I think Jack being in the event year after year would appease the fanboys since he was originally an HHN guy. Does that make sense?
I just dont think there would be half the bitching if Jack/Caretaker/Story Teller, etc were coming back compared to TWD.
I for one cant wait for this event. It could be the worst event ever put on by HHN and it would still be a blast!
They have done it like 2 times in the last five years, the most recent yeat being 2010, and if i recalled, the belly achin, and crying didn't stop. Even though you got your old icons, a new icon, all original houses, and STILL the "hardcore fans" where not happy.

Who was complaining... me. Check the boards I've hated Jack since 2001.I don't like stale ideas. Jack was stale by 2006. But I'd take him over TWD anyday. That's my personal opinion.But it's no conspiracy to think that NBC will ride the gravy train of TWD until it's no longer popular.. even then a few years after.I fully expect TWD back next year. I mean I hope not. Apparently many people are happy with that... to each his own.
Do you blame them for riding that gravy train? I don't.

But hhn is not only for the fringe "hardcore fan", it's for EVERYONE. Matter of fact you said the key word here, mainstream, nuff said. So what you're saying is that it's about fanboyism, since you dont mind having Jack every year.

There's no math to do, TWD is hot now and they plan on capitalizing. Where were all the cries and belly aches when universal was imposing jack on us every other year? There wont be a Walking Dead takeover of hhn, or black helicopters, etc etc. Relax folks.

Whatever they're planning for that maze is certainly sealed shut to most of us. Alot of speculation but that's where it ends.

I'm sure you guys will be awesome this year as you guys been in the past. I for one am uber excited about this year, and excited to see what they do with the streets, and second go around of TWD.I know a lot of you are upset about TWD, as I am more disappointed than anything. But if you don't have faith in the concept, at least have hope and trust for those who will actually be scaring you. As a scareactor, I can speak for myself, I will do the best I can to give you all the best experience possible with what we're given. I know there is more than just me that has the same motives, so just let us take care of it! -
Anyone with common sense knows to just enjoy dr Jimmy's April fools videos. Don't tell me some of you are expecting a JAWS house. Lineup has been officially set, just go back and read the update post at the beggining of the thread.

Aparently not bad enough when they just released the house again and street experiences based on twd. Could be a universal conspiring against you, just never know. The truth is out there.

Ok, I didn't wanna do it but looks like I don't have a choice. Time to put the boards back on suicide watch, took long enough lol. And this is without ONE set piece put on the ground yet, and it's still July. I am genuinly concerned this year :-p As for me, im freaggin EXCITED and hope to see the governors torcher chamber first hand. Relax folks, it's not the end of the world.

As far as shows go, anything that eats the crowd is fine by me. I don't care if it's RHPS or not. I watched Penny once last year and it was fairly forgettable, but 2 shows and an actual lagoon show with showtimes could make a difference in crowds.Don'forget Transformers, i'm sure that will pull a healthy dose of crowds as well. Opening night of Screamhouse: Resurrection had Caretaker minions asking guess if they had seen Cindy (Caine) but the reference was lost and later dropped.
