  1. Not to deviate much from the conversation but this was the first thing I thought of when I saw the picture.

Note the similarity between what's circled in the new picture and the architecture of a castle turret window.

from my view, it looks more like a very dimly lit view of a ship's crows' nest... just putting it out there...

  2. This is a speculation I have been contemplating for awhile, time to let others see how they feel about it.

Way back when, when speculation first began, there was talk of a house based on E. A. Poe’s work. With HOS announcing their own Poe house, speculation died down and it was assumed we would not get one. I, now, believe we were mistaken.

When the clues from our mutual friend began to come, it was noted that they were arriving in couplet form. This inevitably led my mind back to thoughts of Poe. And I feel that there is a strong likelihood that we shall see a Poe house in Sprung Tent 2.

The following roles are from HHNRumors.com. The interpretations are mine.

    Sprung Tent 2:

Blackjack Dealer – As has been mentioned by others, a blackjack can be a weapon. It is a baton that has been used by law enforcement. My spec for this role is a character from “The Murders in the Rue Morgue”.

Bug Eye – a character from “the Tell-Tale Heart”. The old man with the vulture eyes perhaps?

Seagull – Birds of a feather? Could this be our Raven? Poe also wrote several short stories with nautical themes.

Wing – This, too, could be The Raven. I shall have to think more on it.

Cards – This makes me thinks of “The Fall of the House of Usher”.

Interrogator – “The Pit and The Pendulum”

Aristo Dead – Fortunato from “The Cask of Amontillado or Prospero from “The Masque of the Red Death”.

    Writer – Mr. E. A. Poe Himself.

i just want to say, i LOVE your line of thought here. my fiance is actually one of the Aristo Deads in that house & he would make an AMAZING Fortunato.

  3. So, here's my speculation...

The orange demon/dragon heads seem to be the same or similar texture as the heads in the vortex tunnel at The Hallow'd Past last year. They're lit the same way and are obviously 2D. Now, the other heads definitely appear to be hanging.

What if this is a Chinese New Year hint? They have lion and dragon dancers that look a lot like the ones in the photo. Remember the colored street roles.

(For a better look at the image, go here: http://twitpic.com/60ipbn/full )

there's a chance that all these things are street props that were set up for a photo. since (as far as i know, since i haven't been keeping up with the contruction thread) nothing has been put out onto the streets its pretty possible that they may be showing us hints on a street. looking at the blown up photo, it looks like the heads could be hung up on carabiners, so just a temporary set up. i see the logic behind the chinese dragon/lion dancer street... i don't see it translating well as a house. *shrug*

  4. just a thought since there is a supposed "rune" room in this house, isn't it possible that maybe this house will be something related to divination, witchcraft, & psychic phenomena?

runes are used as a form of fortune telling & divination.

in the tarot deck there is a card called The Star.

as for shoes man, i instantly thought of the card The Hanged Man

not sure how this would really be scary, i know a lot of people who that kind of stuff makes them poop their panties, though i know it wouldn't really be scary to most... but its really just a thought.... *burrows back into her hole to read more specs*
