HorrorNightsFan13
After years of hearing “I’ll do a maze when Mike makes a sequel” John has finally decided to do a maze based on Mike Dougherty’s 2007 horror anthology Trick ‘r Treat This maze will be located in the Mummy venue, same place as The Shining and The Exorcist It went by codename “Olympics” the connection being the 1984 Summer Olympics mascot was Sam the Eagle and Sam is our Halloween rule keeper Please discuss here. I’m trying to keep this forum alive. It’s so sad to see the place where my speculation began come to be a deserted wasteland
bggrenville813
Holy crap I am so excited this is finally coming to HHN Hollywood as a maze, as opposed to a scare zone like in Orlando. There are way too many gore-geous (leave me and my puns alone) sets/scenes for it to only be utilized as a sz. I personally love a classic halloween theme that's amped up with scarier costumes and makeup (i.e. Hell-O-Ween scare zone last year) and I think the GP will really enjoy it, even if they haven't seen the movie. There's no way to end the name in a "Z". 1

The past 4 houses in Mummy queue have had extensive black walls: This is the End, Exorcist, Shining (I am also including Clowns 3D, which had many plywood halls pained with Chroma Depth rather than black). They just broke those same exact black walls out of storage for construction. I seriously don't see them detailing these. Prepare to see Sam pop out of exact same locations as TITE's demon, Exorcist's Regan, and Shining's Jack. Prepare for utter disappointment. Want to see Trick R Treat given a kick ass house? Fly to Orlando Likewise whatever goes into the Parisian queue. There will be long black hallways.

I went to hhn Hollywood last year and despite being repeats scares, I really enjoy it. I like the difference in the coasts. If it's going to be almost similar as other past houses, at least have a different scene.

Been going to Hollywood HHN since the very beginning and watching it deteriorate the last few years under Murdy, while Knotts has vastly improved during the same period will do that to a person. You might want to head over to the HHN Orlando/Knotts/other destinations forums to see some well deserved praise. I am most definitely not an HHN hater, as I fly across the country every single year to go to Orlando HHN. If Orlando put on a Hollywood quality event, I would not do that. You won't believe how much I want to write that "this year was a stellar year for HHN Hollywood". I have in the past. Hollywood too rarely does something better than Orlando (La Llorona, Exorcist). This is all about leadership - not the park size or budget. If the teams of John Murdy/Chris Williams and Patrick Braillard/Mike Aiello traded places, I firmly believe that Hollywood HHN would be a far better venue than Orlando after a few years. Anyone disagree with that? I have a hard time believing that someone can put their full effort into a Hollywood event when they live 50% of the time in Ireland. It's time for fresh blood.
WESKER69
*BUMP* So I'm really expecting to see a plethora of Jack-O-Lanterns used for the facade & within this maze itself. Hell.. they can do a blackout effect where the lit Jack-O-Lanterns get "blown out" & BAM! Sam attacks because you didn't leave them lit like the tradition says to do. I wouldn't be surprised if we saw some of "Hell-O-Ween's" scenic recycled for this maze... specifically the pumpkins
