By the way, I hope no one minds that I've been doing posts that are short descriptions of these houses and scare zones. I'm not as good as doing full write-ups of houses or scare zones like a lot of folks here, but I enjoy coming up with these summaries for them, like the sort you'd see on the Halloween Horror Nights website.

Perfectly okay.

Thanks for the kind comments.

Also, I've had an idea for something that might be fun for HHN 30. I know some of the previous anniversary years have had scare zones devoted to the icons. What if they did scare zones ruled over by the main icons (Jack, Caretaker, Director, Storyteller, and the Usher)? Basically, five scare zones (probably inspired by older scare zones or houses), and each one is essentially lead by an icon.

Yeah i can seeh that working. Jack can have a carnival zone, caretaker can have a gothic zone, director can have modern universal horrors (tethered, baby face killer, etc etc), storyteller can have a scary tales or urban legends zone, and the usher can have reimagined versions of classic monsters (think the designs of UM this year).

Oh, nice. That is an arrangement I could definitely see working.

Midway of the Bizarre

Step right up, and see the most horrifying show on Earth! The Midway of the Bizarre is back in town, with Jack the Clown as the new ringmaster for this carnival of horrors. With his motley crew of killer clowns and demented carnies, this is certain to be a show that you will never forget.

Scream House: Homecoming

Not even the walls of the old mortuary can contain the evil which Albert Caine had brought with his twisted experiments. Haunting ghosts and ravenous zombies have begun to rise from the grave, and a secret society has come to lend their aid to his work: the Body Collectors.

All Nite Die-In: The Director's Cut

The drive-in's projector flickers to life, and the cinematic nightmares come right off the screen! The Director has assembled his own collection of modern horror films, and you'll be the star of this film festival of fear. From slasher movie icons to the horrors of Blumhouse, there's no way you'll live to see the ending credits.

Tales of Terror

Stories have power within their words, and the Storyteller will remind you that they offer devastating lessons as well. From scary tales to urban legends, all of them offer one simple lesson: follow the Storyteller's rules, or there's no happily ever after for you.

Silver Screams: The Last Picture Show

The Universal Palace Theatre may have closed its doors, but the movie monsters it terrified audiences with still haunt its grounds. The Usher is here to guide you into an era of classic nightmares, where the Universal Monsters and horror icons of old are just as horrifying as they were when they first appeared on the silver screen.

Some more ideas for my Multiversal Breakout idea since there's so much potential to the idea itself

  • Laboratory-Guests enter a laboratory where it was once a laboratory run by normal scientists but now thanks to the breakout happening it has been overrun with villainous mad scientists, various mad scientists are seen preforming twisted experiments on helpless scientists with one helpless scientist even being turned into a Headcrab Zombie before the Headcrab Zombie Scientist tries to claw on guests, they then enter to a portal room where it leads to the Dream World
  • Dream World-As guests enter the portal itself, they would find themselves to be a nightmarish version of an amusement park with wardens and guards are tormented in the Dream World in various ways (Ex: Hair growing everywhere on the guard including the eyes) along with some guards and wardens killing each other due to the fact that Dr. Destiny is using the dream stone to bring out their negative emotions, Dr. Destiny hides in the scene while holding the dream stone, also in the scene is Death 13 who swoops down at guests with its scythe and at the near end is Freddy Krueger himself

Hello all! Just wanted to post my idea, a sequel to "Depths of Fear." Parts of this maze is inspired by the 80's film "Leviathan" Please feel free to post any ideas you may have for this maze.

