Halloween Horror Nights - Hollywood 2015 Speculation

Recommended Posts

^There is a possibility of a rocker maze this year: Iron Maiden. That's a STRONG possibility. Murdy said that he's working on a maze the requires a lot of research on history. What are their songs mainly about? Oh, and they're supposed to release a new album later this year (Fall?)....just lime Alice, Black Sabbath, and Slash did. Murdy also replied to someone asking g about a Maiden maze and replied with something like "I think it would make a great maze".

PROMOTE! PROMOTE! PROMOTE! Calling it now. Uni can promote while getting to meet Iron Maiden

Iron Maiden 3D.......i see it happening. I want to see Maiden in concert, the one and only time I've seen them was at ooziest in 2005 when Sharon Osborne and her evil minions sabotaged their show

Has there been any discussion on what or if there is going to be an original maze this year. Because I have a feeling that the Krampus maze is going to be based off of the movie because of promotion, so that theme of Scary Xmas aside what would you think would the original be. I think a really cool idea that has potential and could be likely if there were to be a maze based off of the island of the dolls which is a Mexican legend of sorts (one of the reasons I think it could work) and the island is an actual island off the coast of Mexico where there are thousands of dolls hung in trees like some sort of ritual, and the legend has it that people put the dolls there to please a little girl who died and it is said the dolls become alive at night. if you look it up, the pictures are pretty creepy. That was really random but just one thought that came to mind.

Iirc John was inspired by this for El Cucuy's lair in 2013, so he's definitely aware of the concept.

^Look at that. Mostly returning properties.

I mean, at least FvJ is a slightly different concept than NoES or F13. Lol

I only have a problem with TWD. Insidious is the only IP I've wanted at HHN cuz we haven't had it in Orlando yet, and FvJ could be KILLER.

If you guys get these 3, my guess for the other 4 are Krampus, 3D maze (rocker tie in is optional), the non-horror property (no idea. Mad Max?), and either Crimson Peak or an original.

Murdy twitter quote in regards to the Rock Festival hints," there is a SONG that was played at one or more of the MAJOR rock festivals of the 60's that will reveal the theme of the maze..."

So... It's a song that was played at one of these 3 festivals... Monterey Pop, Woodstock, Altamont. That has to make things easier right?

A bunch of standouts from Woodstock...

From the Prison, Hitchcock Railway, The Other Side of this Life (all 3 festivals), Go to the Mirror/Smash the Mirror, There's a Doctor, Christmas, Heaven and Hell, Hobbit, Long Black Veil, Mr. Soul, Long Time Gone, Sea of Madness, Jailhouse Rock, Silhuettes, Voodoo Child, Stand, I Put A Spell on You, Bad Moon Rising, Invocation, I Had a Dream, Soul Sacrifice, Ring of Fire, Evil Ways.

A bunch from Monterey...

Along Comes Mary, Dead End Street, Midnight Special, Paint It Black, Mystery Train, Double Trouble, Dino's Song, Have You Seen Her Face, Combination of the Two, Happy Jack, Alligator/Caution, Cold Rain and Snow, Killing Floor, Wild Thing.

A few from Altamont...

Black Queen, Long Time Gone, Sympathy for the Devil, Six Days on the Road, Gimme Shelter.

I tried not to relist doubles of songs played more than once, and I'm sure there could be a few more that could possibly be made to fit something. However, there are a few that stand out to me already since there are already rumored ips. For instance, From the Prison - TWD, The Other Side of this Life - Insidious/Poltergeist, There's a Doctor - Dr. Who, Christmas - Krampus, I Had a Dream or Dead End Street - Nightmare on Elm Street, Dino's Song - Jurassic World, Combination of the Two or Double Trouble - Freddy vs Jason, Killing Floor - Killing Floor (unlikely), Hitchcock Railway - Hitchcock house of some sort. Even Happy Jack had me wondering if maybe Jack the Clown could possibly make his way out west.

Refresh of Hints... 1 of them is a red herring.

-Hint #1: this song was performed at more than one major rock/pop festival of the 1960's....

-Hint #2 the state (or states) where this maze property takes place is home to all 4 major sports teams (NBA, NFL, MLB, NHL)

-Hint #3 what does a character from the Old Testament, the New Testament and the Star Wars film franchise have in common?

I can match Psycho (Hitchcock Railway) to hints 2 (Arizona) and 3 (telepathic voices being heard/used).

Hint 1 is a bit rough because I can't seem to find a quality setlist for the Altamont Festival.
