Warehouse Game Experience

Recommended Posts

I find it interesting that once you finish all the puzzles it tells you how many attempts each one took. Has anyone finished all in one attempt? I'm wondering if there's a different ending in that event.

yeah I did a few hours ago, it actually is really easy, is not hard to do everything in one attempt at all if you know what to do

Just finished the damn thing.

The video is very nice. The game...how can I put this...sucks balls. Yes, that about sums it up, I think. Look, I know it was just a little add-on promotional doo-dad., but if you're going to take the time to design a game to put on your site at the very LEAST make the damn thing playable. Not quite as bad as the game on the HOS site a couple years back that had you escaping from a nightclub or warehouse or basement or something and someone was trying to kill you with a cell phone, (maybe I don't have that quite right) and you just kept dying over and over until you realized the damn game didn't HAVE an ending...but still pretty darn weak. I'm not even going to mention that "Warehouse EXXperience" sounds like the name of a porn flick, and never mind that I just did.

Did I mention the video was nice?

I finished it in one shot yesterday around 3 pm. The end result was identical, except for all the attempts being green number ones. I was hoping for something new, like a message or a picture, but nothing.

Oh, but there was an ending to the HOS game...you got to go the the 'VIP' lounge or something like that. I know, 'woo-hoo'! (enter sarcastic smirk) But that stupid game took me forever to finish , and it was pretty scary to me!

I like this one, too, but mostly for the fantastic ambience zombience and not the playability. I prefer JW's movies of the stuff going on (especially DEATH) to the game itself. I thought the video was the letdown. My reaction? "Meh...the one with Heather is better."

:P

I think the game was a nice nod but it has it's flaws and the video was good until about the 2:30 mark and then I was kinda like...MEH. The fact that it took me 15 tries to do one game is what Bruce is pointing out. This is an internet game, not Battletoads. At least with Battletoads you know what your getting into, this game kinda makes you rage if you can't figure it out.

I actually thought it was kind of easy (minus the Sacrifice portion... I think that one just didn't make sense IMO).

But overall I thought it was a good diversion.

For anyone that wants it, here is the pic of Fear from the ending video. For those who don't, I put a spoiler, so don't look.

FearHimself.jpg

I likes it.

Will the roots/vines on his face be static, or will they be....you know...throb-y? More like veins than vines?

First, nice use of the word throb-y. ;) One could only hope, but it appears that the vines are apart of Fear. Sorry about the Spec

My dislike of the game stems from two things: it's insane difficulty, and it's utter lack of any sort of instructions or directions or, indeed, any idea what you're trying to get done. I drowned in that damn ship cabin dozens of times before I figured out what I was supposed to be doing, and many MORE times after I did. It's just badly designed...and I do realize that these people aren't game designers, so I'm cutting them some slack. Still, a game isn't all about pretty graphics and sudden sound effects. There's a REASON I played Battletoads till my thumbs felt like they were going to fall off.

I mean it, I DID enjoy the video, though. It was well acted, well-produced, and I like that they went to the trouble of getting the original actors to portray their respective icons. It's a nice piece of continuity...even though the Usher's bargain-basement Boris Karloff impression sets my teeth on edge.

I don't mean to be negative...it's just funnier that way. Cheers!

That was 1997. 1998 was Primal Scream.

Ok then 97 was my first year.. I was 6.. LOL. I loved it but was really scared.. Then in 04' I became a die hard fan by following the website & forums (RIP tV).. I attended that year & was hooked. Even thou I only did one house (Horror in Wax). I've attended every year since.. Trying my best not to miss a house.. in 05' I missed Demon Cantina, in 06' I missed Screamhouse, Psychoscarepy, & DoT Retold.... Haven't missed a house since.

Awww dude, Psychoscarepy in 06 was tits. I loved it. DoT wasn't all that great so you didn't miss much. Demon Cantina was good, was puzzled as to how you went from a Bar atmosphere to being in like the 9th circle of hell in the last room lol. I think 98 was my first year. What year did they have one about aliens? I think it was called area 51 or something. If it was 98 then I think that was my first year.