Depths of Fear (T.B.A.)- After the collapse of the Deep Sea Mining Base owned by FATHOM CORP.  and the deaths of the personnel on board in the Pacific Ocean, somewhat near Japan and the P.R.C. (People's Republic of China), the true origins of the "Mouthbrooders" are revealed. As the U.S. government is very much aware of what happened to the mining base (but keeping it in secret from the public and most government officials) when they had tracked the calls for help from the mining base, they wanted to get to the bottom as to what exactly happened in the mining base.  From what little evidence was left at the site of the collapsed of the mining base, the Department of Defense was able to obtain samples of the corpses of the personnel along with some organisms of the mouthbrooders, but wanted to know where it exactly the mouthbrooders came from. They suddenly had their answer. After tracking organisms with the same cells of mouthbrooders, they had found a shipwreck belonging to the People's Liberation Army Navy,  where they had found many pieces of evidence related to the mouthbrooders. As they took the evidence back to secretly the biggest, more powerful and advanced submarine of the U.S. Navy (name T.B.A.), they had discovered that the mouthbrooders were actually a Cold War experiment, a weapon created by a secret division for biological warfare of the People's Liberation Army.  The evidence points out that on the ship that held the mouthbrooders was the site of an outbreak of the mouthbrooders, killing and infecting the crew. It was a test to see how the mouthbrooders would do against a nation's navy fleet. It had succeeded and was later bombed by the People's Liberation Army Air Force (or Navy) to stop the outbreak further and to cover up any evidence.  After the evidence was passed onto the higher command in the Pentagon, the Pentagon had wanted to keep and further weaponize the mouthbrooders for naval warfare. So the crew, reluctant and frightened, stored the mouthbrooders in containment and under guard. Things were about to get worse. One of the crew aboard the submarine was a mole or a spy for the Russian Armed Forces, as they too wanted the weapon and searched for it.  After a tense standoff, the mouthbrooders were accidentally released within the submarine, attacking the crew and overwhelming the security personnel. After a distress call is sent out, the Pentagon orders the deployment of U.S. Navy Seals to obtain the weapon and cover up any evidence. As the Seals breach the sub, they must fight against both the mutated personnel, moutbrooders and the Spetsnaz (Russian Special Forces) (who are ordered to retrieve the weapon) in a bloody and isolated fight.

Maze for the 2008 HHN Scarezone: "Apocalypse: City of Cannibals"

Title to be announced:

The cannibal humanoids as you know, were once experiments back in the 60's to the 90's, for medical research along with testing new serums to cure diseases. After months of torture and failed tests, these humanoids were disposed of into the sewers when presumed dead. But the humanoids never died. After they awoke, they grew to hate the surface world. But wanted nothing to do with them either. For decades, after being organized, they dwelled within the sewers, subway tunnels, anywhere isolated and underground, and attacked and fed on people who dared enter their dwellings. Then suddenly, the humanoids would have their revenge against the surface world. On a sunny afternoon, the biggest earthquake of all, superseding the San Francisco earthquake of 1906 struck not only California, but the entire West Coast of the U.S., Mexico and Canada. All cities and towns had been totally devastated, with little to no law and order from the police and national guard, gangs and looters were pillaging in the ruins and ruling over. But things were about to get worse. The humanoids had  finally had the chance to rise out of the underground. The humanoids had armed themselves and slaughtered the humans of the surface world with no mercy. Now, the humanoids will reign supreme and go on the hunt for the remaining people still alive.

Just Shapes and Beats: MULTIVERSAL BREAKOUT

This is like a dumb idea i came up with weeks ago when I thought during my browsing on DeviantArt and Tumblr, also here's the story

After Blixer tried (and failed) to kill Square and then revert back to his original form along with becoming a DJ as well, everything seemed back to normal for Paradise, until now...

During a party at Paradise with the wiggles dancing and doing other party things as well, a spaceship crashes near the treeangle causing the wiggles to flee, however once the spaceship crashed near it, some of the wiggles approached it and inspected a bit also, they even looked at the name of the spaceship in which it is called DESPAIR HORIZON however an all-too familiar clown comes out of the wreckage causing the wiggles to look curious about the clown however as the clown looked around, he sees it as a perfect time to cause mayhem and massacre, so he gathers a bunch of supervillains from their cells and did so, however there is one person that opposes him and that is Eddie Schmidt, brother of Jack the Clown, he then creates his own team of villains and begins to have a war with his brother and his supervillain group, the other villains meanwhile oppose both groups and begin to go solo, but however Square and the other three non-shapes including Blixer team up to try and stop the villains

Decorations: The now crashed DESPAIR HORIZON is seen along with a few party decorations as well, there is also a concert stage where Blixer performs at but is now almost destroyed

CHRISTMAS CREEP: DARK TRADITIONS

Santa isn't coming this year. Instead, a myriad mix of his abandoned companions have descended upon the city, seeking to punish the wicked. Have you been good this year? No? Then this might be your last Christmas...

There are a ton of weird things associated with Christmas. And that's what this is about. The demons, psychos, trolls, and ghosts that are said to accompany Santa on his way, providing discipline to those who aren't up to Santa's standards. As guests enter the scarezone, "snow" falls, decorations are hung, and music is in the air. (That said, it's stuff like Midnight Syndicate, Trans-Siberian Orchestra, and whatever the heck was playing in Dark Christmas. All Christmas music.) Lining the streets are Christmas-themed scenes, though with a dark twist. For example:

  • A pair of shoppers are attacked by the Yule Cat. The Cat is an animatronic, twisting its head and hissing at guests.
  • The Rat King stands over a busted Nutcracker, as Maria is in a screaming pose. The Rat King is a scaracter, and will swing his saber at guests.
  • A creepy mall Santa sits in on a throne. He is accompanied by a pair of "naughty elves".
  • A group of caroling skeletons stand on one of the platforms.
  • Bringing back The Damnation Army, though this time the collector has his bell jammed into his skull.
  • A giant gingerbread house. Except it's burning. The gingerbread people are panicking.

