  1. Tonight will be my 9th visit - last night was really packed but I also got those FOL passes by random guests. Also finally met John Murdy last night and spoke with him about the event. Super cool.

On another note, was anyone there on Halloween? For the second half of the night, there was literally no line for any house, so we just did them over and over again. We kinda went trick or treating in the Halloween house too haha. We did it five times in a row (they just let us go straight to the entrance of the house from the exit) and every time the pumpkin heads at the end would give us something. At first it was a banana covered in stickers, and then candy! They were so excited and so were we that we just stayed in that room and danced with them. (I can't make this up.) Also, the actors had so much room to play because it was so dead. Michael followed me through some of the house, and so did a Jason and Freddy in FVJ, and so did a Krampus! Quite the experience!

Anyway, hope everyone had fun and have fun to those who will be there tonight as well!

  2. Hi! I haven't posted since 2012 but I'm on here every year. Took the studio tour today and got some horrifically bad pictures of some houses. The tram went oddly fast, but here they are:

The FVJ facade says "Craven Industries" in honor of Wes Craven.

Also, AHS still has the steel beam structure. Sorry these pictures are so bad!

  3. I was thinking about the ghost SZ and Hope that they use costumes that are not similar at all to the LT house.. I just never liked those! Any ideas on what is going in BJ? It must be some kind of musical... all this talk about Jack the Ripper/ Body Collectors made me think of Sweeny Todd which would be a cool show to do.

I was just in a production of Sweeney Todd. Bloody fun! But it's too long and complicated for HHN haha

  4. The first thing I thought of when he said "Be seeing you" and then held his fingers up to his eye, I thought of the Director because he had his camera up to his eye, and wasn't the tagline "The director will see you now" or something? I don't know haha.

  5. Ah I loved the original film! Very suspenseful and naturally creepy. The new film also looks great. The whole setting of Silent Hill is just very ominous. I hope I can go this year because I feel like it can be translated so well into a house.

  6. I'm watching Season 2 of the walking dead right now and it's the episode (for those who have seen it) where we discover what has been going on in the barn, and i'm just thinking of how amazing of a finale the walking dead house could have. I mean, considering that the last scene is the barn and the idea of the barn from the show, it has the possibility of having an awesome finale!

  7. My first year is going to be the worst year in HHN history.

I hate my parents more than ever for not letting me go last year.

Hell, if this stuff gets absolutely confirmed? I'm probably going to drop going this year altogether. It pains me to say it, since I was looking forward to it like hell, but if this is what we're getting I'd rather just stay in Disney World.

Haha trust me man, if it's your first year going, you will love it no matter what. Last year was my first year and I absolutely fell IN LOVE. I had been wanting to go since 2007 when I first heard about HHN. Trust me, you will have a great time no matter what :)

  8. Lol I was imagining the other day that "7" could be a whole theme one year. Each house would represent each of the 7 deadly sins and then the 8th house would be...I don't know maybe like an Icon house? Not sure lol. But the Gluttony house could totally be the comedy house- it could take place in a grocery store or something. Vanity house could have a mirror maze at some point. I don't know, I was just day dreaming since I miss HHN21 so much and especially "7" :)

  9. And you think that did anything other than reinforce her behavior? Trust me, she was yelling "You're not scary!" louder then ever in the next house she went through.

I have no problems with making quips when the employees aren't even trying. And there's a lot that don't. Not that I think my comments will change anyone's behavior, as I don't.

Haha I know, it was just really funny.

  10. I absolutely loved this house. It was the first of the night for me. It was extremely cool how we walked into a room with a girl standing in the corning, looking out of breath, and suddenly she whips out this pistol and starts shooting it in our general direction! So crazy. Also, my first scare of the night was the girl being taken over by the thing who comes out of the wall.

