Personally, I wouldn't try to hide your body type (other scareactors may disagree). The entire audition is predominately a body type-out. While your face is just as important as your body, it really boils down to being comfortable yourself. The room is a dance rehearsal space, so even wearing all black "exposes" your body for them well enough.

Does anyone think it would be bad to wear black because it would hide ones body-type?

On my previous resume I put that I had experience being a Kung Fu instructor, do you think this would go against me because it would make me seem like I might fight back if someone tried to hit me.

Shesalive I just wanted to give you some appreciation for you scaring because I thought it looked so cool when you would practically jump out and fling your arms to one side and swing your head and body to the other side, … at least that is what thought it looked like you were doing
Anyway I thought you were an awesome Bride of Frankenstein and I hope we will see you reincarnating in a different role next year -

This is from our resident forum member Dave M... some of you know him for his amazing photography skills. Anyway, he is at that HHN Q&A thingy where TJ Mannarino is talking about the event. According to Dave, TJ had this to say about Horror Unearthed...
Though I am not normally one to get scared, this would be an amazing Idea to set into motion!

I thought B&T was pretty bad this year too, of course I thought this the first time I saw last years two, but after seeing it like 10 times, I grew to love the cast and the last show was so emotional lol I think even an actress was crying. I won't have time to see the show again so for me the show wasn't that great I got a few laughs but nothing memorable and no characters other than Bill and Ted that really made me love the show. But like a lot of people that have said above my comment, I think the problem was the script. I didn't like the music choices either... at least they had Gangnam Style. Honey Boo Boo Child was pretty awsome and I'm glad they had a Jaws gag.

So did the fact that you had worked Halloween Horror Nights before mean that you got to go to the reunion auditions? Also congratulations for getting a part.

So do any of you guys know if the reunion auditions include every employee that worked HHN last year or if that it only applies to the scareactors?

Unfortunately, the ride and show personnel who work Halloween Horror Nights are actually full-time employees who work in other areas of the park (typically rides or retail). They are selected by the managers to work the event. Universal does not hire additional employees for those positions.
Don't worry I was cut too lol but don't lose all faith. They just might call you back for ABU ;D
It happens. My brother, who is average height (5'8") and weight (150 lbs) and had full availability, didn't get cast. This was his 3rd year auditioning. Admittedly he has yet to make the earliest times of the open auditions, but still. It's sad because I know my brother would do an excellent job and put his whole effort into doing it right. I KNOW for a fact they probably hired several people who will quit by the second week or show no real effort or excitement for being a scare actor.
Don't take it too badly, a majority of it is just based on body type. Not getting cast doesn't say anything about your work ethic or acting ability.

made me feel a lot better. On another note if I do manage to get an interview and hired to be a house attendant but then by miraculous chance I do get a call to become ABU, would I be able to just switch straight to ABU? Would they let me? The last thing I would want to do is to get in trouble with Universal and never have the opportunity to work for them :| -

I remember reading on another forum that if you audition and get the job you will be asked to give all of your body measurements on paper. Should I bring a paper in preparation for the audition? Is this true? Also, should I bring a resume? Any answers will be greatly appreciated. Best of Luck to everyone else who is auditioning.

I had the same thing happen to me.
Both of the Vanity minions got in on it and wouldn't let me pass! It was really entertaining. Last night, my friends and I were sitting on a bench and the Vanity minion came over and he told her he wanted to cut her face off. He asked her name and then he proceeded to come by a few more times and just say her name creepily. Loved it!
This is gonna sound creepy, but I saw the vanity guy come up and start talking to you guys while I was passing through. Must I did envy you guys lol get it
