OK Bonus Hint for Name Hint 1) The boy band member you're looking for shares the same first name as a famous Oakland/LA Raider

Bonus Hint 2) the broadway musical your looking for won a Tony award but has never been turned into a movie (meaning released in theaters)

Bonus Hint for Name Hint 3. The significant other of the character in a teen comedy is a main character in the film, it's from the 1980s

Bonus Hint for Name Hint 4, the garage rock band from the 60's you're looking for has had one of their songs covered by The Ramones

Jesus H. Christ, Murdy, COME ON.

And one bonus hint is a red herring. Add my name to the "Fuck This Codename" pile.

I'll look into the new clues tomorrow.

But I was thinking about the "outside the box of horror" house... Any chance it could be Trick 'r Treat? For starters, didn't he say before that was a property he wanted to use? Next, although it may be known to many of us, it isn't as mainstream as many of the other big name ips he generally uses. Also, you could even say that this movie is outside your typical box of horror because it was filmed as an anthology, which is generally much less common and was basically the reason why it didn't have it's original theatrical release when it 1st came out. Warner Bros. didn't think a horror anthology would fare well. Finally, he also mentions that it has required working with multiple groups of people for this to get approved. The "friends" could be Legendary Pictures since they are 1 of the production companies. However, there could possibly (I can't say for sure) be issues with getting the rights though because I'm pretty sure Warner Bros. originally had the rights to this film. They are still listed as the films distributors.

No because he says this property is less horror, more well known. And we all know how popular trick r treat is with GP

He said, "It's way outside the typical box of horror". Anthologies are outside the typical box of horror. There are a few, but not many. Trick 'r Treat isn't super popular, but it does have quite a few fans (me being 1 of them). It will gain more fans with each year they play it on the movie channels and hopefully when the 2nd 1 finally comes out.

Oh yeah... I'm pretty sure the band that Murdy is looking for in the new clue is The Trashmen. The Ramones did a cover of Surfin' Bird, which was written and recorded by The Trashmen. They were also from the 60's and were classified as garage rock.

I'll go ahead and say I think name 1 is justin and name 4 is love but idk about the other ones. I think bonus hint 2 is a red herring

I'm sure someone has posted the actually tweet of him saying it's more of a well known film and he's already said numerous times he's waiting for the sequel to do the maze

I don't think it's Trick r Treat because he said 1. that it wasn't necessarily horror, and 2. That we would NEVER be able to guess it. Trick r Treat is something that every HHN fan wants.

Musicals:

So many to choose from, but Tony award winning narrows it down. So does no theater release.

Here's a list:

http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Tony_Award_and_Olivier_Award_winning_musicals

Carbaret, 42nd St., Once on this Island...

Cats is tricky. A film was made in 1998 and was broadcast on television, but was never played in theaters to my knowledge.

My list comes down to 23 Tony winners that were not made into a film.

Edit: With Murdy's 20th century comment, this makes my list now 19, 18 if you could 2000.

What about Justin Timberlake and Justin Tuck? N'Sync is THE boyband everyone thinks of as well as they were formed before the 21st century (BH given from Murdy to me) and when people think N'Sync they always go to Timberlake.

Didn't he say that this player played on the Oakland and LA Raiders? Besides... Justin Tuck isn't really famous... is he??? Maybe he is, in present day terms, but I'm not so sure about legendary status. David Casper played for both teams Oakland & LA and is also in the Hall of Fame.

Remember, Murdy is older than most of us... The Monkees were a very famous old school boy band. Besides... much of the music we've been looking up is from the 60's, right? These guys began in the 60's. You think Murdy is an NSYNC kinda guy?

The "significant other" clue could be so many options, it is totally ridiculous. It was the 80's, every other movie was a teenage comedy. But I'm going to hope it's at least a more popular on, so ...

Ferris Bueller's Day Off - Sloane Peterson

Say Anything - Diane Court

(Maybe, it's been a long time since I've seen this so I'm not sure if they truly get hooked up or not) Summer School - Robin Bishop

Hmmm... So to tie it all up

1 answer: Dr. Who!

a. Davy/David Jones from the Monkees ties to David Casper = David

b. The Wiz (musical) 2nd portion of the clue clue is the red herring

c. Robin Bishop from Summer School (weakest and most likely to be incorrect answer)

d. The Trashmen, Ramones covered their song Surfin' Bird.

Together... I got this.

David Bishop is an author of Dr. Who novels. David from (a) and Bishop from ©.

See here. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/David_Bishop

The Wiz was a musical which was made into a movie (red herring) that had Michael Jackson starring in it. Come to find out a couple years back when they were discussing who was going to replace Matt Smith as the Doctor, Michael Jackson was being considered for the role.

See here... http://www.thetimes.co.uk/tto/arts/tv-radio/article3807591.ece

The Trashmen had me scratching my head a bit, but maybe he jokingly is referring to the Daleks as trash cans. They do like one with an egg beater attached.

Holy crap my eyes hurt from all of this research. After pretty much thorough research, I now present to you all of the 20th Century Broadway musicals that were not made into movies. There are some that were originally movies and some that were TV movies so I just put a question mark next to them. You're welcome:

Wonderful Town
Redhead
Fiorello!
Hallelujah, Baby!
Applause
Company?
Two Gentlemen of Verona?
Raisin
Ain’t Misbehavin’?
42nd Street?
Cats
La Cage
Big River
The Mystery of Edwin Drood
City of Angels
The Will Roger Follies?
Crazy for You
Kiss of the Spider Woman - The Musical??? (Turned into a play)
Passion
Sunset Boulevard (based on movie)
Fosse

Yeah I know what you mean, trying to research this is hard work but it will pay off in the end.
