  1. i had high expectations for this maze and let me tell you this one exceeded them ! Great maze and concept overall. At first i was skeptical of this maze but after opening night i'll let everyone know you have nothing to fear. The SA's did very well to me i enjoyed every inch of this maze. If they can make a AWESOME maze out of this i wonder what other concepts they can utilize .

  2. This definitively made up for the epic fail the SZ brought upon us last year,. The layout was AMAZING ! The only thing that drug this maze down a bit were the SA's. Some were energetic and than we had some that were kind of lacking energy. There were huge rooms that made the maze feel bigger than it already was. I LOVED the stilt walkers in this maze :) This truly did give HHN a "creepy haunted" feeling. I noticed everyone ran to this first so i recommend getting there quickly before the lines get out of control. Awesome maze overall in terms of sets, atmosphere in all. Just the SA's need a little bit more energy :D

  3. you know til after last night i didnt notice the voice of sir hopkins narrating throughout the maze. Also the strobe effects in the frankenstein lab impaired my visions as we walked through. I even got one scare this time around so it got a little better from opening night. i guess it just all depends on when you go

  4. ill have to agree with everyone. I had high expectations going through this maze and after i came out i was disappointed. i guess i set my expectations to high :/ Well basically the #1 room i was looking forward to was the pitch black room and that was a let down. To me it was "dark" but i was still able to see what was clearly going on. Yes it built up the anticpation but did they really waste a whole hallway without at least one SA in there ? Speaking of SA's there were hardly any in there. Most of the scares were based on effects and puppeteers. There were huge gaps of rooms we would walk through and nothing would be happening. And i expected this maze to be extremely cold. But when i walked through it was regular room tempature. This maze didnt impress me enough to convince me to stand in a 60min line last night and go again. The sets and costumes etc. were amazing though. I dont know this maze was just a let down personally for me. On my next trip ill make sure to re-do it and see if im reconvinced but as of now ill give it a 6/10 for effort. like ScreamAtMe said " it wasn't bad, but it wasn't quite on par with my expectations " ugh hopefully more SA's will be thrown in there to fix up those empty gaps of spaces.

  5. I think the 4 fake films was a good way to keep the overall theme on track. Of course to no surprise zombies were in the WOTW sets. Also the fence maze was a good add and replacement for the sheet mazes. Would of been good if they could of done both. Yes though it was a ghostface overload he was everywhere !! What i also liked it i got the same trams speaker as the one who got killed in the video after the TT it was pretty neat.

  6. ^^^ lol i thought i was the only one that noticed it 0.o They were hardly even present. The cast did a amazing job though ! They had the two things i wanted to see most ( the hangover 2 and rebecca black) be made fun of . so i cant say it was a bad show. I also liked how they showed a bunch of videos to keep you entertained before the shows started.

  7. I think we should all chip in $5 each for a RIP ticket for DTH. He might enjoy the event better through the bottom of a beer glass. Anyone game?

LMFAO ahahahaah that wouldnt be to much of a bad idea :P you got my donation lol

bottom line is Wolfman is NOT a repeat. Are you saying we've had it in the past 6 years because i must of skipped over it  When "I" say repeat its in a way as we've already done it ! like freddy, jason etc. The characters are completely different from the regular daytime hours although the layout will always be the same. So basically chucky, vampyr etc. were all repeats ?

  8. you can say that again guys the wait times all together are killing the expperience and the scares because i always get the backhand of it. However, surprisingly enough i enjoyed this maze better than i did last year. The 3D was wayyyy better to me and i actually noticed alot of it this time around. I even got scared a few times . So IMO this time around was better. And am i going crazy or did the remove the final scare room out of the maze ? idk im going tonight again so ill pay close attention to it :D

  9. definitively not one of our best TT. The videos were ok but the TT didnt do well as a whole. Well the 4 fake films helped to tie in with the different enviroments it was in but i got absolutely no scares or half of one at that. What a major let down :( Oh and good sakes we skipped the mummy tunnel at the end and went straight to the station.

  10. Well i definitively prepared for the worst. It was exactly what we thought it would be. A FAIL ! or just a simple hoh overlay with extra wolfman. Some of the characters were rather random , i didnt get scared once and the theme killer rooms just killed everything as suspected. They put no effort in changing up the mummy area or chuckys room. I think this was actually worst than previous HoH overlays. To me IMO chucky still holds the title as the best HoH overlay. I'm not trying to crush anyones spirit on this but i dont want anyone to get there hopes up to high. sighs* theres always next year. To me didnt look like much time was put into it.

  11. Well i just got back from opening night and let me tell you...IT IS A GOOD YEAR. however there was one thing that kind of annoyed me all night but thats out of universals hands. I've never seen so many people at opening night out of all days. It was sooooooo crowded :/ im use to it being kind of empty the first day. Im glad universal has grown alot with the fans but man did those lines get long FAST !. there is no longer a game plan you can device to get through everything quick as possibly. The first 2 mazes i went through which were hostel and WTMN went through quickly but the rest were rather long waits. ill be posting my reviews on everything separately in their threads.

  12. for any year , the scarezone on the lower lot always have a disadvantage over the others because of the lacks of details and decorations. A few props wouldnt hurt down there if they could do it in 2007 they can surely do it now. We can only wait to see for ourselves tomorrow. You know what they say... "Hope for the best but prepare for the worst."

  13. Well guys tomorrow is the big day that we been waiting for all year !! :) We've come along way from speculating and need i say we did a GREAT job guessing all the properties this year. (pats everyone on the back) The anticipation is killing me. I know HHN will not disappointment. I'm just ready to see how everything is put together. I'm going in with positive vibes on everything...well at least til i experience it hands on :D I hope everyone has a good time and enjoys themselves because i know i will. I wont be posting tomorrow because i'll be going straight up there but i will make sure to give my reviews come saturday on everything. Well Happy Halloween Halloween Haunts to everyone i bid you fair well. See you all there !!! :)

  14. Saw a clip from Reapers in a vid from EP, and I am not impressed. But I'll reserve the rest of my judgement for opening night. It just sucks that we got a taste of some amazing dressing on the lower lot in 07, and then it never returns.

same thoughts here. After seeing the video i wasnt to impressed by the costumes or the SZ. well the costumes looked descent but im really upset to that after 2007 they no longer decorated the lower lot. Its like they took 1 step forward and 2 steps back. We upgraded and than downgraded. Hopefully in the upcoming years the lower lot will receive more love
