Freak
Post any reviews regarding the experience of Lawrance Talbot and his cursed manor. Was this overlay a howling good time or will the awfulness of it bare a mark on you? "You've done terrible things, Lawrance. Very terrible things." Freak
I got to talk to Sam and he said that Wolfman was actually really good. I like what I just heard.
Trevler
Little correcting nitpick! The quote is "You've done terrible things, Lawrence." Since its Sir John Talbot talking to his son. Edited September 22, 2011 by Trevler
HorrorNights93
I got to talk to Sam and he said that Wolfman was actually really good. I like what I just heard. dth said on another thread "it was what we feared it would be" that kind of was a let down to me but hearing this just shows i can't trust anyones judgement but my own. I hope its as good as he says it was
Trevler
DTH has not been through it yet, so I don't know how he can make that statement.
Matador
I went to the preview on Tuesday, and it was my least favorite one. There were so many random characters who I felt had nothing to do with the Wolfman story. There were several male actors with some kind of random mask on with shaker cans, and very few female actors who I guess were supposed to be victims?. They didn't bother to cover up the Chucky dolls... there was a strobe or lightning effect going on (?) and you could clearly see the doll display :'(. I wasn't impressed with the Wolfman costume, and there were several Wolfmen towards the end. I was, however, startled by what I thought was a guest trying to push his way to the back, but it was really Lawrence... (I think, I hope so). I wasn't feeling this maze. (Maybe it's because I did this maze after coming back from the lower lot and experiencing the awesomeness that was Alice... and Hostel!). I felt that it was poorly themed, random scare actors that had nothing to do with the film or story, but I could be wrong because I haven't seen the film in years!! DTH316
It wasn't my opinion, I was relaying information from a consensus of what people were saying, just to clarify! (And the review above solidifies that claim!)
falcons5
Not much to say about this one. Basic HOH with a few extra Wolfman characters. Other characters were thrown in as well which didn't make sense. The Chucky room threw me out of what little theme it had going for it. There was no line so I decided to go through it before we left. Not worth any wait. Would have liked to see this get it's own maze. I'm curious to see what they could have done with it.
HorrorNights93
Well i definitively prepared for the worst. It was exactly what we thought it would be. A FAIL ! or just a simple hoh overlay with extra wolfman. Some of the characters were rather random , i didnt get scared once and the theme killer rooms just killed everything as suspected. They put no effort in changing up the mummy area or chuckys room. I think this was actually worst than previous HoH overlays. To me IMO chucky still holds the title as the best HoH overlay. I'm not trying to crush anyones spirit on this but i dont want anyone to get there hopes up to high. sighs* theres always next year. To me didnt look like much time was put into it. DTH316
^ Pretty much what the last two said although I got some scares but gosh dammit, it's like they didn't even try to make it The Wolfman.
HorrorNights93
i had actually set my expectations low for this which was a good thing because i had already suspected it and wasnt to disappointed
ScreamAtMe
This wasn't a disappointment, in that it was disappointing, and I expected that, so I wasn't disappointed by my disappointment. Design : Felt a bit lazy, as they didn't do much to cover us the usual that's always there, and I found myself trying to figure out how advertisements for candy vending machines fit into Talbot Hall. Was nice having the voice of Sir Hopkins narrating the entire maze, but other than that, not a lot to it. Wolfman costumes were the one major bright spot. 2/5 Scareactors : I feel for the SAs stuck in this maze, because they were trying, oh so hard, but they didn't have much to work with. Their scares were a little weak, but not for lack of trying, just lack of design. As scareactors, they were great...as parts of scares, fell flat. 4/5 Length : Same as it ever was. 4/5 Other : Appreciated the mildly successful attempt to cover up in frankensteins lab, and the blacklight paintings in the spinning room were very cool. 3/5 Overall : 6th on my list. Saved it for last for a reason, and almost forgot about, but wouldn't have been too let down if I had. The effort was there, unfortunately HoH just doesn't lend itself well to anything but HoH. HorrorNights93
you know til after last night i didnt notice the voice of sir hopkins narrating throughout the maze. Also the strobe effects in the frankenstein lab impaired my visions as we walked through. I even got one scare this time around so it got a little better from opening night. i guess it just all depends on when you go Edited September 25, 2011 by HorrorNights93
