  1. I'm sorry, I don't post here much but I had to say something. Why does speculation always somehow turn to Bioshock? No matter how many times it is said this won't happen someone comes in and brings it up again. Bioshock is not going to be a house. This year or next. Besides that the game is now a few years old and we are now instead looking torwards Bioshock: Infinite. My point is this is not getting us any closer to figuring out what this year might be. There is a wish list thread for these things. And I don't care how much you might want it but nothing points to it and all the reasons why it couldn't happen have been pointed out. So why not put it where it belongs and we can add to this thread. And to do just that here are my thoughts on a few things.

I don't see Cindy happening. The amount of convolusion that would have to happen to make this fit her story would destroy her character. Her icon status ( if you can call it that having never had an entire event to herself) is that of her as a child. To make her grown up to fit this story would basically make her someone else. The general public won't know it's the same girl they'll just know this is a girl named Cindy and make no connection. Also why is it that a small mention of fire brings up Cindy? The original story of Eddie was him getting disfiguered by fire. Fire isn't just associated with her.

As for Chance, yes please. I fell in love with her last year. And since there is no backstory for her creating one wouldn't be a process of continuity error, twisting, or shoving a round peg into a square hole story wise like it would be for Cindy. And since she isn't really at icon status this wouldn't be a rehash of old icons. But with it being "a new decade of horror" (or whatever it was) even this doesn't seem likly ( though right now subtle clues do point to Chance, even more so than Cindy unless you twist things to fit what you want).

  2. Ok, my BIGGEST gripe this year is what BRAIN SURGEON decided to charge EVERYONE 25.00 to park in Valet? I was told by customer service that this was a LAST MINUTE thing, it is not on the website and NOT on the Premier annual passes. The poor valet guys were not making any money, I had to park in the stinking garage with a million other people and what really bothered me was what if you were just going to have dinner, go to citiwalk or see a movie? There are over 20 days in the month of October that Universal wants to charge you FULL valet prices for parking! It really discouraged me from going over there for dinner and the movies on a couple nights. First of all Universal, IF you are going to charge for valet, MAKE SURE you give annual pass holders at least a years notice and it is in BOLD print. Second, IF you are going to charge for parking, at the LEAST you could give pass holders a discount for like 5 or 10 dollars to park, NOT the full 25 dollar price everyone else is paying.

I also agree with one of the earlier posts about flashing hats/horns. I was waiting in line for the mummy with friends and saw three girls get on the ride with those flashing horns. Not only do this items ruin the effect of the ride, but they could fly off and hit a customer behind them during the course of the attraction. Universal should have a IRON CLAD rule that NO flashing items can be turned on during shows, rides OR houses. There are just too many ignorant people out there that only care about their own pleasure and ignore everyone elses point of view.

They did let us know that you would have to pay for valet on event nights. It says it right on the back of my Premier Annual Pass ticket. That's why I've been parking perferred every event night. And if you park as close as possible to the exit there is usually no problem getting out. Non event nights I still parked valet for free. I don't know how you had this problem. That just sucks.

  3. Haven't posted in a while but after reading these weapons ones I remembered something. Twice in the times that I have gone the security guards have stopped lento look at my keys. Why? Because there are two fake keys from Disney and they are questioning whether they are weapons or not. It usually takes about ten minutes for a lead to come over and say that KEYS are ok. What's up with that?

  4. The people that make up the operations team for each of the HHN houses are from the Attractions-Operations team and each of the houses has it's own Supervisor (that is already a supervisor for an attraction in one of the parks) as well as lead attendants, then the regular attendants. The supervisors will take a good majority of the staff from their own attraction to work the houses..this goes for leads as well. Some times, you have to ask a supervisor to be able to work with their team at a specific house. The company hardly ever just hires people to work for HHN itself..maybe you'll be hired for Attractions around that time and you can get on a team some where, but they don't just hire operations team members just specifically to work HHN and that's it. So, if you really want to work the event, try and go for attractions. That's your best bet...or, audition to be a Scareactor.

They do actuaaly hire for HHN alone though. Around August or September they hold a job fair to put people in these positions. Working as an ops. staff for two years I met alot of people who were hired in for HHN and then stayed on in attractions attendents roles afterwards.

  5. Around September Universal usually hires for operations people if they need more. These people are usually seasonal, given a "home attraction", and then work as operations for the houses. Afterwards they might go work that home attraction or leave.

  6. So I just bought a new camera for HHN hopefully I will be posting some nice pics later on. The problem is I am not really camera literate. I didn't get an expensive DSLR camera or whatever but I did get one that is supposbly good. Anybody want to meet me early at the parks one night and help me get the best out of my camera? I hate having a camera that I don't understand completely.

All right if this worked here it is if not give me more time. As you can see it is the same certificate from 2008 but my question is even if it is the same one why was it not taken out? The hearse can be opened from the back and as you can see the certificate is nearly hidden under the coffin. It looks like it was moved. if it fell it fell in an awfully strange position so that it could still be seen.

Also thank you JWFearman for your help.
