  1. Hell House = incredibly creepy and one of my favorite Matheson stories. Add the doll factor in and the creep -o-meter for this house goes through the roof in a major way. Taking us back to Carey, Ohio makes this one a winner already in my book.

Did LT:Wyandot Estate take place in Carey? The only events I've been to were 07,10,& 11. And Carey just sounds ultra familiar...maybe from reading the walkthrough/wiki on older mazes?

And also, the doll thing might make this house one of the better ones in terms of legitimate scares for me...i don't do dolls.

    Eff. That. Noise.

  2. Being a devout Catholic, I don't know whether to be offended by this theme, or completely & utterly ecstatic. I think I'll choose the latter.

    (not getting into religion here,but....)

I hope the former isn't the case...if it is, man you would be pissed when you see the tatto covering my shin of the Buddy Christ from Dogma.

In all seriousness though, not counting SH or TWD, this is probably my most anticipated house, as the set designs(if done anything like Winters Night) will be nothing short of beautiful.

Going to try not to get my hopes up too much and get let down like I did with The Thing last year.

  3. The scribes seen at the beginning & end of the house were the priests, if you got the chance to really look at their mask, their eyes were "X'd" out.

Were their eyes x'd out because of bloody Mary, tying her more into the house?

And as cool as more Buffy monsters would be.... I CAN'T be the only person who would love a house based on Supernatural.

  4. Anyone here believe that an opening ceremonies show will be done with the Icon or theme (if there is one, especially considering the Legendary Truth esque feeling) or is this just wishful thinking? I mean there is one unaccounted show...

But isn't this unaccounted show set to be in BJ theater? Wouldn't be much of an opening ceremony show if you had to go to the complete opposite suite of the park before you can see it. Just a thought.

(edit note) dang auto correct on my phone...this is what i get for using the mobile app

  5. practically all I remember from last year was the True Grits joke...wasn't a fan personally.

B&T seems to have gone downhill every year i've seen it. I'm to the point where I don't think there's anything wrong or "lazy" with the writing...I just think its basically the same show every year.

I still go see it every year for a few laughs and a good change of pace from all the haunts.

Agreed. I just think they kept pushing the "and don't forget my balls were in it" joke too hard.

  6. Maybe we can get a little dubstep thrown into the dead exposure type house or hell I could even see p&t having it as well, just depends on if they wanted a whole track or just a good drop.

That being said, I don't seriously think this will happen in either case.

Although imo they could rip on dubstep in bill and Ted with lady year especially being a large expansion in popularity of the genre.

And speaking of the "DE"-type house, what type of music if any did they use with the original?

  7. And the Clowns i was thinking more of in front of IFF where Canyon of Dark Souls was last year.

If it actually went down like this they could use props from carnival of carnage if they by chance were to still have those lying around..

That,i think, would actually be kind of cool as that was probably my favorite SZ I've ever been in.. Come to think of it, that's the only one I really remember from 2007...only other events I've been to were '10 & '11. Neither of which had zones as in depth or intriguing in my opinion.

  8. Nightingales was in SS23, that has nothing to do with The Forsaken or any of the other 3 previous houses located in B79 (parade building). If you had read carefully, you'd see people were unsure if "flying" scareactors could be done in that house location.

Well you see, I WAS actually reading...but I don't have those locations completely memorized. No need to be rude about it.

  9. While booking our trip this year I went to the universalorlando.com page and checked out the theme park hours and at the bottom there is a footnote with this :

    • Universal's Cinematic Spectacular: No shows on 9/6 - 9/8, 9/19, 9/21 - 9/22, 9/27 - 9/30, 10/4 - 10/7, 10/11 - 10/14, 10/17 - 10/21, 10/24 - 10/28, 10/31, 11/15, 12/5

Is this the lagoon show or something else that won't be happening during HHN?

    Lagoon show.

  10. They had a "flying" scareactor for one of the final scares in last year's Forsaken

If i'm not mistaken or taking the term "flyers" incorrectly, weren't there flyers over the trenches in Nightingales as well?

Typed in Halloween horror nights into Amazon.co.uk and this book was one of the top ten related items---- Eve bunting's Night of the gargoyles---- coincidence haha

BAM! That's our literature house! :-P

  11. My wish for this year is that everyone who is bitching, whining, moaning and complaining about the event so far, comes back here after their first visit or two and is all "OMG, it was so absofreakinglutely amazing!!!" Every year people start complaining before we even get an active website or know all the pertinent details.

If that wish can't come true, then I hope this same group of people stay the hell home. That just means fewer people in the park for the rest of us to deal with...and shorter lines at the bars :-)

Hear, hear. Last year being my first event I could *LEGALLY* (ahem.) drink at...I was a bit saddened and dismayed at a 20+ minute wait for the full house blinky cup drink...At least it was worth it...

And hey, since this is the wishful thinking thread, maybe we can get express passes for bars!!! ^_^

  12. wait so you missed the house but you are mocking the house? interesting, lol, yeah the house was lots of strobe effects but it was really scary and cool, it was surreal

Just trying to make a funny...seriously though, heard nothing but good things about it

  13. I have now received new information that indicates the above is not entirely correct. I was asked not to reveal the correct information, but I see now that Jeramy has made the corrections on the first page of this thread. The houses are correct, it was the exact sound stage locations that were a bit off.

If Jeramy is right, and I have no reason to suspect otherwise, I also got the sprung tents reversed.

I feel a bit behind now...so are we still at only 2 houses confirmed or is there a 3rd? Haven't heard anything from HHN FB. And, American Werewolf? Was that supposed to be house 8?
