Your HHN/HOS Ideas

Let's hear what's floating around your head for what you'd like to see at a future event! (Note that the purpose of this thread is to present your own original story or theme for HHN. I don't want to see "OMG WOULDNT IT BE LIEK SO AWSUM 2 COMBINE A FREDDY AND JASON HOUS WIT THE SCARY TALES CHARCTERS!?")

Something I'd really like to see would be a Voodoo theme with a Witch Doctor icon. There's a TON of paranormal and just generally creepy stuff surrounding the whole Voodoo premise that could be awesome if implemented correctly. They could make use of some really crazy designs (temples, huts, shrunken heads, crazy rituals) and effects (lots and lots of fire!)

Pitch your ideas, I want to hear them :)

Voodoo such a great theme. I would love to see something in that vain but with a twisted magician. Some were between the Movie magic and the Wizard of Gore. The tough thing with Original ideas is so much has been done it is had to figure something really original. I give HOS this last year the evil sorority house was an original idea, not scary (very hot) but it was original.

A Magic themed year with a magician would be pretty freaking awesome. Think of all the mind tricks they could play with. Just even thinking about it makes me sick x_x And Universal could show off alot of their tricks that made them so popular, like they did in the CoC Opening Scaremonies with HHN 17. Would also be a good excuse to add another show. A magic show, with all sorts of gory, creepy, crazy tricks. Perhaps in the AA stage?

I was thinking maybe have a haunted-maze made as a research plant on Mars with demonic monsters from Hell coming after you. With the rights of the movie Doom, I don't see why not.

I think HHN should do a Pirate theme. I mean think of the house. it could be a multilevel house (I know hard to do but has been done before) Blackbeard as the Icon/main feature. You would start on Deck than go below through the Dark/evil areas where the crew decides whether you live or die. Or the whole house is a cave where Blackbeard and his evil crew are guarding his treasure in a Dark but very evil cave. You could tie in a Scarezone like they did with the Chainsaws for Texas Chainsaw house. But they are many different ways this could go.

Everyone who knows me, know I would really love to see a true Halloween themed event one year...filled with all of the elements we view as truly connected to the event, jack-o-laterns, ghosts, witches, monsters, horror film icons...but done on a more adult level obviously. We sort of got the ambiance I'm looking for the past several years with the flickering jack-o-laterns on Sunset Blvd...however I'd like to see even MORE of Halloween styled theme throughout the park. Sweet 16 was fairly close to the kind of concept I'd like to see, just amped up with more ambiance and decor throughout the park.

Sure we get the zombies, vampires and monsters to a certain extent...but not in a very "Halloweenie" oriented sense.

Give me scary kids like from Skoolhouse, trick or treating throughout the park, bring iconic Halloween horror icons to life in their own houses, we've already seen what they can do with Jason and Freddy...let's see what Michael Myers can do in his own house, bring Norman Bates back, try a house based on "The Shining", "Alien", "Poltergeist" or "The Exorcist", lets see an all out zombified house or scarezone with something like "Night of the Living Dead"...see where I'm going? Traditional, but still recognizable to all age groups as scary and Halloween oriented.

I'd love to see a trip back to the old days with scareactors freely roaming the park, popping up, chasing and scaring the bejesus out of people! (I know we can never go back to the good old days of following people into the bathroom...but following them to the bathroom entrance would be great!)

A girl can dream can't she? ;)

Off topic here, but I was chased into the bathroom twice during HHN 13 and the scareactor stood outside of the stall I had locked myself in and kept saying "come out come out wherever you are!" While everyone either ran out or stood around laughing. I REALLY miss that stuff. Being 13 years old at the time, I was almost in tears. Definitely one of the things that helped propel HHN 13 to my favorite year.

THOSE type of experiences are what can help make HHN, in my book at least, that good old school Halloween event again...where you can get the crap scared out of you at any time, even in the bathroom! (Where having the crap scared out of you would be very appropriate...)

Wow, I really wish I could have experienced those days!! Especially during those moments when you have a slight buzz and a bit of an emergency to attend to, and you duck into the bathroom the one area you think it always safe, but nope, one of the scare actors decided to follow you in there for one quick scare. Man that would be a blast!

I saw something similar to that during Reflections of Fear, I was waiting over by the Ricter Burger and I watched a few of the chainsaw guys chasing these girls and they ran into the restaurant, the chainsaw guys didn't follow them inside, but they were standing outside the door teasing and taunting them, it was a pretty funny sight

In the Vault, I had a whole event put up (All it was missing were scarezones, I couldn't figure out those). The event would be subtitled "Travels in Terror," as the Houses each involve some kind of trip or vacation which turns into a holiday from Hell. The Icon that I and a couple other vaulters helped me come up with was a travel agent. Unlike past Icons like Bloody Mary or the Caretaker, she was not going to be a big, immersive icon, just someone seen in the commercials and a few of the queue line videos, and unlike those Icons, she's not intentionally evil; She just unwittingly sends people to these locales that end up being VERY hazardous to their health, and doesn't understand why they tend to come back insane or near death, if they come back at all.

