AgentOfChaos93
well as we've seen this past year SAW,Chucky,MBV,and Michael all made it big last year mostly because people know who these are theres PLENTY of ways they can transform our Movie Based HHN into such an event as that of HHNO luckily were gonna have 1 maze this year thats gonna be created off there own ORIGINAL ideas and the rest will be studio based movie mazes which opens up thousands of titles to choose from one that i completely forgot about which is coming out on DVD VERY soon is The Crazies its one they could possibly use which would also mean bringing back the asylum? im thinking our own version of Psychoscarapy? I see The Crazies as more of a scarezone
Grindhousehero13
I don't know, if it is every once in a while the big three may be good, i mean not every year but every 2 years or something, and between classic monsters and modern monsters i would have to give it to the classics, they actually had substance they weren't just "kill the few people who are meaningless to the story then either die or get caught" that just sucks. But, when i say classics I mean Freddy and Jason(of course) Dracula, Frankenstein, and The Invisible Man, I am not particularly fond of the Wolfman or The Mummy Freddy and them arnt classic monsters anywho dont get me wrong i like classic horror movies I just think without a gory modern upgrade they would be horrible mazes and when you said "kill the few people who are meaningless to the story then either die or get caught" I agree with you but that what translate perfectly to mazes which is the case were talking about here

electro_killer
I could def see them bringing Psychoscarepy to HHNH, And I personally would love it. I loved the Asylum in 06, it scared the hell out of me anyway. But what I hate is that Uni isnt even willing to TRY an original concept for a maze. Yes the big names and big movies are what bring people in, But why not use those names and titles to reel them in and then slap then with AT LEAST one original maze!? Just my opinion. Well it sounds like you and the rest of us just might get our wish this year. Though there are some other franchises/movies that I think would be really cool to see as mazes (Scream, Hellraiser, Wolfman, Evil Dead, Hannibal, and possibly the upcoming My Soul to Take.), I think Holywood should emphasize a tad bit more on original concepts. Once they burn through all of the usable movies for mazes, they're going to have to dwell more on original theming (Which I hope they do.)
baraka564
ya know i hadn't thought about that i would love a hellraiser maze, and they should have some original ideas but, in Orlando they are playing it safe because that stuff brings in money, in Hollywood they are playing it safe because they don't know whether it would bring in cash or not

I think we've already predicted three out of the five mazes for next year! Scream, Hellraiser, and My Soul to Take (assuming it does well.) Grindhousehero13
WOW! alot of people are going crazy about press release on other sites just, this is why i stay away from HHN's facebook and youtube fans, but it goes from people getting angry useing Orlando's Theme as evidence for ours, complaining, and jumping at every little thing as a maze, I swear was it this crazy last year before Twitter and Facebook? People out there need to relax a bit I mean if it was not for the producers of SAW opening there mouth last year we would'nt even know saw was the theme till late july and the other 3 (Harry, Micheal, and Chucky) we had NO idea about them till August. I mean these people think that were gonna know SZ, shows, hours, mazes, how cold its gonna be, all at once im predicting a big backlash from Facebook and twitter when the teaser page goes up watch. True, i believe that this whole announcing of a press release was just to get the anticipation up for an event that is basically three months away. So i think we can say this was all apart of Murdy's plan to increase intrest and it seemed to work. i think we will find out about a month or two before the event is to start. DTH316
Well the sooner I know the PR, the sooner I can convince other people to go. Some people only want to go depending on the content, which is understandable. They're not fanatics like us who will go even if it were Teletubby mazes. People need a long time to prep for the event. To save money for tickets, their dates, gas, parking, food, etc.. College students are the main crowd and we know they aren't exactly stacked with dollar bills. They also need to get around midterms, birthdays, Halloween parties and work or any other thing they may see as a priority so a good day can be set for a big group of people can all go. Setting up a day where 10 people, whom are interested in the content, can go to the event is quite hard when everyone is busy. That's why I think the PR is important to me because that little extra time may mean good times with more friends or certain friends.

Yes but look at all the people who are complaining on the sites I know most of them arnt college students Im in the same baot as you with I have to conivnce people to go and save money before summer even begains but things are getting ridiculus on the social networks how many times can you ask Murdy "Whats the theme, what Mazes are there? where the PR?" DTH316
I don't even get the point of a PR. If everything is a done deal and locked down, what does it really matter? I salute Knotts for realizing this.

electro_killer
IMO PR is viral hype. I think the reason Knotts doesnt do it, is because theyve been doing Haunt for so long, theres no need campaign. Where as HHNH is still a baby and needs to be advertised and hyped up. Idk I say we get the PR after the fourth of July.
Grindhousehero13
I just want the PR to come out so everyone can stop complaining and realize that Freddy nor Jason will be part of this year!
DTH316
Granted since all Knotts mazes are original they can say whatever they want, whenever. And Uni has to deal with movie rights and what not. But the mazes have been LOCKED IN for about 2 months now. It's silly. If Uni really wanted to create some buzz, why not release a youtube video a week of a new announcement? That would catch the attention more than anything a PR would. Half the people that go don't even know what mazes are there until they show up anyway. Youtube would fix that problem easily.
