  1. Ya know, I honestly find this whole icon thing pretty funny. Alot of people tend to like to yell that they dont listen to the fans, but I think they definitely do. Think about it.. HHN 21 had Lady Luck and the reaction was overwhelmingly negative. Maybe they figured "hey they didnt like our last idea, lets just focus on bringing the best environments to the event to build and set our houses in" for a few years.

  2. There is plenty they can do set wise for this. I can already see the cars from last year, the bus, that newspaper stand and the Walker Bomb truck all in use.. and that's just stuff they already have that they can reuse. I'd expect some banners and a polite stranger speaker like Hollywood had. With the chainsaws, motorcycles, and some search lights added in, I dont see how this doesnt have awesome potential.

  3. I'd very much doubt you're going to see "Titty Twister" up in neon in an Orlando family theme park.

Why not? Wouldnt it be inside the soundstage anyway? They had posters saying "XXX Orgy" in AWIL last year so I dont see why they wouldnt have "Titty Twister" if it is a necessary part of the house.

  4. Regarding the clown maze being 3D:

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but wouldn't it be extremely difficult, if not impossible, to do 3D effectively in the Disaster! Queue?

It's the one house that always has natural light effect it.

Maybe only parts of it are actually 3D, which is possible. They can enclose sections if they absolutely needed to. Last update I saw, it didnt look like lighting was even started yet, so they very well can still be adding some sort of cover to some rooms.

  5. lol... Imagine the gif if there were vampire stripper snakes.

I'd be so turned on and so deathly afraid at the same time...

Nah but really, every year I feel like I'm the only one who needs to watch these movies for the first time before I visit, but looks like now we're all on the same page here with this one.

  6. It's not that I feel the GP hates it. I'm actually referring to the fact that it appears a large number of people believe TWD will be in the streets again.

It would serve them well to address that early. For both the people who hate it and the people who love it. It just makes sense to make everyone aware that the streets will be diverse and varied this year since so many appear to believe it will be TWD themed in the streets again.

(I've read posts by people who refuse to believe that TWD won't be the whole street experience even after they watched Mike's announcement video.)

Ah well, from what I've seen, I think the Orlando GP does a pretty good job overall when it comes to knowing what to expect from the event before they get there. I sorta disagree, if they announce "scare zones are back", a very large majority will know what it means.

  7. I'm going to speculate an announcement of Purge or Purge/Face Off. If marketing has been paying attention, they should be aware that the masses haven't been paying attention and think that TWD is in the streets again. Announcing a nonTWD street would be a good move.

    .

I feel like I'm always the devil's advocate here, but why do you guys always assume the GP hates The Walking Dead? Who's to say they didnt enjoy the streets? I did and I'm not the GP..

The house the first year wasn't very good at all, I'll give you that.. but last year I thought it was a really strong house and they gave us the biggest street set piece ever. Now the largest house ever? I'm in.

Highest rated cable tevelevision show in history in the event's demographic and this property is why the event sold out for only the second time ever. You really still question why it's back?

  9. After how awesome the house was this past year and how impressive the street sets were (sure they were only a few, but they were still cool when you saw them) I welcome Walking Dead back with open arms. Bring me another house, I'm all for it. As for hordes go, disappointed to hear they might return, but as long as they arent as bad as the first go around, I'll be ok with it.

  10. HatetoFly just posted a huge new rumor involving an icon on OU. Really interesting, pretty much a 180 from where everyone else thought this year's event could be going. (Trying to comment to start a discussion without actually leaking the info from their members-only thread. I love both OU and HNN, dont want to stir any trouble.)

  11. "The duo have enjoyed a life beyond the films thanks to Bill and Ted's Excellent Halloween Adventure at Universal Studios Orlando Florida and Universal Studios Hollywood. The show has been running since 1991 and will now continue to run for the next five years thanks to new deal with Universal."

I hope the Hollywood show opens with the biggest, baddest, longest, most-pyros-ever-used, gayest opening dance number in which Bill and Ted then after emerge from the phone booth, exchange salutations, and then say "SUCK IT!" *Guitar riff*

Nah, but really, as someone who was really disappointed with the decision they made during the run, very glad to see the show will be back.

  12. Surprised nobody has brought up the idea of there possibly not being a Disaster house for HHN 24. Earlier rumors had said that the ride would be getting a major overhaul to become a King Kong attraction, but those rumors have calmed down abit and now it looks like that it'll get a major refurb at the least with changes to the station, queue, effects, RV's, etc.
