Hauntfan 70 Posted August 2, 2012 ^No, I remember most of the FFP, actually... All the FFP nights I went on, they said the ticket booths were closing and they sold out. I remember this very well. The FFP took away a lot of regular night tickets, so they had limited availability of regular tickets.
AsylumSB 241 Posted August 6, 2012 Im not sure what John Murdy's direct quote was, but I thought each year was more successful that the last. That would generally mean 2011 would have been their best year in terms of visitors, gate income, or possibly profit. Since it is not widely reported what is the standard for "success", nightly sell-outs may not be the be all/end all for measurement. What if they were able to increase the capacity amount? Or raising ticket prices? The number of VIP or group sales? The marketing of the event seems to capitalize on the year before and its successful run (both in terms of event planning, surveys, and ticket options).
