IMO I dont see it happening. The crowd that HHN attracts arent familiar with that movie. (or I know I'm not) Ive tried watching it once and it just didnt do anything for me. [no pun intended]

Its actualy very big and well known and it did well in orlando in 07 Murdy just does not want to do it till he can improve the technology Orlando used.

There was also the issue of some drunk people and trouble makers defacing the props and even destroying them!

The Thing is a horror classic. I highly recommend giving it another view, it's great. I also remember Murdy saying he would like to do it but on a bigger, more expensive scale than Orlando. I think this is the perfect opportunity if its a hit. It is a universal property, has a great location set in the arctic, a shape shifting villain allowing for many different scare actors and really, the Thing is just awesome. I think putting it on the lower lot in 2011 with a big budget would make a cool maze.

That said, not sure how popular the Thing is and the box office on this one could go anywhere. Depends on marketing and of course quality.

The whole monster alien theme was awesome in that movie, but it might be a bit much to try to pull off in a maze. I wasn't able to attend '07 so I missed Assimilation.. but then again, as it's been said time and time again the crowds for Hollywood and Orlando are worlds apart, a lot would probably not like The Thing, let alone know what it is.

Evil Dead, The Thing, Jeepers Creepers, and Pumpkinhead are films I would want to see as mazes at some point.. Oh yeah, and Cigarette Burns, that would be pretty cool too.

excuse me but what???????

Something tells me you haven't been looking at Murdy's Twitter more carefully; for a short time he was tired of hearing the same questions reiterated over and over again so he said he would only give Magic 8 ball responses.

I went universals today and looked for any hhn construction. Well i didnt see anything lol. But i did notice near the end of the war of the worlds set where the tram usually picks you up at, on the left on the side of the jurassic park set it was very clean and had plywood piles laying all around n there was a clear pathway paved. Hummm maybe the extension for terror tram?

Sounds likely and very exciting! I'm going Monday and I'm sure by that time there will be something to look at; I chose not to go Saturday since this is the first weekend Kong has officially opened and the fact that it'll be July 4th weekend will have the park hell-in-a-handbasket!

I think they do the offsite stuff first so that may esplain and also there probably cleaning up the areas first

usually when staring up construction for the years event most utillites are kept around the backlot or near soundstages for PRE build the moved to the actual location :)

if they do plan on extending the ending of the Terror Tram i expect everyone to be well prepared for A LONG ASS WALK

and a giant ass hill :)
