My first year at HHN was in 2009. Brings back great memories!

This year is a bit unprecedented as they now have full blown metal detectors just to get into Citywalk. No idea if they will again check at the gate or if this will be considered enough. My guess they will check again because... Well i have the worst experiences with HHN security.
Vape pens, as of last I heard, was regulated to designated areas just like any other smoking. There was talk at one point of banning them but they decided on handling them like normal smokers.
Thanks for your reply.

Any idea on how security has handled vape pens in the past couple years? Curious if anyone has had any issues bringing one in to the park. Also, I'm doing Stay and Scream each night, so I am not sure if their is simply a metal detector wand or full-blown walk-through security arch at the holding pens.

To the girl who jumped the line in one of the rooms who turned out to be a victim/actor... very cool. First time seeing that.

Legacy stated: The biggest issue... is the fact that scareactors are announcing publicly they're quitting...
Isn't that what social media is for? LOL I agree 100% with Legacy... Welcome to 2015.

Anyone have an idea, from previous years experience, how Sunday, November 1 will be this year in terms of crowds?

Didn't even realize that I was in your tour group! I was the blonde kid with his dad.
What's up man? I do believe we had a great group on our tour.

So... I just got back from HHN after a nice five day vacation and I attended the event last Wednesday and Thursday. I am having withdrawals!
It just so happens that I have a Frequent Fear Pass and have the rest of the Wed/Thurs/Sun nights to go. I have decided to attend the last night of the event which happens to be a Sunday.
Question: From past experience, how are the crowds for the last night of the event? -
My wife and I took the AM tour this morning with Mike C. He was an awesome guide and Universal made the right choice by hiring him for this position.
We did Insidious, Asylum, 25 Years, then a sneak peek into the Piccadilly Square room of AWIL. It was a great experience that I recommend to any HHN fan!

Thanks for the response.

Say I want to go back to my hotel for a few and then return to the park. Is re-entry allowed during the event?

Considering you are travelling all the way from France, you should probably hit up the Tampa area and attend HOS for the experience.
As for the RIP Tour vs EP, I like the EP because my wife and I can try to hit a house using the regular line first and then use the EP during peak times while saving money at the same time. However, the HHN website states you are provided with the RIP Tour credential after the tour has ended. Does that mean EP for the houses after the tour? It sounds like it, but check with the park's guest services to confirm.
Here are a couple of options for other Orlando area haunts:
The Shallow Grave
Legends of Old Town
Have fun on your Florida vacation!! -
Here's to hoping for the morning lineup HHNUK witnessed. I would love to see the Insidious house and my wife is dying to see TWD. Asylum will be cool because of the 3D concept.
I'll be sure to report back with the lineup we witnessed.- 1

@Oysterhead00... Which of the three houses did you see during the morning tour?
-
Yes it's the exact same minus the tent where you get a wristband. But yeah it's down that sidewalk that goes to the right before you get to the main arches.
Thanks for your reply. Just one more week!!

My wife and I will be staying at the Hard Rock for the event. Their email to us states: As an on-site hotel guest, you’ll receive priority access to a special Halloween Horror Nights®entry gate each event night until 8pm.
Where is the 'special' entry gate located? Is it where all AP holders enter during AP early admission nights to the far right of will-call?

Thank you for your spoiler-free review.

That video is awesome and gets me so hyped for this year! Thank God we finally got something to chew on that is put together good.

Just got word they're recreating one of the most entertaining aspects of 2004.
My guess... return of Old Smokey (even though it has been around since), the last hallway in Run:HT and Eddie chasing his victims, or Midway of the Bizarre.

I'm stoked for this year's line-up! I'm going to be able to experience houses and themes not in my HHN history. I am most anticipating FvJ, BC, and Insidious.

I just played through all of 2010s games just for the heck of it. I guess I just wishfull thinking for this year and future event websites.

I would like to see a couple things come back this year. One... an interactive website with games like 2010 (Warehouse Experience). Two... live camera feed from opening night like a few years back. My first year was RoF (2008) and the interactivity got me so stoked for my park visit.

^^agreed.
The atmosphere is what gets my goat. The sound, the lights, and scareactors roaming the streets; it's all good.

I rarely post and just simply read. However, I do have a suggestion... a new thread should be created and reserved for members who do not wish to attend HHN (which a few members have stated) and choose to continue ranting over how things are going down the "commercialized" tubes.
I for one enjoy HHN and what it brings each year and am willing to pay the ticket prices offered. I must say that I started late in terms of beginning my attendance at HHN (2008 to present) and regret not going to earlier years. My wife and I are happy making this our yearly getaway and give many thanks to UO for putting this on. /endrant
