ferox
OH NOT ASSIGNING A CODENAME SINCE IT WOULD BE TOO HARD TO GUESS. UNLIKE YOUR OTHER SUPER EASY ONES. I SEE HOW IT IS MURDY. But really this is cool news! I can't wait to see what it is.

ferox
The first thing that popped into my head is cannibals...which may be because TWD is on the mind...but that is just my wild guess.

ferox
And this intersects with the to TWD or not TWD spec for sure... Then again could it be something so obvious that it's the first thing that pops into my head?
Mr.HHN
Then again could it be something so obvious that it's the first thing that pops into my head?It sure wouldn't be that obvious if Murdy said he dint assign a codename because "it would be impossible to guess" but imagine how hilarious it would be if you actually guessed it on your first try! ferox
That would be funny. It could work since cannibalism is a deeply rooted fear and cultural taboo, then again it's not like cannibalism hasn't been touched on many times before at HHN (even with El Cucuy to a degree) so...hmm. ferox
Buuuuut here's the thing. El Cucuy (Humanoid monster, ate children.) La Llorona (Humanoid monster, ate children.) Texas Chainsaw Massacre (duh) I think Alice Cooper GTH had some eyeballs in the chef scene? Wolfman (a stretch, but he's a man that eats humans) Rob Zombie's House of a Thousand Tobe Hooper Ripoffs in 3D Plagiarismvision. Hostel had a cannibalism scene. And it's very possible I'm missing some. It's very much been done...would they go out of the way to make something original if it's been done that much? Not sure. Mr.HHN
Well like you said ferox since this is a possibility that's another point towards no TWD. It seem more likely every day that TWD might actually not return!Oh and Scream 4 Your life had a whole part of the tram be cannibals (Meetstalk: Summer of Blood)
ferox
Maybe. Maybe it's one of those things that they have to have each year and IF (big if) TWD isn't coming they need to fill the void. I imagine it wouldn't be some generic backwoods cannibal "Slaughterhouse" or Jungle Cruise style, if it is cannibalism. It reminds me of this conversation I had with somebody who was watching a true crime show and had a teaser line something to the effect of "murder, rape, torture, and CANNIBALISM." Cannibalism got top billing over rape and torture. Guys like Dahmer and Ed Gein are more infamous than some people who raped and killed 12-14 year old kids. I'm trailing off a bit here but...yeah. I wouldn't be surprised if there's something to do with what appears to be one of the greatest anxieties our culture has.
Mr.HHN
Well if TWD doesn't return and the rumor is true that we get The Exorcist this year I would say that it is enough to fill the massive WD void.
DTH316
I thought Murdy said all the mazes will be branded? So even though its original, there's still something that'll be very recognizable about it. Unless the other 5 mazes are so damn big, it doesn't matter what the 6th one is. ferox
Maybe that crazy new definite new idea opportunity for a (maybe) maze was the original? An original house not based on music or folklore would be certainly be a first. Edit: Someone asked that question, and it's not. His crazy idea needs more time to be fleshed out. More fuel for the not last year fire? Edited May 1, 2014 by ferox

Ridesandstuff
@Alexshowoffical it's not my last year. I don't know where that rumor came from. I do have a finite number of years I said I would do HHN... So where did this rumor come from? Seriously...
Ridesandstuff
@Alexshowoffical it's no secret there's a maze I've been wanting to do for many many years but I'm still no closer to being able to do it... No exorcist for those still holding onto it.

So where did this rumor come from? Seriously... So he will be back next year for the tenth anniversary. That would be a great time to finish the Alice Cooper trilogy. It would also be a good time to do Freddy VS Jason. ;) Eh....I wouldn't count it out just yet. He may not be talking about the Exorcist.

Ridesandstuff
The way he described the property in the tweets is exactly what he said in the past about the exorcist...theatrical rights weren't made at the time etc etc. He can't be talking about Alien since it's being used in DHS on the Great Movie Ride. Freak
No As Above, So Below and Murdy could be talking about Alien... I think that "risky" property Murdy was talking about is Alien. A theory of mine could be that they use AWiL and those puppets, and Murdy may be able to repurpose the puppets for Xenomorph.
