Murdy is giving a run down of all the name game 2.0 hints, do you guys think he will announce it tonight?
scratch that.
I'll try to give you some more hints as we get closer to the announcement. It's not tonight so chill out but soon-ish. Sorta, kinda soon.

Thank you all for the replies.

Hey guys, it's the first time I've posted this season. I haven't been able to keep up with the forums as much as I would have liked to. I was wondering if someone could catch me up on what our speculation looks like at the moment? Thank you!
-
This years speculation seems to be pretty mixed up. Based off of the speculation, what properties do you all think match up to the code-names so far?
-
It isn't her name. She's a main character in the Breakfast Club. It was her credits that reminded me of AHS, like the hints said. Credits as in the movies/shows she has been in.
-
Here is my idea for teen spirit.
Teen comedy is the breakfast club.
Club has to do with poker and it is also an older movie.
Molly Ringwald plays Claire in this movie. In her credits it shows that she has been in two shows that have American in the title.
The Secret Life of an American Teenager and An American Girl on the Home Front. Since a hint was that something in the actors credits would also be in the title of the maze...American Horror Story.

That's what I was thinking.Exorcist, it has to be exorcist haha
-
@HorrorNights: What a glorious day for a maze pitch! Wore the Psycho Bunny scarf for good luck! It paid off! We got the concept blessed! That's one down!
This tweet was for Malcolm. I thought that his word choice was interesting. Got it BLESSED.

Over a year ago, HHN popped up in my head. And I looked it up to see Silent Hill, TWD, Alice Cooper & La Llorona on the teaser website of 2012. Since then I became obsessed with HHN. HNN/HHN changed me in a way. I member how obsessed I was with wanting a Slender maze and Jeepers Creepers terror tram. But it's been a hell of a year. I'm going to HHN 2013 even if it kills me!
I agree with this. My brother and I first went to HHN in 2007. The year it started back up again, HHN just so happened to pop into his head. We decided to go. And since then it has been our obsession. Since we moved, we make the journey from Iowa to California every year without fail. I can't imagine going without it. And this site helps with the year long wait. Since we all know how hard that is. So thanks mods, and everyone else on the site. Can't wait for another great year! Until next years speculation guys.

Is it just me, or do the mazes seem bigger?

October 12th and 13th for me, and wusty92191.
-
FOL was about 89-119$ depending on the day. VIP was 179-199$.
Is that including the ticket? Or an extra $89-119 on top of that?
-
There are so many possibilities with this property. I can't wait to see what Juan Murdicio does with it.

Grind.... have you been to Six Flags lately? If not, let me inform you there are literally coaster vehicles WRAPPED in advertisements. I once went on Viper as it was wrapped with an Axe ad. I once went on Ninja wrapped in a Karate Kid poster. I once went on Colossus as it was renamed to something stupid that had to do with the Three Stooges.
Advertising needs to get under control - this is actually fairly serious.
Go to Disneyland and you'll hardly see Coca-Cola advertised. No big name brands thrown onto umbrella shades or giant posters telling you to go eat Lays. A ride might be sponsored by Chase or Honda, but you'll only see that on the sign and never see it again throughout the attraction.
Who's doing it right? Disneyland or Six Flags?
Sure Disneyland doesn't need the advertising money - and we all know they're the most money hungry people in the business. But there's a right and wrong way to do things that doesn't seem so obvious.
Universal (or HHN for that matter) is going to turn into Six Flags if they're not careful. Soon, therell literally be vendors outside of a maze as you exit it selling the DVD or advanced tickets, or a voucher telling you not to forget to tune in.
Its annoying, and masking the advertising is better than BLATANT advertising. Disneyland masks their advertising and still wracks up the money on merchandise. Exit through the gift shop is a classy tact. Not exit into the park where you'll be persuaded by more ads.
I personally do not see a problem with it. If it's making more money for Universal then why not? Thats just more money that can be spent on making HHN better. We have MAJOR properties. It's not like the owners of said properties are going to just give if away that easy. Like TWD, AMC is a big company. They want a video in the TT to show off their show. Imagine getting on the tram, it showing a clip, and being like, "oh yeah, and AMC'S The Walking Dead." Of course they're going to want their properties promoted. I can live with having a little extra advertisement, in order to have them at the event.

He's making a soundtrack specifically for UMR
From @imfigure Twitter: "My music is exclusively featured at
@HorrorNights this year. New tracks plus old classic monster ones ... Really excited!"Yes he's making a new soundtrack, but he's using monster volume 3 also.
The Otis song is good but I prefer the Michael Myers one.

There's 2 Paranormal Actiivity films coming out next year, that raises the chance of getting a PA maze next year.
That's just an all around bad idea..

Same here, he said the announcement can take up to two weeks.
I really hope not. Weren't we onto having SZ's announced at this time last year?
Oh! okay. I just figured that was for a scarezone and not HOH. UMR 2.0 it is then.
-
there is only one maze and HOH, HOH I think the character design gave away its theme; UMR 2.0 I could'nt think of ANY celeb that would need to be part of that unless for some strange ass reason it's skrillix.
I must have missed that... When did we see a character design for HOH?
Also, Murdy said on Twitter: "ANSWER: Great idea! Thanks everyone! Hope you enjoy INSIDIOUS: INTO THE FURTHER. Going to film next announcement monday morning! See ya!"
This anticipation for the Pumpkin announcement is killing me!
-
he didnt directly say Pumpkin but he said an annoucment in late august so since all the other codename we're reveled it has to be Pumpkin.
I'm not sure if I remember correctly, but awhile back didn't Murdy say something about not all mazes having a codename? So... possibly another one? Or a celeb could be needed for HOH. For some reason.
-
My favorite part is that she doesn't want to go to a Halloween event because something there scares her, and how dare they put something scary in there!
lol people now a days, jeez. What are we gonna do about them?. Oh, make a thread about them! only way to moderate the damage, and have a good laugh.

Soundstage 28 and all the soundstages are on the front lot of Universal Studios. They go by the actual Studio entrance not the park entrance. The backlot is the rest of the open sets like New York street.
Well there goes my hope..
-
in response to a fan about a SS house
"No...all the sound stages on the front lot are booked"
where exactly is SS 28? Maybe he's pulling a carny trick
That's how I would take it. I mean if he specifically says front lot, and not just all sound stages. That seems like a confirmation to me. Yet again, maybe thats just what I want to believe.

@ 1 minute and 40sec it looks like the maze goes into a building and it probably comes back out on the other side of the 2nd maze construction tented area. The walls of this building look like a brick prison type feel too
Think you posted the wrong link....again.
-
For all I care let TWD be the theme again but you better have deadite Mia be in my souvenier cup...I hated last years cup.
I just want the shirts to not have the red letters over the front. Don't know why but I just do not like it.
Halloween Horror Nights - Hollywood 2015 Speculation
in Halloween Horror Nights Hollywood 2015
Posted
@HorrorNights how many more years will you be the creative director, before you retire? Then who will take your place?
Answer: well I guess I can reveal something I have never revealed. When I originally decided to come back to Hollywood and bring back HHN...I had a specific amount of years in mind that I would do the event. I never told anybody what that was. But should I really reveal that?
The number was 10. Thank you and good night
Murdy Just confirmed that this would be his last year. Unless his plan of 10 years has changed.
