foodstampsFTW
I wouldn't believe this considering that he says that he knows its john murdy's last year, but if this is the lineup, I think it wouldn't be that bad
AsylumSB
If that's the line-up, count me disappointed. That would be a crazy step backwards if they went from having five new mazes to only three and a half new mazes. Trick r Treat, Purge, and Exorcist better be incredible houses to make up for that. I try to look at things from a larger perspective.....the awesome Insidious maze returns, Walking Dead continues to draw people to the event, Trick 'R Treat triumphantly becomes an HHN property, the ultimate wish list item, The Exorcist, comes to life, and the always overachieving House of Horrors continues to not worry about the competition. And that is not even considering the Scarezones (some of which were really good last year), or a larger Purge wold coming to life. Lastly, there is a template for how to enhance the VIP attraction. Each of these individually may be just "OK" but collectively it becomes a great lineup! Or so I think. Even if the list is bogus, I can apply this rationale to almost any combination of properties. StraightEdge
Idk why TWD/Purge takes over the terror tram, mazes, scare zone and a backlot experience. We could get other properties if both of each property ONLY got a maze or terror tram for itself. I've never been to HHN so I don't mind if the same exact Insidious maze returning nor can I complain. But if I find out this got passed up for a Alien or Predator maze. Then f*ck me. Edited April 3, 2014 by StraightEdge
DTH316
Y'all didn't think I'd actually leave, did you? Didn't Murdy say he was basically freaking out on how to design costumes for a certain property? Certainly that'd apply to Alien. Alien and The Exorcist would be a great marketing opportunity. They both are usually in the top 5 scary films list. "The Scariest Movies of All Time Come To Life." Edited April 3, 2014 by DTH316

Please someone make sure if he actually said that, cause if he did we defiantly got Alien cause what other property would fit that. I still think "Beauty is only skin deep" is Alien. StraightEdge
why would Murdy not want to do this? Best maze he could have hands down.

Mr.HHN
We're closer than ever so it might show up this year StraightEdge! I think it is like a 50/50 with The Exorcist which we will at least get one of those two which is fine either way although I do love Alien and I hold memories of it and blockbuster dear in my heart I do prefer the Exorcist as it is me. The first horror movie I watched the only movie to truly make me feel scared which I don't really do while watching movies. But either way one of the two is coming and I'm fine with either!
StraightEdge
TWD & AMC are bringing Horror Nights a lot of money right? And the event gets more money every year from it sucess so hopefully we get Alien this year and if not then the next few years but soon. Exorcist ain't expensive but I guess the rights are the problem.
ferox
There's no doubt that he would love to do it, but it would be incredibly expensive. Back to the matter of the supposed leaked maze lineup...if your dad really is a close friend to Murdy don't say that out loud. That could cause things to be awkward between Murdy and your dad and is generally just a "dick move." He has pretty tight lips normally so it wouldn't be hard to narrow it down, and your dad will probably put you on time out or something. Also, the slate hasn't been set yet. He could have heard one possible lineup for HHN, but that won't end up being what happens. HHNOrlando was leaking false info to employees to see who was breaking their contract. It's possible he believes what he is saying, but he's just wrong.
salas369
Just finished watching The Purge Anarchy and all im going to say is that it is ALOTTT better than the first one and there is a lot of material to work with for a maze:)
salas369
I can also see the purge working for the backlot experience a lot more than the walking dead..
Ridesandstuff
based on the trailer, id actually really like a Purge Backlot Experience.
DTH316
Yeah, the new trailer looks wayyyyy better. Lots of outside stuff I'm confused on how it'd work in a maze, but at least I'm actually tempted to see the movie instead of roll my eyes with the fake out happy Neon Trees beginning. Alien no doubt would be expensive, but cmon. Black Sabbath had some crazy, big environments. As did ACGTH. There's only a need for one or two big rooms, just like those mazes. Everything else is rather bare, which saves some money on set for costumes. Heck, xenomorphs would probably only be introduced half way into the maze. They did many variations of The Thing, giant kid eating monsters in La Llorona, crashed helicopters and tanks -- but ALIEN IS IMPOSSIBLE BUDGET-WISE? Use that AMC, Insidious, Saw and Freddy Krueger money, dammit! Edited April 3, 2014 by DTH316
Ridesandstuff
Taking a late night crack at Malcolm going off of what Mr. HHN found about Micheal Jackson's obsesssion with the X-men.. one of MJ's songs Man in the Mirror. For the Malcolm part I have to kind of loose connections Malcolm Reed- A fictional character from the Star Trek series who existed in a Parallel Universe called the Mirror Universe Malcolm Young- ACDC guitarist. Russell Coleman was one of ACDC's former drummers (a short lived member but still). The surname of the family from Oculus is Russell. Maybe Malcolm is Oculus. I could be mistaken. but I think at one point, Murdy said Malcolm was something we probably havent seen...which would apply to Oculus Edited April 3, 2014 by Ridesandstuff
StraightEdge
What if we got Walker go go's? Has that ever happend ? HahaThe only 2014 movie I want to see at HHN is The Purge: Anarchy or Paranormal Activity but that's not what everyone else wants lol
foodstampsFTW
Just finished watching The Purge Anarchy and all im going to say is that it is ALOTTT better than the first one and there is a lot of material to work with for a maze:) Do you mean you watched the trailer or the actual movie
salas369
I saw the actual movie last night. They were having a free screening for reviews and what not. The movie was not 100 percent finished but for the most part was complete. There are a lot of scenes in the movie that just scream hhn. There is one part that I didn't see in the trailer but is in the movie that fits perfectly in a maze.

DTH316
Well it was no longer April 1st, so I didn't know if it would still apply haha APRIL FOOLS! Anyway, I wish I could dig up the tweet about Murdy worrying about how to pull off the characters (I'm SURE we've mentioned it in here though).

Mr.HHN
The costumes for the Exorcist wouldn't be a challenge. I ask myself if Murdy one day got the rights to both Alien and The Exorcist I think he would do Exorcist over Alien but who knows.
