Okay, I voted Resident Evil for the games since I LOVE the games and I think the environments and overall feel would be better to capture and a lot creepier, along with more recognizable characters.

Scream, because it must be redeemed.

Trick 'r Treat, Evil Dead & The Exorcist because, well, duh

Paranormal Activity because I'd be very interested to see how they could pull it off

And then TCM and Halloween repeats because those are my two favorites of all time!

I'm huge advocate that the Terror Tram should be the story of the event.

I also think it's placement is fine, it just needs the story elements to help push the environments to where it needs to be but adding some new sets wouldn't hurt.

I'd like to see a nice half and half of original mazes and property mazes.

And WAY more shows to eat up more crowds so that the lines won't be so long anymore and it can be more like KSF and you can casually go maze to maze without worrying if you can do everything.

Once the shows are put in and the crowd issue is fixed, then I'd like to go back and think about more mazes but I think 6, for the crowd level we have now, is enough.

At first I was wondering why Hellraiser was not on there, then I looked up the upcoming remake on IMDB and realized that it's still up in there air in terms of its release date. It's a shame that this movie can't just come out so we can get an amazing haunted house out of it. Imagine the special effects, puppetry, and the rooms they could use; it's probably better that they wait a few more years until the reboot comes out so that the budget will allow it to be used for it's fullest potential.

On the survey, I have voted for Silent Hill, TCM, Trick r Treat, and Evil Dead and the Army of Darkness. I would lave to see Murdy do a Silent Hill house because it has so many frightening characters that would be very intimidating to see live. It's got Robbie the Rabbit, the undead nurses, other creatures that can be pulled off by puppeteering - oh, let's not forget about Pyramid Head! I can only imagine how amazing such a stilt-walker actor would look. Plus, it's got stunning environments like the snowy storefronts, the old buildings, and the underground area with those things. The house could be based on the movie since Murdy just doesn't seem to want to do one based on a video game. The only thing that worries me about this is the cold factor for the snowy scenes and how many blank walls it could possibly have. After seeing the Thing (I loved that house don't get me wrong), I just wonder if they'll be able to pull it off effectively.

I would love to see Texas Chainsaw Massacre since I have never seen in in person. I have heard wonders about that house and still live with the regret that I never went to "Canival of Carnage" or "Live Your Worst Nightmare!" to see it. It would be cool to see it based on the original movie and see what new frighting and gruesome elements they could have in there. This takes my vote as the only repeat I wouldn't mind having.

I also voted for Evil Dead and the Army of Darkness since it also has the deadites, the diverse environments (The cabin, the woods, and the graveyard and castle from AoD), and the effects that would make it such an awesome haunted house. I have always wanted to see Universal do a medieval-themed so this would be the opportunity for them to do one. Hopefully John will be able to get the rights to this one.

Finally, I had to vote for Trick 'r Treat. It's got everything a house should have and also has the potential of being a more "fun/scary house" like Alice Cooper was. This would be nice for it to finally come to fruition.

Surprisingly, I actually didn't vote for Scream. I'm kind of over it now. I love the movies but I'm just sort of "meh" on the whole concept of it being turned into a house. The only scene worth being recreated in my eyes would be the garage door scene. As for everything else, then they may as well have a Rob Zombies Halloween house.

Now let me get into the Terror Tram. Here are my thoughts on it in two words: "it's old". Just because it's tired-out does not mean that I want it to go down in history and be replaced with a seventh house. I would love to see it moved to Old Mexico, Six-Points, or Little Europe as it would create so much creative potential for it. With the trail they have now, they don't have much to work with. Any new experiences they seem to add there, management hates it and gets rid of it (Ahem, the sheet maze). Whatever the case, I really don't want Universal to get rid of it as it's the one big attraction that makes us unique from all the rest. We get to actually set foot on the Universal backlot and get scared. This is big! If you're going to do this, then treat it like it's the staple attraction! Relocate it or shorten the path to add some stuff on the existing trail to make it feel new. It can be done! They just need to be creative with the budget management gives creative.

I really want Universal to have some more original theming for the houses. I think La Llorona is probably the best house Hollywood has ever done with it's environments, details, top-notch scares, and disturbing material. I hope they really expand their horizons with this and allow a nice balance between movies and originals. Like someone said, do half-and-half.

