  1. They'll probably do the same thing while waiting in line for the Terror Tram. They always have a presentation of some sort in that queue.

yea but the videos never really represent the theme of the TT. well scratch that chuckys did last year. otherwise they just through together a whole bunch of horror clips together which always works for me i enjoy watching them :P

  2. http://www.shocktillyoudrop.com/news/topnews.php?id=21077

After watching this(redband trailer) the maze just sort of jumped back to my #1 most anticipated! There is so much creepy shit we didn't get to see before, and unless John's full of crap about using all the characters then this will have some VERY VERY impressive effects. Just look at the 47 second mark... that guys a beast, and he's got that long thing coming out of his dead. There is also the dude with spidery fingers and other stuff... AWESOME!

Also Murdy said today on twitter that he was painting and adding finishing touches, but he said it was awesome. I know he sort of has to say that... but still.

    ^Are these real, Trev?

the creatures look AMAZING in this trailer. ahhhhhh i cant wait 4 more days :]

  3. i see your problem believe me i've done it every year. I always go with a group of 30 + and it is so hard keeping everyone together -_- usually on opening i go with a crowd thats on the same page as me and know whats going on but good luck with that lol. do you have a FFP ? cause you can always come back to try it again...if not its at the entrance lol so you can see it from outside the gates ahaha

  4. trust me i've been going opening night since 2006. I can guarantee almost you'll have free times on your hand to re-do a maze or 2 or explore through the scarezones. Well it all depends on the way you pace yourself. i usually do one thing after another with no breaks. i eat after im done with everything and re-do mazes i like best. Plus you'll be arriving early like me on opening night. it would be a different story if you came in around 9 or later.

  5. ugghhh count it on DTH to be such a negative nancy all the time lol no im just kidding with you :D i understand were your coming from the concept all together seems kind of skeptical to me to. A maze based on a rock star of horror ? but then again it seems interesting. Its as if the song will be telling us a story as we walk through this haunted attraction. Thats what i wanted in 2010. or any year at that hasnt done this. To tell a story throughout the process and the way i view it is a cool idea. If i havent already said it enough i knew nothing of this Alice Cooper before it was announced. Not sure what kind of horror hes know for...corny ? gory ? humor ? so this will all be a surprise to me. I'll save my judgement for after the maze though. And its HHN so i know were gonna see some cool stuff throughout the maze and if im wrong and it totally bombs (knocks on wood) than hey thats that

  6. Unfortunately, I probably won't be seeing this SZ this year :( Since I'll be arriving early to see opening scaramonies and then attending the last showing of Bill and Ted, I'll never have a reason to venture back over there. Boo :(

honestly even with 6 mazes and a TT you'll probably finish early with enough time to stop back on by before the last show of bill and ted. since your arriving early you'll get through all the mazes with little to no wait time.

  7. I have no desire to check up on construction in person. Westcoaster, Mice Chat and now the Saw Twins cover that pretty well for me haha

lol my exact thinking here. But i wont lie it use to be fun walking around universal and seeing the Halloween decorations put up and all. It always got me hyped for HHN. wait isn't preview night tomorrow 0.o so that should mean construction is FINALLY FINISHED !!

  8. \what happened to my post 0.o ??? ughhh i guess ill rewrite it hold up guys. i was just commenting on a few things mike murder mentioned.

    1) "HoH overlays are always kind of lame. It would be nice if they surprised us this year and really went all out (and it does sound as if they are upping the ante from years past) but it's honestly not really worth getting your hopes up. Even the most badass HoH overlay is still an overlay."

-Sure there just overlays but i wouldnt call them lame. I personally think that year by year they have gotten better at improving and amping the scares. Chuckys overlay and the vamprye overlay last year were good to me.

2)"The werewolf stilt gag that they used at the conclusion to Van Helsing was super rad and totally scary. I know it doesn't fit The Wolfman look but they shodul bring something like this back as it was one of the best monsters ever featured in a Uni maze."

-yea i think i mentioned this a few post ago. This would be a perfect ending for the wolfman maze but the wolf looks nothing like the wolfman lol

3)" I personally like it better when the theme is either a little more vague. Last year's Vamyr was a perfect example. That way those of us that know the HoH still experience an overlay but people coming through for the first time aren't as confused when a theme-killing room comes along. It would have been kinda cool to just do a "Curse of the Full Moon" type theme where a buttload of werewolves have taken over the HoH instead of the more specifically themed movie deal."

