  1. Based on the Burger King Picture of our icon I am lead to believe that the character may be played by Angela Myers (spelling?) at some point. She kinda looks like her. Another part of me thinks that she'll be too busy with the event to do something like that.

  2. Just wanted to say that I had a blast working with this cast. I made a ton of new friends, reunited with some old friends and even a friend that Ive know since kindergarten was put in the same room as me.. It was one of the first drama free events Ive worked in a while and I'd like to thank everyone involved, from the staff to the die hard fans here on the boards. Thanks guys. see you next year.

  3. Psychoscareapy, just before 10:00 - this house is rapidly rising on my list of favorite houses. I did want to send an apology out, though. About halfway through, where the doors are, an actor came out from the left to stare me down. I thought I recognized him from photos here on the board, and so I did a double take, and couldn't think of what to say, so I finally pointed and said "Nightmares!" Unfortunately, he was also setting me up for a double scare with the actor to the right (behind me), and I sort of blew that. I really wasn't trying to be a dou**e, I just don't usually think I recognize someone and kind of froze up. Sorry, and thanks for the scare!

Was it the hallway right after the jail cells with the hands or was it the hallway just after that? i guess they're both technically hallways but one is a lot longer than the other.

  4. I had to just chime in here with my two cents because I am a former OPS team member and I feel the need to do this every year...to clarify a few things. Now, I know that the good majority of you out there deem the presence of the OPS team members unnecessary. Well, tell me exactly how the houses would run without them? Who do you think sets up/breaks down that queue every day of the event? Or who cleans up all of the nastiness at the end of the evening? (and coming from someone who cleaned up pretty much every bodily fluid that could come out of a person; it's no easy task). Do you think that the scare actors are the only people that take the physical/verbal abuse during the event? Nope. The operations team members that blend in with the surroundings of the house because they wear all black, have to..(and yes, they need a lot of different "safety" people through out the house because there are so many potential things that could go wrong so Universal is covering their own ass). Wouldn't that be a little silly to have the ones that are working the queue in the bright orange shirts, inside the houses? Universal Wardrobe makes those decisions; not the operations team. Team members only do what is instructed to them by their supervisors and the reason they are told to keep the line moving through the house is because the "higher ups" want to see those high numbers of people being pushed through, hour by hour. Every hour on the hour the team leaders have to call in and report that number and if it's not up to the goal that's been set for that hour, they are instructed to tell their team members to get it going. While, I understand what some of you are saying because let's face it, no team member is 100% perfect, and there are bad, or lazy ones sometimes, there HAS to be operations team members, otherwise the houses wouldn't run. It's as simple as that. Everything that doesn't involve scaring, is taken care of by operations so think about that. I know that it may be frustrating the way things are done sometimes, and you may not understand it but REALLY think about all the work that those people have to do before you bitch.

...and as for the issue with the Express Line for the "Hallow'd Past"; the way that the regular queue is set up, and given the tight space as it is, there would be no other place for the Express line to go...that's it.

I don't think anyone here has any real disrespect for the ops team. I've been a scareactor for 5 years now and the ops team has helped me out in times of need but at the same time you do get those ops team members that like to guide people with their flashlight and shine it on you right before a scare. Or the ops guy that use to take naps in my room in frankenstein last year. The point is, i don't think the events possible without ops but I do have to agree that their presence is a little too much sometimes. I think you might feel the same if you worked as a scaractor (if you have I'm sorry) I appreciate you guys having to do what you gotta do, especially after someone had to clean pee in my room twice last year but there is no reason to express our concerns as bitching and don't take things so personal... we do love you guys.

so this may be way out there but one of the shapes in that image looks like a scythe. I'm thinking Charon and the river of Styx. As far as i can remember he's portrayed a lot of the time with a scythe or a lantern. I remember someone mentioning this idea before but the whole lantern thing makes me think it's him even more. I'm thinking maybe it's a picture of his head or something. What better an icon then someone like Charon leading us into the under world.

  6. If we didn't know what we already knew( the whole probability of there not being a movie house this year) I'd say uni is trying to throw us off by making us think that jaws is Freddy (burned people, nightmare man etc.), 22 is Jason( hockey mask) , and in some bizarre way disaster being leather face( I can see leather face in a garage type setting). I'd like to hope this is not the case. I must say, they're doing a great job keeping this event air tight this year. . I've never been this confused so close to the event.

  7. If memory serves, I seem to remember Run being more along the lines oof a mixture between the Hostile movies and the saw movies, more toward the hostile side though. I didn't rerally get a carnival theme from it at all.

You're way off. Run: Hostile Territory was based off of movies such as saw and Hostile. Mostly Hostile as the story for the house was rich men would come to pay for the ability to torture people. In 2006 I can't recall any house that had a "Game" feel to it.

i remember run: hostile territory being exactly like hostel, no carnival in there lol

Well now that that's cleared up. haha. Doesn't anyone read befpre they post?

  8. I have thought that since I heard about the facade and the position that have been reported for that house. One of them was a Carnie, and if I remember correctly, RUN: Hostile Territory from 2006 had a very carnival theme. The scareactors in the house would ask if you would like to play their "games". These "games" did look like you were at a carnival.

Am I remembering correctly or am I wrong?

  9. Well I think we can cast votes on what we think this will be, but no necessarily rule out a Halloween house. I mean I know Hollywood used him last year and I haven't heard about any big contractual disputes over using Meyers. Just as with the NLC characters they were used in Hollywood after here, maybe we get a piece of Meyers?? And this could be coming to mind just beacause I would LOVE to see Michael get his own house here, he only got a portion of a house in 13, not enough due respect for one of the leaders of the slasher era!

Don't forget his random appearance in Where evil hides in 2005. He wasn't exactly advertized as being the big man himself, in fact they airbrushed the terra cruentas symbol in the middle of his fore head probably to avoid a lawsuit. The house definately didn't do him justice.