I came up with House descriptions (A total of 8 Houses) and the queue line entertainment for each one. Want me to post them here?

Back on the Vault, I posted a massive walkthrough for a house based around alien invasion and abduction. It was pretty damn awesome. You would start by entering a farmhouse and seeing a bunch of lights and silhouettes in the windows, then out into a rustling cornfield before being "abducted" with a fog and strobe effect onto the ship. You would go through different areas of the ship and see the prisoners escaping and being killed, before walking through a hull breach onto the ship's surface. From there, you would board an alien dropship that landed on the hull and exit back in a city on Earth, where a massive alien was tearing a convenience store apart.

Go for it dude :) that's what this thread is here for :)

As you wish!

House 1: Evil Dead; The Curse of the Necronomicon.

Concept: In the mood for a relaxing weekend in the woods, you find yourself staying at an isolated cabin in the heart of the wilderness. Unfortunately, someone read from the Necronomicon, and now the woods are crawling with Deadites! Ash could help you, but in the heat of battle, he may have a hard time differentiating between Deadites and regular humans!

Queue line entertainment: Video clips from the Evil Dead Series.

House 2: Psychoscareapy: Fun in the Sun.

Concept: The lovely beachside town of Starfish Bay has long been a popular destination for college students on Spring Break, eager to cut loose and have fun. However, it's about to get some particularly rowdy tourists: The escaped inmates of Shadybrook Mental Hospital! Now, you'll have a lot more to worry about than just running out of sunblock, as the homicidal lunatics decide to show everyone their own idea of partying!

Queue line entertainment: Similar to the queue line entertainment for the previous PS House, "Home for the Holidays," rather than a video, a radio broadcast will be played of tropical/ Spring Break type music, interspersed with fake news reports relating to Starfish Bay and Shadybrook Mental Hospital.

House 3: Scary Tales: World of Pure Mutilation.

Concept: You've won a Golden Ticket to tour Willy Wonka's famous chocolate factory, but upon entering the facility, you'll soon wish you hadn't. Each room of the nightmarish candy factory reveals new horrors too grisly for a kids' book, and if you're not careful, YOU may end up becoming the secret ingredient in one of Wonka's confections! "Oompa Loompa doopity do, a gruesome fate is waiting for you!"

Queue line entertainment: Clips from both Wonka movies, as well as the trailer for the fake movie 'Gobstopper' (For those who haven't seen it, go to Youtube and enter the words "Gobstopper Trailer" as search terms).

House 4: S.S. Frightanic: Welcome Aboard!

Concept: The ghostly vessel has returned, and is taking new passengers on a cruise. It isn't staying afloat for long however, and in order to escape this rapidly- sinking ship, you'll have to face both undersea creatures that think you look delicious, and the spirits of the ship's former crew and passengers who are eager to have you join them, permanently! It will take all your cunning to keep from ending up in a watery grave.

Queue line entertainment: The Travel Agent talks in a video about the ship's history, while deliberately avoiding or glossing over the more disturbing details of it. As she does this, you see brief but unmistakeable glimpses of the ghosts in the background.

House 5: Joy Ride: End of the Line.

Concept: A cross- country road trip turns deadly in a hurry as, while you're at a secluded rest stop, you unwittingly run afoul of the deranged truck driver known only as "Rusty Nail." He has a real bad temper, a love of carnage and bloodshed, and a truck powerful enough to reduce anyone it hits to a greasy red smear on the Interstate. This will be a road trip to remember, if you can make it out alive.

Queue line entertainment: Clips from the two "Joy Ride" movies (With a special focus on the far superior first film, of course).

House 6: Voodoo Nightmare (Lame title, I know, and I promise I didn't steal the concept from the member who proposed a voodoo- themed event).

Concept: On a lush tropical island, you can spend the day exploring the fascinating jungles or soaking up the sun on its many beaches. However, at night, you find yourself more interested in fleeing for your life. You are pursued throughout the island by both predatory jungle beasts, and by voodoo cultists looking for human sacrifices.

Queue line entertainment: Similar to "S.S. Frightanic: Welcome Aboard!", we see a video of the Travel Agent speaking quite fondly of the island, though the video still contains clear hints as to the terrors that await.

House 7: Castle Vampyr: Resurrection.

