  1. I'm not sure where to start here. -The backlot experience may have captured your attention, but anybody has yet to experience it. I really don't see how it will be different than Orlando having the walker area being where it was last year. Hollywood is different where they don't have their big city street sets in the park so it's new for them, not for Orlando. -Hollywood only really has 5 houses and no I don't include House of Horrors which is a permanent attraction that gets only slightly redressed for HHN. That's 5 vs 8 houses. -Hollywood carries over houses every year or simply rethemes a house as a different house. E.g. The Asylum turning into Nightmare on Elm Street. -Same with Scarezones. Klownz anyone? At least this year it's French clowns I guess... -Hollywood makes almost exclusive use of IPs. -Aside from IPs, El Cucuy will be their 4th original house since they relaunched in 2006. -Orlando has 23 years of experience. I do agree that Hollywood is getting better as time goes by, but I still don't think they're anywhere close to each other. Maybe go profess your love to the Hollywood forums?
    Right on brother.
  2. The first RE to me was the weakest, RE 2 is the one that actually started the legacy as we know it, 5 and 6 are good but steer away from what made RE what we love, survival horror. I've been hearing that they're bringing RE back to survival horror so i'll keep my fingers crossed on that one. By the way, looks like the 29th is back for the final reveal.

  3. Mazes like La Llorona and El Cucuy make a lot of sense here in Los Angeles as our demographic is heavily Hispanic. I was surprised to find out that Orlando was getting a La Llorona house, but then again I'm not very familiar with the demographic in Orlando. If the maze does migrate to Orlando, I also can see them going with a generalized Boogeyman house and not one specifically based on the El Cucuy legend.
I can specifically see a house based on el cucui or as our grandparents would call it in Puerto Rico El Cuco, it could work here. I see Danny Trejo is doing el cucui's voice on the hollywood side, awesome.
  4. there wont be a reveal on the 29th they got rid of that date on the last post becuase it was a error on there social marketing side
Big deal, it might be the 27th or the 30th, people are taking this waaaay to seriously it almost worries me. Besides, i'm looking at hhn orlando's wall, and see a post that says there will be 4 houses revealed, not 5 on reveal week. Enjoy the joys of life and you'll see that opening weekend will be here before you know it. Complaining and crying wont change a thing.

  5. HHN has been using subtitles for years. For example: 2006: Scream House: Resurrection All Nite Die-In: Take 2 Psychoscareapy: Maximum Madness Dungeon of Terror: RetoldThe People Under the Stairs: Under ConstructionPsycho Path: The Return of Norman Bates Run: Hostile Territory 2007: Jack's Funhouse in Clown-O-VisionA Nightmare on Elm Street: DreamwalkersFriday the 13th: Camp BloodThe Texas Chainsaw Massacre: Flesh WoundsDead Silence: The Curse of Mary Shaw PsychoScareapy: Home for the HolidaysThe Thing: Assimilation Vampyr: Blood Bath 2010: Horror Nights: The Hallow'd Past Catacombs: Black Death Rising Havoc: Dogs of War The Orfanage: Ashes to Ashes ZombieGeddon Hades: The Gates of Ruin PsychoScareapy: Echoes of Shadybrook Legendary Truth: The Wyandot Estate That's three events (which were pretty great by most accounts) where almost every house was subtitled. Yeah the Urban Legends pre fix is kinda bleh but Florida has much more of a Cuban than Mexican Latino population so most guests might need some help understanding that La Llorona is the Mexican Bloody Mary
Miami is not the entire state of fl my friend, keep in mind there's also a large puerto rican population in central florida as well. For years they have watched mexican imports, plus Univision and Telemundo among other channels offer their share of mexican programing for ages. You don't have to be mexican to know who La Llorona is. Just thought i would clear that point up for you.
  6. Now there's people on facebook hoping for a House of 1000 Corpses house. Sorry to post this but it's entertaining as hell lol.

I dont know why but i feel that: Evil Dead, Walking Dead and Insidious its a better combo than Cabin in the woods mostly because Insidious will be hot in October, also Paranormal houses can be really scary. On other side CITW can be anything really... PS. Resident Evil is such a SH leftover....
Insidious is going to be much like last year's Dead End. So smart not to go with it.