SCARACTERS:

  • Krampus: A stiltwalking demon wearing blood-stained fur-trimmed robes. Carries a washtub on his back, and a bundle of birch in his hand.
  • Knecht Ruprecht: A dirty, brown-robed Santa-esque figure. With black trim and a matching beard, he carries a switch in his hand.
  • Pelsnickle: Very similar to Ruprecht, except he appears to be wearing dirty, tattered pajamas under his robe. Also carries a switch, but he also has a sack full of candy. And if you ask politely, he might let you take some.
  • Pere Fouettard: A burly beast of a man wearing a winter coat, apron, and hat. With a dirty black beard, he roams the streets with a meat cleaver in hand.
  • Frau Perchta: An elegant-looking witch, if it wasn't for the stitches covering her, with straw poking out of the seams. She swipes at guests with her long nails.
  • Gryla: A hunchedback troll of a woman who is feasting on a joint of meat. That looks like human flesh.
  • Meat-Hook: A Yule Lad, a troll like his mother, who carries a meathook.
  • Stubby: Another Yule Lad. Short, and carries a knife to cut pies with.
  • Spoon-Licker: Yet another Yule Lad. Abnormally thin, so Wikipedia says. Carries a wooden spoon, threatening to wollop guests with it.
  • Tomte: A short, gnomish creature that scurries about. Has very sharp fangs.
  • Mari Lwyd: Technically a puppet of sorts. The puppeteer hides in a flowing white sheet, with a puppetted "horse skull" poking out. The head sways about, singing. Its eyes glow blue.
  • Old Man Winter: A stiltwalking man in blue robes. His long white beard is frozen over, alongside the rest of him, and he carries a frozen pickaxe.

COLD EIGHTY: Despair of Motherland

Facade: Westhead Media Building

Scene 1: Guests enter the building of Westhead Media and see a few buildings and a film studio, on the right side of the film studio is Vukmir and the Bald Man who glee at the sight of the guests while Vukmir smiles creepily at them and on the left side is Ultimate Self Dirk, Monika and her friends and Junko Enoshima, the guests then proceed to the huge gate itself.

Scene 2: As guests enter the film studio, they see most of the Avengers Endgame Army and the Unified Army members experiencing a hallucinatory vision of every popular film ever due to the tsunami wave of SCP-3151 even though they are completely still and are unresponsive, some of the members however are experiencing their ultimate nightmares over and over due to Dr. Destiny's Dreamstone, the scene itself also has Arthur blindly swinging his one of his weapons at the guests while also crying.

Scene 3: Guests are now in the film studio again but this time the Avengers Endgame Army and the Unified Army members are nowhere to be seen, but however guests would then see multiple TVs and a few Computers showing the members of both the Avengers Endgame Army and the Unified Army being killed in the fictional narratives while Mastermind!Makoto explains to them while his allies only watch of what's happening along with the members of the Avengers Endgame Army being trapped in the fictional narratives they're in all the while Dr. Destiny would startle guests.

Scene 4: Guests then go to a scene similar to the "All Work And No Play Makes Jack A Dull Boy" scene in the HHN Hollywood version of The Shining haunt where it is filled with giant book pages with some of them affected by SCP-4513 and one of them even having SCP-3138 in it, in this scene the members of the Avengers Endgame Army and the Unified Army are inserted by an upgraded version of SCP-4506, in the scene itself is Captain America trying to get a Thing-like Facehugger off of him.

Scene 5: After that, guests then enter one of the buildings of the Warsaw Pact organization, inside the building is a total state of chaos as gunfire is heard along with screaming, dead bodies lie on the floor, a almost dying guard tells the guests to get out of here before having his heart ripped out by an undead Joseph Stalin, as guests continue their way to the building, they then go to a large meeting room where they see multiple dead bodies and on the screen are photos of dead families, almost destroyed homes, etc, also in the meeting room hides a few members of the Remnants of Despair.

Scene 6: Then guests go to the 1940 version of Moscow where after the White Event happened, it is ISOTed next to the OTL 1980 Moscow where they attempt to take over the OTL 1980 Moscow but failed and is forced into hiding, here in the streets of OTL 1940 Moscow, the Russian Military are attempting to fight back against Mastermind!Makoto and his Remnants of Despair but are failing, one of the Russian soldiers to try and shoot at a flying NiGHTs who swoops down at guests, Gilius rushes towards guests with his axe, Winter Soldier snaps a Russian soldier's neck (the russian soldier is a dummy).

