  1. Personally, I think Chucky's part on TT was smart and well-played (the backstory).

But everything else was lacking. Scares were lacking, but fortunately, there were more than just one or two bushmen this year :)

Even the chainsaw scare they have each year (when dropping people off the TT), was lacking. It seemed like the amount of scareactors were limited

La Llorona's part seemed like a waste, she didn't really scare anyone - she just walked around saying "where are my children?"

Isn't she supposed to be speaking in spanish?!

Started strong (Chucky's part) but quickly died out after the Bate's Motel. (Mother's scares were good though :) )

    2/5.

  2. This maze was very unnecessary for a repeat.

I mean, I still enjoyed it but like everyone else said, it was TOO familiar.

I remembered all the booholes, plus they took out the scene with Jigsaw on the bed and a surgeon with a saw coming out at you (which scared me ALOT last year).

3/5, average, still got some scares out of it - but not as intense as last year.

  3. From what I've seen, I think its a good year for guests. Its been a rough year so far for me. I'm having trouble adapting to a mask after 4 years of not having to wear one.

Oh! One decently cool thing happened tonight. I went on House of 1000 Corpses again during a break, and got there RIGHT when they were letting Rob Zombie and friends in. Had to wait like 10 mins or so while they cleared the maze and when they opened it back up, my buddy and I were the first ones in (and I think they held the line a little behind us too) so EVERY scareactor did their scare for us and it was VERY cool. My friend got scared a few times, and I actually got a scare in there, which is rare! I stand by my opinion that this is the best maze USH has ever done.

    Sounds awesome!

Which line do you think was the longest of the night? HOTC?

  4. How is "Klownz in the hood fitting?" I think they would have done just as well with Klownz & "ha ha ha" written all over it. Or even better graffitti pics of clowns all over those bins. I know we all came to the conclusion that this SZ would NOT be under blacklights, But from the looks of the artwork I cant help but to hope theres a few black lights in there.

they should have Joker sliders around the area again :)

  5. So what does your gameplan look like?

I don't know how I should do it this year, but i normally go:

the maze at the WWW stunt show area

    lower lot

    lower lot maze

rides (twice if friends wanna go again)

    simpsons

    break (food)

    bill and ted

    terror tram

    maze at shrek 4d area

    house of horrors

and i'm thinking about going to HOTC last to end the night.

    what would your gameplan be?

and just a question, would you suggest terror tram or lowerlot first? id be going opening weekend and there wont be alotta people, but lines would still be long - whats your take on it?

  6. Today while driving, I had an amazing idea that would've been an awesome music video/commercial for HHN.

I was listening to "This is Halloween", the Marilyn Manson cover of the Nightmare Before Christmas song and I had a thousand images running through my head.

The lyrics also help out as some of them lend their selves to the Icons being used at HHN this year. For example --

In relation to Spaulding: "I am the clown with the tear away face!" Now, obviously his face doesn't come off but that's besides the point.

In relation to Freddy: "I am the shadow in the moon at night, filling your dreams to the brim with fright."

Now this is where the fun is:

It would be a video of the HHN icons roaming Knotts Scary Farm, KILLING ALL THE MONSTERS singing the song while terrorizing them.

The end of the song, all of the HHN icons would align the Calico stage where the Hanging takes place with one of the lead icons for Knotts this year in the gallows, Freddy as the executioner.

Right after the lyric, "in this town, we call home, everyone hail to the pumpkin song." Freddy would release the lever, and metaphorically hanging Knotts. And the crane shot would pull back as all the icons sing their "lalalalas" to show an audience of all the scareactors at HHN this year, watching and cheering, until pulling back to show all of Knotts decimated in the background, blood and mayhem everywhere. Then tilt up to show the full moon and Happy Halloween splattered/written in blood across it, fading out.

HALLOWEEN HORROR NIGHTS. WHAT FEAR FEARS MOST.

Impossible on many different levels (budget, royalties, etc) but those are some of the ideas that run through my head.

LOL thats very creative, i wish uni would do a commercial like that :(

  7. I agree with you guys, TCM and Saw Game Over had some of the scariest parts.

The sheet maze is amazing, you have pretty much no clue where you're going sometimes - and he eventually gets to ya.

Another one i wanna point out is "pukey" from the NOES maze in 08.

That scared me but really only because i didnt wanna get puked on LOL

I ran past that, knowing what would happen if i was the unlucky person getting puked on

  8. I'm sticking with my usual tradition of Terror Tram to lower lot and hitting JP, Saw, The Mummy, now adding in King Kong, going up and doing NOES, then F13, Vampyre, last maze will be HOTC to cap it off nicely and then Bill and Ted's final showing.

Well my tradition is lower lot, and going up to Terror Tram, then some food, and then the simpsons!

Then Bill And Ted, and all the other mazes.

Vampyre is usually last since its next to the exit.

  9. I do remember it being there for quite awhile after HHN. But quite possibly they put it back up and maybe it won't be Jason's Crystal Lake. Maybe it'll be Chucky's version. Maybe that's what Murdy meant by they won't be on the Terror Tram because instead of those film versions, it'll be Chucky's versions of let's say Elm Street, Jigsaw's Warehouse, Crystal Lake, etc. Just a theory.

That would sound pretty awesome actually.

I'm not sure how they would do it, but imagine a Chucky-ized version of Jason.

Well actually, it might bring more laughs than screaming, but I think it would be cool :)
