  1. ^lol. by the way mike, whats ur character? :o

the reapers actually look more badass than scary :/

i think freakz can use some fog and the guy holding the iv from zombieville looks coool lol

i honestly think klownz could use some more chainsaws cause i didnt hear any o.O

  2. I just figured out why it won. Apparently one of the kids in the video, Lia Marie Johnson, is youtube famous and has a facebook like page of 30,000+ with a bunch of people on there OBSESSED with her. Apparently she does the "Kids React" videos, which also in themselves get hundreds of thousands of millions of views. Basically, it was a popularity contest and a bunch of stupid kids helped the video win. There should be a rule against promoting or something because it isn't fair against other participants who are more worthy of winning.

Ridiculous. kinda like a justin bieber popularity thing

  3. Wolfman maze idea AMAZING. Execution CRAP. Orlando did it right a few years back. Ours looks like recycled HOH crap. I was really expecting a lot more retheming. As of today (well after rehearsals) top of the stairs has a new display, empty room after spinning tunnel has xmas trees (WTF) and a few cadavers in the lab. So many scenes do not jive with the Wolfman. How can they be explained/justified? For being our only real building/"soundstage" this location disappoints every year. Just leave it what it is...HOH, stop trying to fool yourself/us.

good thing i'm thinking of going here last

  4. entrance lights look siiiick.

i'm liking the terror tram too. (looks like we're going around the bates motel this time instead of through that small hallway where traffic always gets backed up lol)

alice cooper facade looks great (obviously not as good as the other ones though)

wish i saw more of the thing though.

    fire cannons look installed

  5. ^if you head there early on, you'll definitely get some scares.

last year i went down there after F13 (many people were heading to TT and HOTC) and got down to the lower lot.

i think the CDT down there has new tactics every year cause when i went down there, all of them were just laying down.

you kinda had to zigzag around them to get into the saw maze. i made the mistake (but a fun mistake!) of walking faster and they all chased me lol.

  6. ***WARNING: HERE BE SPOILERS BELOW****

103: I liked the twist, but it was too simple. It had a PG-13 slasher type feel to it (like the Stepfather, etc.) 2/5.

Closet Monster: I didn't like this one very much, the monster didn't look too scary (don't wanna give away too many spoilers lol) and it wasn't very exciting. 2/5

Eric: One of my favorites. The monster looked very creepy (its la llorona i believe). It was intense and with the different language and subtitles, it felt very new and refreshing (although we already know the story to the monster) 4/5

Follow The Sun: This one was one of my favorites as well. It was very creative and reminded me of something out of place (like the little boy and the out-of-place music he was dancing to from Insidious). You don't see this very often so it was very fresh and creepy. 5/5

Hacked: This one was great, but it wasn't very original. I don't wanna spoil too much, but once you watch it, it seems very similar to a movie called *COUGH* Mirrors *COUGH*. It was still great though, things you expected to happen did not happen. And things you did not expect to happen, happened. lol, so at least it keeps you guessing. 4/5.

Monster in my Swimming Pool: Ehh, the title suggested it wasn't great and to me... it wasn't great. The monster didn't look scary and I didn't feel creeped out. Not much to offer, reminded me of the Closet Monster, only this time in a pool lol. 2/5

Slash in the Box: This one was alright, reminded me of hmm.... Poltergeist. I liked the effects (except for the blood), Not the best, but not the worst. 3/5

Stalled: HA! Can anyone say... Rob Zombie's Halloween? Seemed unoriginal to me but definitely better than the ones that seemed like a PG-13 slasher film. 3/5

Strangeland: WOW. Is this Apollo 17? Lol, I LOVED this one especially since Apollo 18 just came out. Kind of seems like it could have been a second commercial or trailer lol. This one is great! Nice atmosphere and everything. I think this one deserves more than a 5/5. Definitely my favorite one (but I can see why you guys may not like it). 10/5 lol, jk 5/5

The Cure: Great short film. Seemed like a mix between The Mist and a zombie film. I THINK they were going for an emotional appeal (since it involves a father and daughter) but since I'm not even 18 yet it didnt get to me lol. Was a great film though, wish the makeup looked better though. 4/5

  7. Well normally I'm there for the opening scaremonies and i'm normally near the front. So this is what I do and it works quite well for me (receiving alot of the scares bc im first, or near first)

Head to the maze in the WWW venue, exit and go down to the lower lot.

