With there being rumors of the Classic Monsters returning to the event this year, I put together a maze announcement trailer  in hopes it actually happens. Hope you guys like it!

This was AMAZING! I really hope this maze actually happens.

I haven't seen trick r treat yet so I can't say if that'll be very interesting, for me at least (and I'm in the extreme minority it seems) the SZ last year sucked balls. The costumes were boring other than Sam himself, and the scares were almost as weak as Invasion. I only really liked the theming, do you think it'll make a good house?

I think Trick R Treat would make a perfect maze. Trick or Treat at Knotts is so fun and really gets you in the spirit of the season. Upping the intensity with the film version and adding in the extra scares would be superb.

I just feel like Hollywood will replace Thing, Trick r Treat or Asylum with other IPs that might attract more general audiences. That's just my thought.

Evil Dead 2 wouldn't attract the general audiences. Ash v Evil Dead had significantly low wait times at all points of any night so I think HHN is done for a few years with the property.

Well that's quite the opposite for me.

AHS Asylum is perhaps the most popular and well received Season by the Fans of AHS so it will attract the AHS Fans.

Last year in Orlando Trick r Treat was a Scare Zone and proved that a Property doesn't have to be popular to be well received, it just has to be fun and good. And that was the highest rated scare zone of last year. So it will attract HHN Fans who have been waiting for it for awhile and Horror Fans who like the property.

The Thing has been rumored for a long time and is extremely liked and popular amongst many people. Just like Shining people are gonna flop to the Event to see The Thing come to life.

IT And Stranger Things are marketing gifts and most likely will be the marketing pull. Classic Monsters is very popular amongst horror fans. And Halloween has a new film and Michael will also most likely be a marketing pull.

I mean look at Metro Sets nearly every maze in that venue has been a lesser known property than everything else (Crimson Peak, Krampus, Ash Vs Evil Dead, and now Trick r Treat).

There's absolutely no reason why any of this properties will be replaced or pulled unless a Conjuring/Scream Esc Situation happens.

I think the thing is that in Hollywood the management plays it safe more than Orlando does, so they don't get any originals or any creative IPs

You make great points. I'd love to be proven wrong because these are the mazes I'm most looking forward to. Asylum will have some problems as we all know because of the Knott's fiasco with their insane asylum attraction, so we will see. I'm thinking that Universal is trying to cater to general audiences at their event, because most casual fans on Twitter are requesting It, Stranger Things, and very well known properties. At last years event Insidious and Saw consistently has high wait times, while Shining had some high and some very low wait times. Going with coworkers, not one of them knew what the Shining even was, so I doubt many know of The Thing and Trick r Treat outside of the horror community. Just my observations and thoughts though and I completely understand where you're coming from. I hope Universal does keep to this lineup as it's pretty well balanced.

Damn, dude. You should educate them.

My best friend watched Shining a few days later with me and loved it. Everyone else sucks. I'm really crossing my fingers for Thing and Trick r Treat!

Murdy just tweeted “Now I have to go back to reading scripts (yes, still doing that) and going through 30,000 images for a “something” you haven’t seen yet! #HorrorNeverSleeps”

I HOPE he’s talking about the upcoming Predator film cause it hasn’t been released yet so it’s “something” ... no one has seen yet. I keep speculating on Predator coming this year cause I have a gut feeling It will be a maze this year due to the movie out this year plus it would be a dream and a big maze. Props can be reused from The AvP mazes.

This tweet screams The Conjuring (The Nun), The Thing, Stranger Things AND/OR The upcoming Predator film cause it hasn’t been released yet so it’s “something” no one has seen yet. isn't Murdy involved more in Hollywood?

Well, with the Murdy tweet regarding the hint linked to "Terror in the Aisles," as well as his nod to the dozens of movies in that film, it would seem one of the mazes would have to do with one or more of those films. I'm guessing a mashup. And since the titans of terror are all in that film, and so is the shining and others he has done mazes on, who the hell knows. Just for fun, here's the list of movies featured in that film, and yes I realize he gave 3 clues as well but this probably piques someone's interest.

Think I got a connection. I started working with all 3 hints when my friend Manics pointed out that only the third hint connects to Terror in the Aisles so I just focused on that one...

The connection is to John Carpenter’s The Thing. John J. Lloyd died 9/20/2014

He was the production designer/art director for The Thing which is a classic film that was featured in Terror in the Aisles

Manics pointed out that the codename could be ‘John’ seeing as John connects to both J. Lloyd and Carpenter as well as Murdy which is a pretty obvious one. Good reason for him to not reveal it. Similar to ‘Howdy’ in 2016 for The Exorcist.

Terror In The Aisles came out the day Stranger Things season 2 starts Maybe season 1 too, but I don't remember. On his Twitter Murdy makes "time" related comments every time. I will be surprised if it isn't Stranger Things. Terminator also came out that day.

Do you have a connection with the three hints John released this morning? Or to one of the films featured in Terror in the Aisles?

The connection to the dates doesn’t seem strong enough unless there’s evidence from the other hints

Anyone seen this reddit threat supposedly with all the code names, maze locations, lineup, etc. and "good sources" rumors?

That’s just the “leaked lineup” that’s been going around for a while now
