Okay, that title may be a bit misleading, maybe not. I've been looking back at the threads of past years, specifically the ones where houses and scarezones were ranked. I decided to create a points system. For example, for eight houses, it would be:

• Ranked 1: Eight Points
• Ranked 2: Seven Points
• Ranked 3: Six Points
• Ranked 4: Five Points
• Ranked 5: Four Points
• Ranked 6: Three Points
• Ranked 7: Two Points
• Ranked 8: One Point

So far I have gone through the HHN 20 AND 21 House and SZ Rankings Threads and created lists. Some criteria I used was:

• Any list not containing every house and scarezone that year was considered invalid, due to the fact it would be unfair to any house or zone left out.
• If there was a tie, every point would be decreased by one, meaning even the tied houses weren't number one, that number one house would only get seven points instead of the eight. The tied houses, let's say they were tied for second, would both get SIX points.

I think that's it. There's also notes pointing out things.

2010 Houses Total Points

1. Catacombs: Black Death Rising at 201 Points

2. Hades: Gates Of Ruin at 199 Points

3. Horror Nights: Hallowed Past at 186 Points

4. HAVOC: Dogs of War at 158 Points

5. Zombiegeddon at 124 Points

6. Legendary Truth: The Wyandot Estate at 114 Points

7. Orfanage: Ashes to Ashes at 109 Points

8. PsychoScareapy: EOS at 106 Points

NOTES:

• HAVOC was the official 2010 HOTY, but was fourth on this list.
• However, this list does fit Catacombs being DQed from HOTY in real life and not winning it.
• Horror Nights was initially in a far lead, but suddenly both Hades and Catacombs got a huge boost.

2010 Scarezones

1. 20 Years of Fear with 162 Points

2. Saws and Steam with 133 Points

3. Fear Revealed with 125 Points

4. Esqueleto Muerte with 90 Points

5. Zombie Gras with 83 Points

6. The Coven with 68 Points

NOTES:

• 20 Years was the official SOTY, and wouldn't you know it, it's on the top here.
• 20 Years was in the lead the entire time except for a short portion where Saws and Steam led.

2. The In Between with 163 Points

3. The Forsaken and Holidays of Horror at 135 Points each

4. Winter's Night with 133 Points

5. Saws and Steam with 131 Points

6. The Thing with 110 Points

7. Nevermore with 107 Points

2011 Scarezones Total Points

1. 7 with 110 Points

2. Grown Evil with 88 Points

3. Acid Assault with 84 Points

4. Canyon of Dark Souls with 67 Points

5. Nightmaze with 64 Points

6. Your Luck with 49 Points

2012 Houses Total Points

1. Gothic with 120 Points

2. Dead End with 109 Points

3. Penn and Teller with 85 Points

4. House of Horrors with 81 Points

5. Walking Dead with 68 Points

6. Silent Hill and Alice Cooper with 67 Points each.

How in holy hell did Grown Evil not get the top spot? One of my fave scarezones of all time!