I really want the event to stick with a central theme again. I'm tired of this whole mixture nonsense. It would be nice to have the scarezones and Terror Tram at least somewhat fit in with the theme. It doesn't have to be completely revolved around it, just have some distinct relation to it. What they could have done was have the tagline "What's Your Favorite Scary Movie?" and have a couple of roaming Ghostface scareactors to pretend that the killer is on the loose...actually, that's sort of what they are doing now after the Terror Tram is closed. I hope this is something Murdy will take into consideration.

yeah I originaly put Hellraiser in there but remember Murdy said the probability of a HR maze completelyt depends on a remake.

ok I voted for TrT obviously since Ive been trying for three years to push it and every year we get closer to our goal, Paranormal activity since now that there is 3 movies a maze can be produced borrow some efffect Idea from Orlando's Legendary Truth house, and that feather ninja trick it can be pulled off, Resident Evil or Shaun of The Dead cuz face it we need a full fledge Zombie maze, and 30 Days of night and silent hill

Would HHN ever consider to create a maze based out of The Grudge or The Ring? I think both of the those movies would be very interesting to see as mazes. :)

Screw the Grudge. Knott's has already done it. How about the GRUNGE! Starring Kurt Kobain, the infamous grunge star has been haunted by an evil spirit that has eventually driven him to suicide. THAT would be a better house!

I've watched videos of the Grudge maze and it looks like it was probably one of the best mazes Knotts has ever done. Reading reviews, many people believe the same thing and I think it also won maze of the year on the Haunt fan websites. I remember wanting to go in that maze so badly but the line was all the way out by the freakin' log ride and it's located across from Jaguar - _ -. I regret not waiting in that line so much to this day... I think the year it returned, 07, was the one year I missed Knotts because of relationship problems, which led to me attending my one and only Haunt alone that year... my first time at HHN :). I also think Beowulf was that year but I don't think I missed anything great there, from the videos I've seen (thank God for TPA).

I'd LOVE to see what HHN could do with it. However, I'd rather see The Ring because that's a much scarier film, to me. Imagine a popping open closet scene.... *shivers*

I'm imagining a woodsy scene and everything is normal and then STROBE LIGHTS GO OFF with 4 or so deer on a wheel like contraption that makes them look like they're galloping towards you and in a herd. It'd be so ridiculous but the perfect way to pay homage to the most infamous scene in The Ring 2... I mean... TwO.

OK. After thinking about it, I am a little harsh when it comes to Knott's Scary Farm and their mazes... maybe even a little biased. But I've been going to Knott's for the past six years and I thought no other event could beat it, but then I decided to attend HHN 2008. By '09 I decided to give up on Knott's altogether b/c I realized that while Knott's had the quantity (13 mazes), HHN had the quality that Knott's will never live up to. Uni has what Knott's will never have: amazing costumes, mind-blowing mazes, movie-quality props, and an awesome cast of scareactors.

IMO Knott's should stop making movie-based mazes and stick to original ideas. "Hatchet High," "13 Axe Murder Manor," and "The Asylum" (2006 edition) scared the living hell out of me when I went there so they should make more mazes like those. :)

As for the Grudge maze, I remembered that it wasn't too scary, and I believe that if HHN would ever make their own version it would be 10x better than what Knott's made, just sayin'.

BTW, wasn't the Grudge maze in Knott's based solely on the "Grudge 2"? b/c when I went there, I remembered the facade of the Saeki house being the burnt.

It was called The Grudge 2 but based on the first Grudge.

I actually LOVED Quarantine both years. Perhaps Uni could've done it much better but heck, Knotts did a great job anyway for what it was.

I think Knotts should continue their movie houses and do some of the films Uni is too damn stubborn to do (Trick R Treat, for example, could probably be an amazing Knotts maze).

And I know how you feel about the transfer from Knotts to Uni.

I went to Knotts for 7 years before going to Uni and it was clear - - Uni was by far the superior Haunt and it was only a year old at that point, post-hiatus.

I even felt like I was having an affair at one point because my love for Knotts was so strong.

In 08, I finally got a "divorce" from Haunt and tied the knot with Uni... but every now and then, I visit her for a little old time's sake...

Luckily, Uni doesn't mind ;)

Reverse PA to the Shrek and Scream in the WWW arena and I'm on board with you.

I have a feeling PA won't be done next year though, depending on the action that happens in PA3 as I hear it's mostly the same stuff.

I think by the time PA4 hits though, Murdy will probably see some potential with enough material and maybe cross promote with PA5 (that's if fans are still gobbling this stuff up by than).

And as much as I want Scream, I don't think it'll happen either due to the rights issue but maybe Murdy might bend over backwards to get them and fight for it since TT was such a failure this year.

What I'd love to see is...

TCM

Halloween

Scream

TrT

2 original mazes

But we'll probably get...

TCM based off the new 3D movie

Halloween based off of RZs films

Scream in the HoH

TrT

Alice Cooper repeat

1 original maze

I only say scream in shrek since they use the shrek preshow area as the last scare with Henery Warden and Freddy poping out of the curtains and it wouldnt work with PA

I can come up a few good ways a PA could work with only the first 2 and from just seeing the trailers for 3