    - Good idea. or even better it would be cool if they used multiple themes in the HoH like if they transfered chuckys room into a room from dead silence. Oh wait murdy said that the studios dont like the mixing of properties :/

4)" Speaking of that, I'm not even really sure why they are doing anything based on a pretty weak remake that did horribly both critically and commercially when it came out over a year ago. I understand that for whatever reason some people on this site are huge fans of it but the remake was forgettable and totally lackluster. Visually it was pretty nice and there was some good gore but overall it didn't make much of an impression. And CG wold transformation FX are bullshit. No way around it."

    - actually i think it was 2 years ago :P but i agree with you the movie sucked horribly to me no hard feeling for the wolfman fans on here. Which is why im glad murdy through it into the HoH than wasting a whole maze on it. None the less i think it has GREAT potential in being a good HoH overlay. Plus we already have a scene from wolfman in there so it fits nicely. although like you mentioned earlier it would of been better if they did a more central theme based on wolfs than just the wolfman. I know freak has wanted a maze for a while so its good to see his dreams come true.

5)"You should definitely do this maze last. Not for any reason other than the fact that most people (that have either never been to HHN before or just don't appritiate the finer points of theme park strategum) head for the first maze they see when the event opens and the lines for HoH near the end of the night are almost non-exsistant. This is good because I would never stand in any sort of line for an overlay. It also puts you in prime position for picking up some last minute merch and witnessing the chainsaw chase-out. Boom. "

thats usually what i do but considering we have a repeat maze this year ill be saving this before i re-do HOTC

  9. ^^the only years i wasnt pumped for HHN was 2008 and 2010....both repeat years lol so the facade for this turned out well. Wouldnt say its the best of this years but they did a good job with it IMO. out of all the mazes this is the one i feel like i dont know what im walking into so i'll know ill be surprised . Sure i know the overall concept of it but this one seems the most original to me. I cant wait to see how it turns out. imma set my standards low only so they can be exceeded.

  10. what will even be our reason for getting sprayed this year involving ghostface ? would it be used to represent a blood splatter ? thats all i can really think of. its funny because the burned tram dummy joke at the end of the tunnel only works for people in the 2nd cart and down. people in the front must be just looking at the guide like ----> -_______-

  11. Welcome aboard HHN3D.

I've grown to accept the entrance as a throwaway SZ, not sure why they don't do more with it, but it's the way I've always remembered it. You can't clutter it up TOO much with props on the ground because John Murdy is madly in love with his chainsaw chase out ("deadliest show on earth") and too many props would interfere with that, but I don't see why they don't put a little more effort into dressing the buildings.

thats all i really look forward to...descent decorations. With the opening ceremony usually taking place on new york street i skip over it anyways til the end of the night so its not a big problem for me

  12. not to bulk my head up but im sure i was the one saying to give hostel a chance  while mostly everyone else claimed it was going to be nothing but a repeat of saw. Im glad to see its receiving more positive feedback now. i was actually thinking of doing this first and than alice cooper or should it be vice versa

  13. I'm actually glad to see how they're adding some things in there, unlike the "overlay" last year. I'm sure it won't be perfect, but I can't wait for this maze regardless. They are making a descent attempt to make it feel different and that's good enough for me in my book.

i agree i'm glad to see at least there putting a effort in here to make it as good as possible. it's better than us getting 4 new mazes,a repeat and regular HoH. it would feel out of place if they reused the same theme for hoh. We all know we have theme killer rooms throughout the HoH so lets give murdy and his team credit for doing there best to work around it. ill have to agree with freak i cant wait for this maze either and im not even a wolfman fan BUT hoh overlay or not it still has a chance of being a good maze. It might not be up to standard with orlandos version but i know this maze will have some potential in it.

  14. im expecting the scares and strobe effects to be like lunaticz last year which i felt did good. And there was soooo much fog in this SZ last year i couldnt see what was in front of me lol that would be cool if they could operate with the props more like jumping out of trucks etc. but that could be a safety problem
