HHN Hollywood 2014 Speculation

Recommended Posts

I really hope we don't get Walking Dead. Just hearing it sounds so boring. I'm biased since I don't even like the show, but seriously. Repeating things has never been a way to get attention. Especially not in a row. Make it a scarezone, maybe, at max. I didn't want it in the first place, but I knew it was inevitable. I was unsatisfied with the repeat, but I'll be just plain disgusted if it's here again.

Just my opinion. Also my opinion, it hasn't brought us anything that stood out above the rest. Idk if it was highest rated by fans these past years. But in terms of actual quality (things hardcore fans like us recognize), neither maze nor terror tram have been spectacular. There's no need for another...

There is something it brought that stands out from the other properties....MONEY and the fact that it brings around 20 something hours of new material each year while even SAW was only able to muster up a 1-2 hour movie worth. But I can understand your opinion since you are one of the very VERY few people who don't like TWD. But you do gotta understand the 2 points I just made that does justify a 3rd not saying that there is a need for it but there was never a need for any of the properties Murdy has done since 2007 we could of gone this whole time without them. The mazes has been pretty damn good and most people on here the hardcore fans are accepting the idea of a 3rd year despite being mostly against repeats. The Terror Tram I agree, zombies on the back lot has grown stale in general. Both were not Spectacular but they were not as bad as Chucky's or Scream4Your.

I don't actually read this section, because, well... I can't go to your area just for hhn.

But, since it appears some believe that your twitter and our event are somehow connected, I figured I'd put this nail in the coffin for you folks so you don't have to waste your time.

Murdy has said, repeatedly, that Alien would be too expensive.

" For example Alien meets everything but the environments\characters would be extremely difficult\expensive to reproduce"

But hey, what does John Murdy know about what it costs to make a HHN maze?

"knew the late Stan Winston and respect his work too much to do Alien without being able to pull off the creatures."

"
Yeah I think Alien isn't possible for a maze. It was featured in the now defunct "Black Box" at Movieland Wax Museum years ago"

"
No we do deals with other studios. Has to be achievable in a live event (i.e. Alien would be impossible)."

So... There's that.

true, I wonder how they could pull off a jungle environment in a few scenes. But the costumes would be the only problem! The jungle setting would be expensive too but they could only use it for a few scenes and the other environments could be from Predator 2. It would be less expensive then Alien.

Ugh. Imagine Predator puppets...

WTF is all the nay-saying about problematic this and too expensive that? have you guys been to HHN before???? They can do anything and do it pretty damn well. If they got the go ahead on Predator (crap my pants) or Alien they would make it in epic fashion. I know everyone wants to be the "ultimate inside HHN person" but c'mon, you dont know their budget or anything pertaining to it and to say guys like this CAN'T do something is insulting.

Have a little faith in our HHN overlords!

I can say we'll see Predator one day at HHN but not this year or next. But just think what if the freak out maze just is Predator ? That really would make anyone Freak Out.

Refer to my previous post. I would literally shit myself.... and if it didnt happen I would make it happen (the shitting).

I'm pretty sure with Orlando being an actual resort and their HHN being around longer then ours they have a bigger budget.

Honestly if we get Alien that would be cool if we don't I could care less.

Now lets just move on from the Alien talk until we get evidence moving away from what Murdy has said "No". We just keep going in circles here.

This risky property Murdy is talking about....taking a shot in the dark here. In Murdy's terms, I assume he's referring to awareness. That's probably what he defines as risky. If that's the case, properties like Hellraiser, the Fog, American Werewolf in London, or even Ghostbusters comes to mind.?

There is this amazing thing called a Budget. They can pull it off but it would cost tons of money to the point where HHN would need to be open a few months to not only make the money back but to make a decent profit. This is primarily a business, not just fan service.

Yeah just because of the success of one house on the opposite coast doesn't mean that it'll be coming to HHNH and be successful here as well. Look at Alice Cooper, he was a big hit here at Hollywood, but not so big in Orlando.

Not sure if Alice Cooper is the best comparison. Adapting music and adapting a film are vastly different processes especially when you want to do it and when marketing makes you do it. I'm pretty sure Murdy thinks AWiL can be successful here given it was coming in 2012 before Texas Chainsaw Massacre.

You're making me want Predator. Incredibly unlikely but it would be cool nonetheless.

"These next couple tweets have nothing to do with horror but I feel compelled to say something about the passing of Harold Ramis..If you don't know Harold, his films are the comedy classics of my generation...Stripes, Caddyshack, Ghostbusters and so many more..."

I seriously don't understand how Ghostbusters keeps getting thrown in the mix. Like seriously, its making me mad. Y'all need to stop it lol. I will let go of Alien, but y'all need to let go of Ghostbusters!

Risky tends to mean content wise is too disturbing. I believe he used similar words when describing La Llorona and El Cucuy.
