  1. I agree our lineup is much more exciting than Hollywood's. Based on what Murdy said last night, their Halloween maze will be nearly identical to ours from last year.

But the one rumored yet to be revealed maze that both excites and puzzles me is of course This Is The End.

I do not know if the Hollywood leak is legit, although with four mazes and a show all matching up perfectly it certainly seems to be the case. But I watched this film last night and was flabbergasted. How are they going to pull this off?

There are so many problems that I cannot comprehend it at all. From legal problems of actors' rights to control their likenesses to controversy over a maze that basically, is about the Christian Rapture, I cannot imagine them even wanting to take it on!

Not to mention the problems of capturing the film in any legitimate and accurate way without including some very questionable sexual situations (Rape? can they reference that at all in today's climate?) and copious drug use!

But if they are able to pull this off and do it well and correctly, then absolutely I would go to Hollywood this year just for that maze alone - if I had the opportunity to do so, if for no other reason than for the final scene.

If they do it the way the film ended, that would be epic beyond belief!

I mean, Backstreet Boys in Theme Park Heaven!!!!

I hope no one is too inconvenienced by my going a bit off topic in a thread that's about Orlando and not Hollywood, but we are comparing the line-up so I think this still fits in here.

I had imagined/assumed that This Is The End was going to be a replacement for the Bill & Ted show.

  2. I for one enjoy a good generic hoodie...all I need is the name of the event I love on the front. I'd rather have that then some really elaborate (albeit tacky) design of a year that I may or may not have enjoyed.

And I too am expecting a very expensive hoodie. In the theme parkconomy, t-Shirts are $20 and button-downs are $40. Wouldn't be surprised if we get a hoodie that's $60+...

  3. Heh...so if we're ever tempted to try our luck against fate, we just need to drink a coke zero and we'll be good to go. She'll slink dejectedly back into her casino.

I'll be sure to carry many Coke Zeroes with me, then.

And her being a Greek goddess in disguise is actually pretty great, it adds that much more ethos to the character. How much do we know about this year's icon? I remember knowing a lot more about Jack, Caretaker, etc around this time (unless I'm missing out on something).

  4. Spoiler Alert

Does anyone think they could have done so much more with The Doctor? I think that's the only real thing that disappointed me with this show, is that they had some pretty cool characters that they could have used on a much larger scale. I mean, The Doctor is a time traveler just like Bill and Ted, I'm sure he could've helped them gather some pop culture characters!

  5. Question. I went through this house, loved it a whole fucking lot! That scrim ghost was really neat!

Though... I don't get it. Could someone please put whoever this myster character is in spoiler tags, maybe, instead of being all freaking vague and stuff? Maybe where I can find her too?

The Storyteller shows up in this house similar to how the HHN14 mascot shows up in Psychoscareapy. I don't remember where exactly, but I remember seeing her. I think somewhere after the room with the Chair

  6. I just came back from my trip and I've got some great shout outs to share!

-Much love to Kim (The Storyteller)! It was nice meeting her and she scared the crap out of me towards the end of the night! I turned around and she was all up in my face! That was probably the best scarezone scare I had!

-Jack from the same Cast, he was moving around being all hard to get a photo with, but luckily I was able to get his attention by telling him I was a fan!. We then had a nice little conversation and we were able to get a photo with him. I laughed when he shoo'd away some other group of people who were trying to get a photo! That Jack rocks!

-A plague doctor in Catacombs recognized me and called my name! I know you're on this board, thanks for that! Catacombs rocked.

-The cast of Havoc was intense! There would be actors that I already saw and they'd still manage to scare me!

    - The entire cast of Hades. God damn, every single room I got scared. Favorite house!

    - There was a zombie in Zombie Gras that recognize my vault shirt and immediately went after me, I had to keep backing up cause he looked like he was never gonna stop!

Oh, there was a dude I saw in a HNN shirt that I would give him a nod and a fistpump everytime I saw him. Wherever you are, FISTPUMP.

This was a great year thanks to all the scareactors!

Here's pretty ole me! I'll be wearing a Vault Shirt and a grey hat with those glasses (which are infact prescription, don't even assume!). It should be pretty easy to spot me out, hopefully.

I'll be there this Friday, hope to get some great scares! I'm a great sport, so if you want to create a scene, I can improv!

  8. I think HHN at IOA was always great. The streets were tight allowing for great confrontation with scareactors, and the years we've had at IOA have produced some of the greatest houses in HHN history!

I wouldn't mind seeing it there again. Even with Wizarding World and Suess, we'd have about 5 scarezones, which is good enough seeing as how we always have a dead zone at Universal anyway.

  9. Hello folks! I've come here with a quick question before I set sail tomorrow:

I've got Scream Early, and due to some minor complications I think I'll be arriving to Universal around 4pm. When do they stop letting Scream Early people in? I'd hate to get there and not be able to get inside just cause I got there late.

  10. Just had a couple quick questions before i go to the event this friday.

One- This is my second year going. Last year i didn't really get scared so i was wondering if i wore a HOS shirt or last years HHN shirt if i would get 'targeted' more for scares?