  11. I can't stand those people who say "You're not scary!" .... which is why I loved seeing this when I went- We were on our second house, The Forsaken, and two girls were in front of us. Towards the end, after the sideways ship scene, there is a part where there is a scareactor who gets you from a hole in the wall and, if he chooses, to go to the other wall and get you from there too. Well, he popped out of the first hole and the one girl goes "You're not scary!" (First, hearing that made me mad), but about 3 seconds later, he pops out of the second hole in the wall and gets the girl SO bad she literally stumbles and runs out of the house screaming "I hate you!!" Seriously, that was one of the best things ever to see. I turned around to him and gave him a BIG thumbs up. WELL DONE.

  12. I literally had the time of my life last night. It was my first time ever going, coming all the way from New Jersey. I was with my little sister, my older sister, and our friend. It was everything I hoped it would be...AMAZING. The houses were incredible and the scarezones were like playgrounds. SO MUCH FUN. I was not disappointed by a thing. (Maybe with an exception for the ridiculously long line for a few, ex. Saws N' Steam- but I look past that!) We were able to do all 8 houses and all 6 scarezones in the one night we were able to go. I have to say, the attention to detail is spectacular and the energy from the actors was so intense. I can't pick a favorite, as they all were, but If I had to mention any, I reeeeally loved Nightingales and Winter's Night. (Don't get me wrong, the others were AMAZING as well and I loved them the same. Bloodengutz was so great, btw. So fun and different from the others!) As for scarezones, "7" was so intense- we ended up making multiple trips through there- SO MUCH ENERGY and the actors were sooo animated, I loved it. Having my little sister as a target for most scareactors was a plus as well haha. The Vanity guys had fun with her. Also, one of the Gluttony guys told her that he "loved kids meals" haha. Aside from many negative comments about "Nightmaze", I actually really liked it! Walking through, we were forced to stop dead in our tracks and find another route because the actors were so quick to change the set. They were also in your face quickly too...haha. Acid Assault....ahhhhh SO awesome. Besides the obvious amazing projections, the actors were very upbeat. I saw a fight break out between two scareactors, fighting over a pan or something. The rat lady disgusted my older sister and our friend- I took pictures ;) Such a fun scarezone. Grown Evil was beautiful and very eerie. It was amazing. The actors really took on the roles of animals and they did a very well job. Canyon of Dark Souls was really claustrophobic...which is why I liked it haha. It was very chaotic! The actors were great because they really used what they had to work with to their advantage. One of the stilt walkers disguised himself at ground level until we passed him and he sprung up. So crazy! ....And just don't get me started on the houses. I have lists upon lists of things from each house that I absolutely loved. Thank you Universal for a trip i'll NEVER forget. I hope to go next year...and every year after that!

^sorry for that, I was just really excited about it......

  13. I went last night for the first time ever, (OH MY GOD, AMAZING) and aside from being told to not stop a scareactor for pictures, it was kind of funny how the scareactors reacted to cameras. The bats in Grown Evil shielded their faces with their wings, I took a picture of one of Lady Luck's minions and he was not happy....he then proceeded to come after me hahaha. Lady Luck's minions ran away, and so did the ugly lady luck (all in the scarezone by the front of the park with Lady Luck and her minions). I gave up eventually trying to take pictures, not just because of that, but because my camera is not very good :P

  14. I'm going the same Sunday you are - that particular one will probably be about as crowded as your typical peak night (not Hell Week, granted) due to some schools having the next day off. Seriously though, follow that plan and you should be okay. The soundstage lines never get too long so it's a mistake to do them first (THING generates the longest of the 3 for some reason)... it's Saws, Poe, and Bloodngutz that can get nasty.

Okay thank you! This is my first time going (SO EXCITED) after years of eagerly wanting to go. I just want to make sure that we are able to hit up all of the houses and scarezones!

  15. Go to the KidZone holding area and hit up Forsaken & In Between... then do Saws, then Poe, then Bloodngutz, then Thing. If Nightingales or Winter still has a long line, skip it for now, it'll be down to almost nothing later in the evening. Explore zones. Bam.

Awesome! Sounds good. What are your opinions on Sundays? Are they usually busy? Thanks again.
