Ridesandstuff
The abbreviation for Avon is AVP. Sound familiar? Decent guess, but I have my doubts since he said costumes like that would be to expensive. I still have a good feeling were on the right track with the make up/ding dong connection. StraightEdge
I can see TWD back as a maze and backlot experience. I really doubt will get TWD again on Terror Tram, I think will get The Purge on that along with a scare zone. But tbh that's still lazy. I wish for The Purge gets the backlot experience and TWD gets a scarezone instead. Insidious is not returning. I can see it next year but not the same exact maze this year. He'll probably do a property similar to Insiidous (The Conjuring, etc.) but I think AWIL has a chance with Orlando having it last year and Murdy already having it planned out for 2 years. This is my 2 cents: The Purge Terror Tram/Scare Zone The Walking Dead Maze/Backlot Experience American Werewolf In London FREAK OUT MAZE - Exorcist, Alien, Predator The Conjuring or AHS Original maze or maze we never expected
aam29290
If he's going by time sensitive mazes then we can eliminate The Exorcist, and I just don't want the walking dead anymore, it's getting to old, it's the same thing, just zombies everywhere, but we'll see, I'M still excited. And I'm guessing we'll get AHS until everybody loves that show, maybe around this season it might get big and well-known with the freak show. Ridesandstuff
^not necessarily. Time sensitivity would usually apply to more recent films. The Exorcist is recognized by most people to be the scariest horror film of all time. The Exorcist would defiantly pull in customers.
StraightEdge
Old films Murdy really wants to do is Alien, Exorcist, Tricm R Treat, IT & some other famous properties.
Mr.HHN
No AVP is not literary Aliens vs Predator but a hint to Alien.
StraightEdge
Murdy said in January that it would be really expensive to do so. But who knows maybe he got it with the upcoming Alien: Isolation game and everything.
aam29290
Which maze was thw maze that had a treatment of 57 pages? MAZE 1, 2 OR 3? Whichever one it was I have a feeling that's HOH bc that always has 55-60 pages ?
AsylumSB
One thing we learned is every time we think there is a pattern we get proven wrong For much of this, I agree. However, the fact is that EVERY highest rated maze HAS returned. Don't forget time sensitivity could work exactly the opposite: Get the property now while you can. There is no guarantee a film scheduled for release next year will automatically become a maze. Deals could fall through or never materialize to begin with. I have yet to be disappointed with any event, even with the formula of repeats. Edited April 2, 2014 by AsylumSB
Mr.HHN
I would guess the costume for the aliens weren't be as expensive or hard to replicate with large amounts of cash unlike the predator which costs an arm and a leg. There was a dude at Monsterpalooza with a Xenomorph costume which looked really cool and would blend in amazing in the dark in a maze and it dosen't look that hard to replicate. I'll try to post a picture later so y'all can see it.

Freak
Anyone see TwoTonTick's status update on the home forum page? I doubt what he's saying is actual...then again, there was a random YouTuber named "Murdy lies" who nailed 2011. I remember him.
StraightEdge
ends with John Murdy. I am confident of the line-up for this year's HHN Hollywood. Universal Monsters Remix, Trick 'r Treat, The Exorcist, Insidious, Walking Dead, and the Purge (Going in 747). Also, Walking Dead Terror Tram will be returning and there will be a Purge backlot experience. You are welcome in advance. :-)

ferox
TRT and Insidious would both make much more sense next year...I'm not buying this random dude who can't figure out how to post.
Ridesandstuff
were is this post? Nvm found it. Yea it doesnt seem like a good source since Murdy is all about timing. He held of on Insidious in previous years because He knew it would be better to use around the time of the sequel. Why would he do the opposite and do TRT and Insidious this year when it would be better to use them in 2015? ferox
TWD would require a ton of research, as it is likely going to be the main draw and be the largest (space wise) maze.

I feel you as I didn't like Insidious 1, but you gotta realize there is a hell a lot of more people who want TWD and would pay to see the 3rd installment maze and AMC does help out a lot, we would'nt of had the back lot experience nor a sound stage maze if it was not for AMC & TWD. Every time we think of a formula it get's proven broken the next year, also all the repeats before Walking Dead have been movie properties and had normaly been kinda terrible the second go around minus TCM: BIB, and I didn't mean it Insidious will be a maze in '15 I'm just saying it's a better and smarter move to wait to try to get it then...and I'm sure with James Wan and Blum wouldn't say no at this point if the movie remains on track. TwoTonTick
Alright, I'm finally able to post on here. Now I can share what I know. So as I mentioned in my ststus update, my father is really good friends with John Murdy; I was even able to talk to him a few times. Murdy has only told more about the content of the event to him. Now that my identity can be secret, I'll post the line-up again. UMR III Trick r Treat (Persian) The Exorcist (Mummy) Insidious return Walking Dead return (Half partially the same, half off if season 5) The Purge in 747 accompanied with the backlot experience. The reason why Murdy isn't waiting until 2015 for TrT and the Insidious repeat is because this is his final year as creative director. He wants to do TrT and the Exorcist, two of his passion projects, before he retires. He wants to repeat Insidious, regardless of timing, to have sufficient funds to do TrT and Exorcist the way he wants to.
ferox
If this guy is legit, that does sound like a good lineup. Still a few red flags...like the Persian IP that is supposed to be appealing to the GP having the lowest awareness of any of the IPs. I said before that The Purge would make sense as a soundstage maze, but I'm still skeptical of the claims.
AsylumSB
It's too bad Triple T tried to post this on April 1st, otherwise, there might be a wee bit more credence to the claims. Regardless of the legitimacy of the post, It is a great lineup! Still have trouble getting excited for anything "Purge" related. I have no doubt of the quality of this if developed by HHN but not much of a fan of the first film or the premise of the films. It is going to be difficult choice this year.....travel plans made for Orlando. Hopefully I will be able to attend both (especially if this lineup comes to fruition). Freak
If that's the line-up, count me disappointed. That would be a crazy step backwards if they went from having five new mazes to only three and a half new mazes. Trick r Treat, Purge, and Exorcist better be incredible houses to make up for that.