I would probably hit the maze in the JP queue (i believe its WTMN) and then take a small break in The Mummy or KingKong if its still there (the line for KingKong was awfully long last year)

Then I would hit Hostel and then here, I normally ask my friends if they would rather go JP Ride or a maze again because we normally don't go back down (too much of a hassle) (you should at least be able to hit one of the mazes twice and all the rides)

From there I would go back up and take the Terror Tram. After that I usually take a break and eat at Cinnabon. Depending on the time, I either hit Bill and Ted or The Simpsons (if Bill and Ted times arent working, id probably watch the last show)

After that I'd head to the maze in the Shrek Queue. After that I WOULD go hit HOTC but i already went there last year so i'd go HoH (Wolfman) instead. If theres time i'm planning to hit Hotc but if not then ill go straight to bill and ted

  8. 1) I'm not sure how the Eyegore Awards affect the event, the first time i went opening night, i went an hour late and everything was fine. (Opened at 6, went at 7 i believe) I DO believe that some of the houses may get held up because some celebrities may want to walk through the house alone with their group.

    2) I don't remember seeing any celebrities as the first time I attended the event was on opening night and I wasn't familiar with much of the horror industry

I'm sorry that I can't explain that much as I was dropped off, and I don't remember too much (I went 2008) lol.

Just let me tell you this, not everything is set up opening night. I remember going a second time that same month and things were different (not too much but strobe lights were added; fog was added in some scenes; etc)

  9. Camping out doesnt seem too bad because it'll be summer time lol.

Hmm, well since sliding seems like it wouldnt be a high possible option for my first year scaring.

Obviously I prefer street scaring instead of house scaring (because of the space I can use), does Uni give you your position based on how you do during auditions or no? Or will it be based on your body type, size, etc.

  10. How did you first hear of HHNH?

07 commercial with the carnival and cards.

At what point did you become interested?

Was always a horror movie fan, love the movie-to-maze creations. Feels like I'm in the movie.

When did you actually start to plan on going?

Friend invited me in 07 but was a failed attempt because none of us had a ride. 08, I decided to go with a couple of friends (ended up going twice that year with different groups of friends)

What were your expectations like? Were they exceeded or underwhelmed?

First time, I expected too much and did not like it as much (could also be because my friends weren't really into it..) and plus I went at a late time so the maze lines took FOREVER which took alot of fun out. I also went to House of Horrors (LOL) which wasted a good amount of time. The second time I went (same event; same month) was a much more memorable experience.

Did you ever think you would become a fan?

Not at all, especially after my first time going.

How did it feel when finally arriving?

Felt great, I remember my adrenaline pumping when I first entered the gates and heard the music with all the fog.

Can you remember your first scare?

Chainsaw, near the entrance lol (where WTH was last year). They were clowns I think. I ran away and into the line for HOH (while cutting some people in line on the way; sorry lol)

At what point did you know you were hooked? Was it that year or another year later?

Same year, second event. Different friends - much more memorable because we were all into it.

What did the people with you think?

First time going, they didn't like it.

Did you go again in the same year?

    Yes =D

  11. Okay, couple questions i'd like to know for the near future:

    (i'm turning this upcoming Jan)

    1) I'd love to be a slider, is there certain training i must go through BEFORE auditioning? And what is it like? I'd like to ask Heckler (from HHNVault) but i dont think hes signed up here??

    2) CAn you audition for both Knotts and HHN? Because if I get turned down by HHN, i'd love to go work for knotts, as long as i'm scaring haha
