  1. according to Google Universal has the rights to Army of the Dead and Cirque du Freak so that answers the question as to if it is possible

Thanks for that info! There are so many cool things (I think) that you could do with a house based on that movie.

  2. I voted for the Unmasking the Horror Tour. I liked LT, even though I had to leave before the final night festivities, but the tour we did before HHN17 was excellent! After doing the houses a few days before the tour, then seeing the detail that went into them, was very cool. The meet and greet after the tour was informative and interesting, especially finding out that TJ and I have common friends here in PA! I can only hope they bring it back this year?

  3. I want vodka, lots and lots of vodka. Sadly, no vodka for me till I move back to Florida.

I am currently at Orlando Airport waiting to head back to Indianapolis at 6:40. I came here for a job interview. It was a completely odd "non-interview." I mean, the guy asked me like ten questions tops. I had to ask him questions to figure out which technologies they are using there. I don't know what to think - was the guy not interested? Did he not have any experience interviewing people? He was young, so I tried flirting with him (subtly). Like, "Oh wow! You have a CCNA? That's a tough cert to get!" (It is, but still...) Haha. Anyway, it's been a long, weird day, and it's not over yet.

Sorry to hear about your frustration with getting a job. You have to think someone with your training and experience will get something soon. I have noticed your posts over the last few months, and like Lyn always says "It will work out, everything happens for a reason" You have to believe that.

I know I went through a hard time a while back, and that thinking helped me. I know a frame of mind doesn't pay the bills, but trying to remain positive in the face of tough times won't hurt either :)

Keep your chin up, you'll see (Lyn, help me out, I'm quoting you here :P )

  4. Maybe this "list" or "lists" is all a ruse by Uni to throw us off, or, just to mess with us?? They know we grovel for off season hints. It's fun to speculate.

Also, I agree with what C_D said, I think the economy will have an impact on what houses are built, how can it not??? Just another thing to ponder!

  5. Yes, Bring the tour back, keep LT if you want, but bring the tour back!!! FUBAR, Jim and Judy and my family and I had such a blast that day!! Also, thanks to the tour, that is how we all met in person at Uni

How can it not be a no-brainer, we are paying for it, there is no way they are losing $$$ by doing it!!!!

  6. I got a reply from my inquiry to VIP tours and was told they have not made a decision if the UTH tour will be back or not yet but said he would e-mail as soon as they know something official.

    keeping my fingers crossed

The tour we did at HHN17 was awesome Jim! I can only hope they listen to us and bring it back!

  7. I love the zombie signs! Awesome!

I so wish Mark and Jenn could come with me to LA. That would be fun! I am planning to buy a new digital camera (Nikon!) if I find a job in time, but in the meantime, I'm planning to rent a nice lens for my camera for the bargain price of $30. I found a local place that rents them, and one of the few benefits of living in the middle of a cornfield is that prices are CHEAP. I'm still considering going to Knott's.

I got an quite unexpected call today for a job interview in Kissimmee next Tuesday. I booked my trip this evening and was completely surprised to learn that car rentals in Orlando for one day are going for $75 to $90 in terminal! I used Priceline and got a car for $22 though. I love the name your own price feature! (: But, when I rented a car in Orlando in the past, it was more like $30 - $40 a day. I have no idea why prices are so jacked up. I would have loved to stay and visit in Orlando, but since I'm going to LA a few days later, I'm just doing a day trip.

It took me quite a bit of shopping to get a decent price for our rent a car in May. I have to use one in the terminal, I hate taking a shuttle to get a car. Anyway, I booked at Alamo for $229 total, with all the taxes and crap charges for 8 days, and that is for an economy car. When I first started looking prices were between $100 to $200 more than that. I booked back in November, and it has been up and down (but not lower) since than. It really varies week to week, who knows what the heck is going on??

  8. I could go on and on about the wrongs that LT had. In short, as I said before.. I rather give UNI money and have the Unmasking the Horror Tour back and still get to see what we did on the last night, along with having a more intimate conversation with the A&D team.

I didn't participate in LT at all, so I have no opinion on that. But I did love the tour from HHN17, going through the houses during the day was awesome, and the hanging out and talking with TJ and the creative team was great! I also found out that TJ and I have a Pennsylvania connection. He is friends with the guy who runs a local haunt, (it's callede Shocktoberfest) which is decent considering the budget and that we are in Reading PA, not Orlando. Anyway, I graduated from high school with the guy that TJ is friends with, what a small world it turned out to be that day!

  9. Here is some speculation you can put to rest. C_D will be purchasing a FFP this year. So as many thought I was just venting I will not be a member of the HHN19 team, I will be a guest. I am happy with my decision and will not revert. To much drama being a scareactor. Seems that alot of the new scareactors are more on the Drama Queen side, many do not understand the art of the scare.

    BUT

Should my interview go well in the morning you can bet I will rock HOS this year.

I'm a little late catching up here, but it will be cool to see you there at HHN as a visitor. I'll be there for a full 2 weeks, (the last 2 weeks of October) so I'm sure we'll get to hang out and do some houses together!
