Freak
How do the SOAP Commercial clues fit AWIL like a glove? Did I miss someone's explanation? Here's the codename and it's clues: -Hint #1: This is the red-herring. The title has nothing to do with soap. -Hint #2: David Naughton was featured in commercials before his big role in AWiL. "I'm a Dr. Pepper, you're a Dr. Pepper..." -Hint #3: Jenny Argutter, the actress who played the nurse in the movie, briefly appeared in Captain America: The Winter Soldier. Sounds like enough evidence to support AWiL's arrival, don't you think?
Freak
Something else I forgot to mention: Scarezone voting begins next week! After that, we should see some announcements coming soon! When we get back from the Memorial day weekend break things are going to start heating up for HHN 2014...Here's an early morning tweet fest update for HHN 2014... Hoping to launch our "choose your scare" scare zone fan vote next week.....We've created 3 different concepts for 1 area of the park, generated character artwork & the backstory. You'll get to vote for your fav...This is the first time we've ever let the fans decide the theme for one of the scare zones...It will be hosted on HHN Facebook...It's pretty much a straight popularity contest, The theme with the most votes wins. The area of the park we picked is French street...Obviously we have our opinions of what is truly scary but this time you guys are the judge...You get to decide what's going to scare you. After we launch the fan voting, maze announcement season will begin... Not going to predict a date because I'm always wrong but it's coming Construction should start VERY soon! If Soap Commercial is what I think it is, we should start seeing construction in the JP queue very soon.
ThNdIzNiR
You are correct, the evidence is there to back up AWIL. I'll stick with my Resident Evil guess though. If you do end up with AWIL, I'm sure you won't be disappointed. It was one of the best mazes ever done in Orlando.

Grindhousehero13
TrT is a possibility not a huge possibility since nothing is really time sensitive this year so now's the time to get away with a lot of things but a lot more is more possible than TrT is. ferox
AWIL or another older property is much more likely. For example, in 2012 when AWIL fell through he didn't go for something would be soon time sensitive (Insidious) but instead went with 1974 TCM. Are people really going to get that upset about having the hands down best Halloween themed movie of the past decade at the event? = Yes. People do not like something they do not recognize at an event that is known for big stuff. I would be very happy to see it, especially since the line should be pretty short. Grindhousehero13
exactly my point but I can see one small name in a see of big names hell Murdy got away with MBV in the shadow of Saw and Halloween but then again the maze did not live up to anything -__-. Mr.HHN
Well technically from what I've heard Murdy was forced to do MBV.
ferox
And MBV was during the year the movie was remade. Not the year before.
Grindhousehero13
true but I sure they can get away with it not saying its 100% possible just that it is a possibility

They were going to do the Wolfman, but Lionsgate threatened to pull the plug on Saw unless they promoted MBV. I don't think it was a bad maze at all honestly. When you compare the other "done-at-the-last-minute" maze that was TCM: Saw is the Law, I thought it was pretty good. Besides, it's the first HHN maze I EVER went into so it holds a special place in my heart (No pun intended). If we're all arguing about awareness here, let's look back at House of 1000 Corpses in 2010. Murdy took a huge risk with that property as its awareness was questionable. Heck, it didn't even do that well at the box office when it came out in 2001. You would think it would have been overshadowed by the big ones like Saw, Freddy, and Jason, but it turned out to be the highest rated maze of that year. They even repeated it in 2011. So just because it may have an awareness issue or a time-sensitive issue (Which, like Grind pointed, is probably irrelevant this year), it doesn't mean that it will have an empty line all night. Grindhousehero13
The event only really needs 3 big names to push the event which saves the other 3 for music, lesser known, or original mazes, but to be fair HOTC did have Rob Zombie's name fueling it's fire hell the maze could of been VHS and as long as Rob Zombie's name was somehow plastered on it would have that going for it. (think about it unlike every other maze it had Rob Zombies name in the title of the maze hell 2011 used his face for marketing.)
Jmoney
I went to an advanced screening of Deliver US From Evil tonight and I think that there is some maze material. Some cool environments and scares.
ferox
Yeah, HOTC had one of the (sadly) biggest names in horror pushing it. HOTC didn't have a huge box office, but it was pretty big compared to TRT's box office of $0. You also gotta think that a smaller release would benefit more from the producer's side with a closer to the date release. Cross promotion and all of that. Grindhousehero13
I doubt Deliver Us From Evil will be used, unless it is owned or distributed by universal it's released a little too late to be part of this year also considering it had very little buzz. Everything this year is already locked in and we are only a few weeks away from announcement season and a month away from construction.

Jmoney
How was the movie overall It was a little disappointing, defiantly not as good as Sinister. I thought it relied a little to much on jump scares and was a bit slow at times, but there where some truly creepy moments, I think it's still worth a watch. Oh, and its being distributed by Sony and Open Road, so I'm sure it won't be there.

ferox
Now that I think about it, a pub would make sense in a city setting. But if they are going for an appealing IP on the upper lot it wouldn't make sense for a "bottom of the heap" awareness IP like AWIL so...maybe not. DTH316
I think Freak is right about AWIL being in the JP queue (that's IF its coming). I believe that's the area it was originally designed for. Something damn appealing better be in the The Mummy venue than, or else the lower lot may suffer like the upper lot did last year with El Cucuy. (Which I'm sure is why he specified an APPEALING IP, to make sure people are going and staying on the upper lot.)

Judging only by the number of treatment pages that are listed for each of the mazes, I think it's possible that there won't be a maze in the Mummy venue. AWiL/"Soap Commercial"= 47 pages and "Beauty is only Skin Deep" = 55 pages (The Persian square venue, most presumptuously). Everything else is at least 72+ pages which tells me the Mummy has been ditched for bigger venues on the backlot or in sound stages. Also, I don't think the lower lot crowd will be an issue. People are going to go down there anyway to get to the back lot trams; in fact, they probably WANT them to not stay in the lower lot. People are going to be going in and out of that area to get to and from the upper and back lot.
Ridesandstuff
About the scarezone voting One of the scare zone themes origins go back as far as the 15th century, the others are inspired by incidents in the19th and 20th century...