Scene 7: Guests will now be outside of the Westhead Media building where it is almost completely destroyed and is ready to crumble down along with two other buildings one being the TotleighSoft building and the other being the Belko Corp building, the United League members and the Remnants of Despair army along with Mastermind!Makoto charge at guests.

Scene 8: Guests are now in a dark room where it has multiple TVs that display footage of the Russian Civil War and also announcing that Mastermind!Makoto Nagei is dead, no scares in this room.

Scene 9/Finale: Guests now enter into a abandoned church where they see hooded preacher ranting of how Mastermind!Makoto Nagei and Despairism will "save the people of Earth" while some of the other hooded figures try to grab guests, at the near end of the maze is one last scare from Mastermind!Makoto Nagei.

(If you want to know of what this is based off of, it is based off of my Cold Eighty Mashup AU where it is a Mashup AU of all the other ISOT Mapgames, the credits go to the original maker who made this original ISOT Mapgame who is also in one of the Discord servers that I was invited in)

Interesting! Personally, I see Mortis as an adventurer hero type, so the idea to make him the icon is interesting - though it could work, if we focus on his many studies.

Also I'm looking into the God is Dead comics on TV Tropes - a frightening concept.

Thanks! I also do have another event idea that's basically themed around Warped/Twisted Nostalgia with Saturday Morning Carnage included, i also even thought of having FNAF in there as well.

Also speaking of studies, if my event idea was ever a HHN event I think maybe videos on Youtube of Mortis' studies relating to the haunted houses would be pretty cool.

Well at this point, Five Nights At Freddy's might as well be nostalgia for some!

And that would be a cool promotional idea.

Yeah pretty much, I was also thinking of Turbo Kid when coming up with IP Houses for the event idea itself, although I don't think it would count as one.

Really? Thanks! I also even thought of adding in Rock n Roll: Shock your Soul and Game Over: Arcade because Rock n Roll's scene lineup is past songs and Arcade's scene lineup being well past games.

ORCZ: LEGION OF SAVAGES

The Kingdom of Farala hasn't been attacked by the creatures of the Wastelands in centuries. In fact, it's been so old that the kingdom has been replaced with a democracy, and Capital Farala is a 1920's utopian city. ...Until the Orcs came back. Overrun by these beasts, Capital Farala is in for trouble - can you escape the carnage, or will you become fresh meat?

A scarezone that combines WarHammer 40K, Mad Max, and the wastes of the Roaring 20's, ORCZ: Legion of Savages is set in an urban section of the park. Posters for Farala businesses and events, such as a wizard that offers his services, or a lute concert, are hung, and there's an oldsmobile in the scarezone - shame that the driver has been slaughtered. Along with their army, the orcs brought along a few Wasteland-esque vehicles. There's a "Larder Truck", which is basically a truck with various humanoid meats hung over the bed. If the scarezone has the size for it, some of the Orcs can ride motorcycles. And as the crown jewel of the Orc Forces, is the giant Siege Wagon. The Siege Wagon is a large truck, coated with spikes, it can act like a battering ram and a portable barracks, and there's a gunner on top operating a machine gun. (The Purge's Big Daddy animatronic.) The music is a lot of drums and horns.

SCARACTERS:

  • Orc Leader: The guy in command, the Orc Leader is a big guy wearing a dirty, torn trenchcoat, military pants, huge boots, and a pair of goggles. Nine horns jut out of his head, three on each side and three down the middle, and his lower jaw is a piece of scrap metal. His voice can be heard over the soundtrack, barking orders, rallying his men, and insulting the weak, mortal men that make up the majority of guests. He carries a battleaxe made from a human's arm bones and scrap metal.
  • Gruntz: The basic soldiers of the army, the gruntz wear scrap armor and carry weapons such as battleaxes, great swords, clubs, maces, and hammers. Since Orc Culture values strength over gender, the cast of soldiers can include female orcs.
  • Boomerz: Okay, these guys wear scavenged, ragged clothes, lighter scrap armor, and carry boomsticks. Big-barreled shotguns made from salvaged materials. Preferably, the gun props will be able to "fire" (loud boom and flash in the muzzle.)
  • Cookz: Fat orcs in skin aprons that carry body parts and cleavers.
  • Berserkerz: Skinnier orcs that wear flayed humanoid pelts, run around, and attack with one-handed weapons.
  • Destroyerz: Orcs that carry chainsaws.
