Honestly Murdy does not make these clues for us to solve them, most of the hints is based on his own knowledge. he said maze properties so hence The Purge has not been a maze at Universal Even if the hints are based on his own knowledge, they still should match up. A part of the Empire clue is a setting well known to horror fans. How many horror movies have a setting that stands out enough to match a clue like that, especially if it isn't any of the well known ips that have been used before? Are there really that many? I guess I have to change my Empire pick to a Dracula house. Here is why... Empire = Ottoman (as stated earlier) Setting is well known to horror fans = Transylvania (obviously) Malcolm's career = Malcolm Graeme did an audible edition of Dracula Famous Musician = Michael Jackson and the album is probably Invincible or Blood on the Dance Floor. Batwithtusks Posted June 9, 2014 Share Posted June 9, 2014 While I was initially a little bummed with the Walking Dead announcement (especially the Terror Tram part), his explanation makes sense and it's still a new house despite the repeat IP. Also, I LOVE hearing announcements this early in the season. The picture saying that there are more houses than ever and Murdy's comment that no repeated IPs in mazes this year sounds amazing. It seems very likely that the Purge will be a house and AWIL fits the clues so well. I'm holding on hope that The Exorcist is the freak out maze, which already sounds like an awesome lineup without the rest of the mazes. I'm pumped! There's 5 codenames, plus a proclaimed original maze already. Another original would fill out the 7 slots nicely, especially if one of the codenamed turns out just to be the HOH. If I remember correctly he said that there's no music maze and that the unnamed maze isn't based on a myth, but didn't say that there were no myths involved in this year. That's 3 years in a grow and I'm sure it'll be here for 2015 and 2016. I'm tired of it! I want a new theme or property to be marketed even though it wont. I want to see new cups and map their both going to have walkers on them. I want variety. But we'll see where this goes. So 5 ips...no repeated themes...unless he's doing some hardcore carny work I have no idea what to expect for most of those. I haven't seen it so I can't comment on how many usable characters/locations there are, but it did make an insane amount of money and could ride off that paranormal high Insidious made from barely nudging out TWD as the best rated maze that year. Insidious is likely next year, which in a way makes The Conjuring time sensitive since this is a year that there would be no other likely paranormal maze, as opposed to next year. The no returning property makes me hesitate on Halloween, but there's always some room for carny room. Obviously Michael Myers is a Halloween icon and has through the roof awareness. Oh yeah I forgot about the legal issues. That could be a bump in the road. But then again Evil Dead had all sorts of bumps in the road to securing that for 2013. ThNdIzNiR Posted June 10, 2014 Share Posted June 10, 2014 (edited) I don't know... if Murdy says, "all of the maze properties to come HAVE NEVER BEEN FEATURED AT THE EVENT" then that should mean that none of the ips used previously will be present this year. If you twist the words and make it so that Halloween 2 doesn't count because technically that title hasn't been used, then in actuality, none of the classic ips have ever been used due to the fact they (the mazes) all had different titles than the movie of their origin. I could be wrong, but I really believe from the way it is written that there will be 4-5 new ips coming to Hollywood. How would you fill a whole maze based off of the movie The Exorcist? It has been awhile since I watched it, but from what I remember, there is only really 1 room worth of setting worthy of capturing in a maze. I'd love to see it back but I'll believe Murdy (wild leap of faith here to trust a carny) when he says the rest of the properties have never been featured at HHN before. Technically he could've said that a long time ago with TWD, since technically they've never done Season 4. However, all he said is the mazes will be all new, which seems true to me. I know on the Orlando maze, they're starting the maze from after the prison, which sounds likely in this case here as well.
