Kurseddragon
Shakira also says Waka Waka in one of her songs. She totes has a maze coming.
AsylumSB
^^Don, I suppose it could work. It's as good as any guess, and entertaining to boot! While you could develop a unique AWIL attraction for Hollywood, the puppets could get re - used with great effect and possibly save on the creative budget (unless shipping would kill the budget). DTH316
Yeah, the sets for Alien wouldn't be that extreme. Its a claustrophobic movie by design. There'd be maybe one or two big rooms with the space jockey and the eggs, which is basically the same room. Heck, it could even be the first room since that's where the trouble starts. Easily accomplishable on a soundstage (since uh... ya know, that's how they filmed it). Imagine entering the SS to hundreds of eggs and then the Space Jockey, then entering the Nostromo. Kinda like the exterior pre-scene to Sabbath but maybe a bit bigger. Everything else after that would be standard.

Believe me, no one would be more surprised than me if I'm right. I'm just having fun participating in the speculation this year after lurking on these boards the last few years. I also kind of wondered if Orlando would ever share props with Hollywood and vise versa. It would save a ton of money over making the same props twice. ferox
I think that you had the first spec that actually followed the rules of the clue, so there's that.
JDW
I don't know if this is old news but it says Murdy is not likely to be leaving the event this year. Also had some other things. Sorry if it's been discused I don't get over here too often but I thought it was interesting.
Freak
I don't know if this is old news but it says Murdy is not likely to be leaving the event this year. Also had some other things. Sorry if it's been discused I don't get over here too often but I thought it was interesting. The question asked could have easily been interpreted in a "carney" way. Someone asked "Is this your last year?" with the reply of not likely or something like that. This could be his last year at HHN, but not his last year at Universal. StraightEdge
It's not his last year as creative director.
Freak
I have a theory about this "mystery property" that Murdy was talking about....you know, the one he said that was so risky that he could get fired over it? Right before Murdy was going to lock the slate, maybe Murdy's intention was to bring back Insidious before he got that phone call. So whatever that "outrageous" and "risky" property is that he's talking about, I think it's going in Jurassic Park overflow.
AsylumSB
Or could a "risky" property be defined as one to replace the ever popular IP known as The Walking Dead?
ferox
Why would anything "replace" TWD? There's an assumption being made that he's even talking about maze properties. Edited April 14, 2014 by ferox
AsylumSB
If Universal had a choice to pick up a property, and had both Insidous and TWD returning, which one would be more of a risk to drop? Hypothetically speaking, that is.
ferox
That would make every non-HOH maze the replacement and potentially risky. Unless you are talking about a zombie maze or AHS, neither of which fit the update in the least. Read the update again. Finishing the treatment for maze #4 today, was just about the lock down the rest of the maze deals when something unexpected happened...Every once in a while an opportunity comes along out of the blue...this one is soooo outrageous I want to go for it...decisions, decisions..This would definitely be a 1st for HHN...something so insane no one would ever attempt it...risky as hell...probably will get me fired! Mr.HHN
What that tweet makes me think is that there is a scene involved that is risky to do and could get him fired because it is really out of the R rated level (Rape, Racial or Religious discrimination etc.) Idk something that would really offend people enough to get him fired. mystiquephreeq
Figured I would share this tweet here. @UniStudios: .@HorrorNights is on Snapchat. Add us: HorrorNights http://t.co/fX4MUhjbhY I have no idea what Snapchat is or does (I'm old and not hip to the new fangled tech ). But figured it may be a clue outlet others can use.
Grindhousehero13
yeah if the choice was between Insidious and TWD I would go with the one that has been and still sells a Sh*t ton of merchandise.

JDW
apparently these a horrornights snap chat account that will offer clues oh I thought he was going to send us nude pics... lol mystiquephreeq, Snapchat allows you to send a pic that is only seen while your finger is on the screen... theoretically but there are plenty of ways around it. The kids today use it primarily to send send naked pictures they think will go away. But seeing how the creators are misogynistic pigs. I highly doubt it.

LOL Just a hypothetical, general question. Does not necessarily have to be related to the clues. Some of the more recent spec noted the return of both WD and Insidious. I just don't see the return of 3 properties (including HOH). Something would have to go (maze wise) and I think some would be surprised if Insidious returned over TWD. ferox
It's not related to the clues, but you're using clues (something is risky) to look into a situation not related to clues? If one returns, it's going to be the one that's going to be more popular as of HHN time, has something to promote, and has a bunch of new material to use. Which is TWD. DTH316
2010... 4 IPs returned. Never say never, y'all. NOES, F13, Saw, HOTC. Plus HOH. So its like you'd be getting nothing new at all buahaha. Edited April 15, 2014 by DTH316
ferox
The risky idea could be something to do with HOH. The last major risk was UMR which paid off pretty well. Also if a risk is going to be taken, it's probably best to take it with the maze that gets the least attention anyway.
Kurseddragon
He hasn't said any clues are repeats yet, right? Or hinted anything yet? There's a HHN sign that says "Food to Die For" in the dispatch room downstairs. Fun to look at every time I go there.
