought up that the Mayans had a god named Kukulkan who was a feathered serpent. Could he be telling us that 44 was supposed to be a Mayan themed house and now we will not have one?

That chain appears for the first time in season one episode one! Just noticed it the other day while watching that episode, thought it was pretty funny, unfortunately I think it is nothing more than a coincidence...but it would be very ironic!

I am not sure. I can only imagine that they took the site down to create a new one. It is just strange that it has been down for as long as it has considering the following that legendary truth seems to be getting. We shall see, probably getting worked up over nothing haha
