  1. ^ Thats clever, this isn't if what your saying is true, considering you were the only one who got it. Even though HHN has the scare and flair and knotts has the OMG THERES SO MANY HOUSES. I know HHN is scarier, cause monsters actually hide in door and windows and dont just stand there and snarl, they also go with a story where at knotts there was a killer doll in hatchet high and zombies in club blood. Very confusing IMO!

  2. Ive heard openings not to bad...its dead if you go opening to haunt. Also I live in Irvine, so I am leaving at 4 three hours before the event. I havent been to Universal in a LONG time. I only frequent Disneyland, and go to Knotts and SFMM once a year, but to put it in perspective last time I went to Universal ET was one of my favorite rides. I am really looking forward to HHN and cant wait. Also there is a slight chance I can get my mummy credit(coaster nerd talk for those who don't know) so I will be there early for sure! I barely have 50 credits. I have heard from Robb Alvey(admin of themeparkreview, who is mentioned on the HHN review section of HHNs site, and he has said it is the best event, so it is pretty much based on his recommendation that I am going opening night, but he gets a press pass, so he may be biased.

  3. As some of you may have seen the HHN commercial is now online and possibly on tv, although I have not seen it. The commercial is kind of strange in my honest opinion. First of all La Lorena is one of the big 3. This would be fine, but corpses seems to be the big maze this year. I was assuming Freddy would show up as he is the icon, and I was expecting Jason, but was expecting Capt. Spaulding or something as opposed to La Lorena. The only theory that makes sense is my head is that corpses is not as famous, but at the same time nothing tells you thats La Lorena, and no matter how famous the story is people are probably not just going to assume it is her. Also am I the only one who feels Freddy is kind of a lame icon? My main issue is fear is the universal Orlando icon, but out tagline is What Fear Fears most. It seems strange that if Freddy is the icon he should have part of the commercial. Anyway, what do you guys think?

  4. I am not much of a Universal person theme park wise(sorry, but I am a disney fan) but is there any way they could extend this at all? This appears to be "THE ZONE" that they are advertising this year. No way are they putting her in such a small zone! Shes one of the "big 3" that show up in the commercial along with Freddy and Jason. I have no way to actually guarantee this, but I cant imagine La Lorena being so small when she is pretty much the scarezone "icon." That just seems strange.

I am actually very impressed with the few pictures taken, especially that first shot. I actually have a feeling this house will scare the hell out of me. I dont know how to explain it, but for some reason Freddy is a favorite. So far I am impressed, and I like the idea of the preschool, the rooms so far all look nice and this should be an awesome house!

  6. Im happy they're not doing Wolfman. That film was not good, and even though he individually is a cool enough character there is not enough to design an entire area based on Wolfman, also that will probably be a strange transition. I REALLY wish the woods would be themed to the evil forest from Evil Dead! I LOVE evil dead, it is one of my favorite horror films as it has enough jump scares and paranoia moments to put most modern day movies to shame, but it still has a sense of humor. Also Bruce Campbell is a BEAST! I love Ash, most awesome horror hero ever!

  7. This seems to be the "scarezone icon" if there ever was one. This is the one HHN is promoting like crazy on their website, at least compared to the others. I would bet this one is also the most detailed and atmospheric out of all of them since the space is so small. Hopefully this will be "the scarezone" since it is being heavily advertised. As previously mentioned this should be relatively atmospheric as there will not be chainsaws or anything like that and it is somewhat story based. I am assuming to increase the atmosphere the only sound you will hear will be her crying and maybe the sound of water of some kind. If everything goes together right this could end up being REALLY cool. Also I am predicting LOTS of fog to make this as eerie and as creepy as possible. Honestly if pulled off right this should be terrifying, especially as this is such a cool area. The website mentioned being stalked by La Lorena and a smaller scare zone can pull off this effect well!

  8. ^^ No, this is my first HHN after years of haunt. Haunt just does not scare me anymore, and HHN always seemed scarier, so I'm trying it out for the first time. I also didnt see the new one, but if what TRevler is saying is right, and Ive found him to be pretty reliable at TPA than this has potential. I heard someone over there mention the maze was a cool concept, and no victims sounds pretty freaky!

  9. I dont know what exactly to expect, but according to themeparkadventure.com even people who hated the new movie said this maze was impressive. Of course they saw it scare free, but I actually like this house idea more than most people. In my mind Freddy is the ultimate horror icon. Hes got some awesome kills which can almost compete with Jason and leatherface, but hes also somewhat of a literal monster because he does not rely on reality. I may be disappointed, but I am REALLY looking forward to this maze this year.
