  1. Thanks to everyone that came out! It was a lot of fun and we got to see a lot of insight into the creative process of Halloween Horror Nights and learned that the only thing that scares TJ is late at night, after all of the guests and scareactors go home, when he's going through an empty house when no one else should be there and he hears a noise, he will jump and click on his maglight.

The Event was hosted by Ad 2 Orlando, an organization of students and young professionals between the ages of 18-32 in the industries of Advertising, Public Relations, Social Media, Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design, and so much more. Each month, we put on programs with speakers, like TJ, or we host networking events for you to meet other professionals of Orlando. It's a great time and it's a really great opportunity to network and learn the industry as well as finding about Jobs or Internships in the area.

If this was your first Ad2 Event, or if you were unable to attend and you'd like to learn more, Check out the website Here and stay up to date on upcoming events by liking our Facebook Page or following us on Twitter

Once again, thank you all for coming out, and we hope to stay involved with Universal Orlando Resort and Halloween Horror Nights... possibly in the very near future. Stay Tuned.

  2. Hey Everyone!

If you've ever wanted to talk with one of the horrifying minds that help create Halloween Horror Nights, now's your chance!

Come to Elixir in Downtown Orlando on October 23rd from 6:30-8:30pm to learn what really goes on behind the scenes and see how TJ Mannarino, Director of Art & Design at Universal Orlando, develops and creates a haunted concept and then turns it into reality.

  3. I think a house done in black and white or a sepia type color scheme would be cool. It would almost be art in my opinion. I doubt they would do it honestly but it's a good idea.

well they were able to capture it in the Phantom of the Opera room in Silver Screams. I mean, of course it wouldnt be 100%, but the way they light the room and the way they paint the room/design the costumes could make it possible for you to feel like you're at least looking at a Black&White scene.

  4. Another completely unsupported thought; but what does everyone think about a black-and-white house for the WWI house?

Anybody who walked through silver screams in '09 remembers the phantom of the opera room where the lighting made you feel like you were in an old black and white movie.

the only evidence i could gather (and its a stretch) is the WWI game on the site is, unlike every other game, in Sepia (aged film fades to brownish hue).

What if, and a big WHAT IF, the entire house was in black-and-white or in Sepia? thoughts?

  5. who knows dude.. but all i remember is that they didnt have it open because of how close it got to guests... just saying haha

It's mostly a matter of protecting the guests from other guests. since the lines for the soundstage houses are usually under the rocket, there's nothing protecting them from any loose articles being launched at them at 70mph. not that i wouldn't take the opportunity to pelt a handful of change at some asshole guest cutting in line or something from the vantage point of the rocket. tee hee hee.