Concept: Your travels take you to an isolated European castle rumored to have once been the home to a clan of bloodthirsty vampires. Upon entering the castle, you soon find that such rumors are NOT exaggerated. The vampires are real, and eager to feast upon your blood to nourish themselves.

Queue line entertainment: I'm not sure what entertainment (If any) they offered for the first istallment of "Castle Vampyr," but for this one, I'm thinking a video of clips from a "Ghost Hunters"- esque fake reality show, ending abruptly as the vampires get them.

House 8: Cinematic Slaughterfest.

Concept: You've been invited to tour the set for an upcoming horror film. The animatronic monsters and prop weapons all look so real, and you soon find out that's because they ARE! You find yourself being chased through the set by monsters and maniacs, all while a familiar filmmaker from Horror Nights past records your struggles as part of his own horror film.

Queue line entertainment: A video of the Travel Agent talking about the horror movie and its set, at one point being interrupted by a special message from the Director.

So, what do you think?

those are all very good :D. we should create our own event here on the site. we can work together or split into groups and have a competition. what do you guys think?

haha i like that idea, I'm on board if the others are :)

anyhow, as my name suggests, an icon idea that I have that I've been liking lately is a sinister killer artist. He actually believes his own murders are art forms and goes so far as to make his work consist of bodies of his subjects. I wouldn't go with the EXACT name, because it sounds so thrown together and it is because I came up with it on a whim.

You walk through his art studio and a room where his greatest works are on display in his art gallery. Not just his work, but recreations of famous works are also in the gallery.

me and my friend think it's a shame there hasn't been a Sleepy Hallow house. It might be more along the lines of the Wolfman house from last year, along with it being atmospheric. Fog, the horse heard galloping and neighing. Or a guest walks through a part in the path and the horse is heard right behind them from a dark corner and someone quickly blows air at them from behind to simulate a horse. Universal could even utilize the bridge between Amity and World Expo as the bridge in the story.

ok, should i create another thread to help promote it and get people to join or just wait?

I'd say start a new thread. I think that would be really fun, main trouble is getting others to join in on expressing their imaginations with us. We could probably encourage some people to join if we don't set a lot of limitations like not only having it be original, but also for those who thought of a freddy vs jason house or reusing icons. As long as they keep it in the bounds of realism and not so over the top. Maybe get a few people to write up their ideas and the rest can answer polls on who has the best ideas, the top picked could end up in an official thread as our official HNN event. If it's a big hit we might be able to do more than one each year.. just a few suggestions on how to go about with it :)

I have an idea for a year of HHN if they ever decide to do a wedding for Jack and Chance imagine this. A church where the isles are filled with dead bodies and victims of Jack at the altar Stand Jack and Chance and the priest readiing the usall lines is the Caretaker. As Jacks groomsmen The director, The usher, Freddy, jason , and leather face. And as Chances maids The storyteller, and bloody Mary. And when the caretaker ask"till death do you part?" Jack turns to us and Screams "I do!!" then suddenly Eddie busts through the walls with a Chainsaw drill team and begins to chase the people.

lol, Rat Lady and Terra Queen can be the other brides maids, the flower girl can be Cindy, the ring bearer can be Chucky, and the reception can be at the Demon Cantina, and it will be catered by Meetz Meats.

sorry, couldn't help myself.

edit: I also think it would be hilarious if Eelmouth was in the crowd wiping his tears of joy with a hanky.

Since cindy is comming into play imagine this..... Since she was reported dead in the fire imagine the caretaker stealing her body in the night. He then takes it to Jack for help to revive her and he agrees to help. And on the night of A fullmoon all the icons gather at an altar where they begin to chant and chant and as they chant cindys soul returns to her body and she awakes and runs to her father and say "dady what happened?" and he replies "nothing you've been sleeping for a while but now you're awake and its time to play" and they all laugh evily in the night and they begin thier reign of terror in Halloween Horror Nights 20.

Something to celebrate about HHN 21: our favorite event will finally be old enough to drink!! So I would like to pitch a house for next year:

We enter a soundstage through the usual doors, but instead of meeting a facade, we find ourselves backstage - white sheets of paper taped to the black walls tell us where our boo-holes are, and we snake our way into "Scene 4 - Kitchen". As we walk through what looks like any other HHN house, frat boys jump out at us and get right in our faces, then laugh to their friends and walk away. Occasionally, a big guy with his girlfriend will punch one of us in the nose, just to prove how tough he is. We exit through another boo-hole and find ourselves at the end of a house, where we report the guy to the police. He appears, still laughing and waving his blinky-cup, until he is led away, charged and escorted out of the park. The 'house' actually continues outside the stage and we walk past the vendor shouting "ICE COLD WATER! BEER HERE!" as several other men vomit into a trash can and/or over our shoes.