I think wearing a HOS shirt would be hillarious, actually. Talk about stirring the pot!

  11. We arrived at the park around 6:30 friday and was able to walk right in. The smell of the fog machines hit me almost instantly. I litterally stopped for about 2 or 3 minutes and just kept taking deep breathes. I couldn't really fathom that I was finally back at HHN again.

After I came back to my senses Esquleto Muerte was the first scarezone we walked through. It was still light outside so we kinda just bypassed it until later when it got a little darker outside. Following my normal pattern that I do every year we did the soundstage houses first. First up on the list was Legendary Truth. Absolutely loved the facade, Very well done. I can sum up this house in one word. Awesome. Plenty of scares throughout the entire house and I loved the sound effects. I'm going to give it a 4 out of 5.

Next it was Psychoscareapy. Loved seeing the Shadybrook building again. As usual the psychoscareapy houses have yet to let me down. Scares were everywhere from start to finish. So again 4 out of 5.

Then we did Hades. While we were waiting in line it started to rain. Thankfully it wasn't that long of a wait. I was skeptical to see how this house would turn out and man oh man it was phenomenal. The facade was incredible and the monsters inside scared the s@#% out of me. Loved every minute of it. 5 out of 5.

After that we saw the Bill and Ted show. I regretfully have to say that I was a little let down. Compared to years past this years show was a real let down. And wasn't that cowboy doll with the pull string wearing a mask from leave it to cleaver last year. I mean I still love it and everything it just seemed like it was missing something. 2 out of 5.

After the Bill and Ted show we decided to do one more house because it didn't seem like the rain was going to stop completely so we did Hallow'd Past. Eventhough this house didn't really have alot of scares there was just something about it that I love. Seeing all the props from HHN's past really made this house worth while. All in all 4.5 out of 5.

The next day we headed back for round two. First on the list was the AP party. Had a great time as always. We didn't really stay long because my friend wanted to go and do more houses so off we went. First house we hit on Saturday was Zombiegeddon. This house was ok. The scares and all around theme to it was good but I would only give it about a 3 out of 5.

Next we did The Orfanage. Not bad in my book. This house definitly had a creepy feel to it. And it was good to finally see Cindy in her own house. Just wish the house was a little longer. This house gets a 4 out of 5 from me.

The next house on that nights agenda was Catacombs. This facade was ok and so was the initial house. This house didn't really give that many scares because all the scareactores pretty much looked the same throughout the entire house. But on a good note the house nice and dark and it did give you a sense of claustrophobia which was kinda nice. 3.5 out of 5.

After that we did Havoc. The facade was great and the house was very alive I guess would be a good word to describe it. It really kept you going from start to finish. 4 out of 5 for this one.

Before seeing the Brian Brushwood shows Menace and Malice by the way which were two freakin HOT ass dancers in the begining we went and did the scarezones. The first zone we officially took out time and walked through was Zombie Gras. It was kind of small but all in all not to shabby. 3.5 out of 5.

Then we did Saws and Steam. The detail and scares mixed with all that fog was a perfect match. Sting alley was the ideal spot for this scarezone. I hope that they utilize it again next year. 5 out of 5. Then thers the pumkins for some reason that area is HHN to me.

The next scarezone we did was 20 years of fear. Absolutley loved it. Seeing the past icons with their own little special areas was awesome. A definite 5 out of 5 for that scarezone.

Fear Revealed was next. This one was cool getting to see fear himself was amazing but when he started talking it was even more incredible and creepy. That and the fire coming from the two X's put it over the top. Great job. 4 out of 5.

Next we did The Coven. Nice detail and effects. I actually got a scare while walking through this one. Good job. 4 out of 5.

The final scarezone we did before heading back to the hotel was Esqueleto Muerte. Since we really didn't do this one on friday because of the rain we just saved it for when we were leaving the event on saturday. The whole blacklight thing really worked for this scarezone. Plus you can't go wrong with skeletons. 3.5 out of 5.

    Life; made easier!

  12. So, is this "photo booth" similar to this:

Yeah, in fact it looks exactly like it!

And about the whole 'Jack selling out' thing, Jack is Horror Nights. There's nothing he could do that would be consider "selling out" in my eyes. People love him and they want to see him.

  13. Honestly, I agree, although now that I have an annual pass this no longer matters to me.

Last year I had no annual pass and loved the fact that I could go to IOA for 3 hours before HHN since I was up in orlando. But now with Potter open, getting to go into IOA is now worth a lot more, and Universal would lose a lot of potential money if they let people into IOA for only $15.

They still could have made so much more money if they did it at IOA instead of Universal, I know tons of people who would pay that $15/20 just to see the Wizarding World.

  14. So I just found out that the Scream Early addon is going to be at Universal Studios this year, as opposed to Islands of Adventure, like it has been for these past few years.

Does anyone else think this is a bad move on Universal's part? I mean, the Studios is great and all, but I think Uni could have made so much more from having it at Islands, what with Wizarding World open. I know I was looking forward for those few hours at IOA before heading to HHN. I'm not gonna pay extra money to ride Rip Rid...oh wait, that's closed. The Mummy, I guess.
