HHN Hollywood 2014 Speculation

Recommended Posts

AHS, Insidious, Dead Space were all rumored to be at USO for a while though but I doubt there getting Trick R Treat. And For Hollywood, we all know The Purge IS coming to Horror Nights in one form or way this year so this April Fools pranks are wierd haha

If HHNO gets AHS and we don't I will seriously cry, I'm tired of TWD, I don't even like that show. :(

It could be an April Fool's joke as it begins in an hour and a half, but c'mon. That'd be cheating.

I'm sure it is a prank it's way too early for them to even be thinking website, plus the name Fear The Night....I'm pretty sure that's the name one of us came up with

still waiting for Freaks or DTH's Prank

Well prepare for Walking Dead.

Welcome to the forums!

Thank you, I was on this forum with another acoount but forgot my password so i just connected it with facebook. And for the "appealing property" in the upper lot I can picture The Exorcist in the Persian Court area.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ding-Dong!_The_Witch_Is_Dead

to bad its not AHS...this would fit as well as some of the other hints

The hints could possibly fit TRT. Featuring it in 2015 would make more money though so i doubt it

maybe this as well since Murdy does a lot of music references http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ding_Dong,_Ding_Dong

I'm pretty confident about both American Horror Story & American Werewolf In London will be at this years event.

I'm pretty confident you'll be disappointed. Resident Evil and AHS are out just because of Walking Dead. As much as I want AWiL, I don't think it's happening. They'll use that venue for either Insidious again or the Conjuring.

Well, the only thing I could think of was Avon (remember the commercials, "Ding, Dong, Avon Calling!") and Milla Jovovich did an ad campaign for the company. So.....Resident Evil? The only other item that came to mind was Stratford-upon-Avon (Shakespeare's birthplace) and noticed the only two things that were connected were The Haunting (from the 60's) and the Teletubbies. Oh, the Horror!!!

The Conjuring or return of Insidious, maybe?

Just thought of something that could relate the ding dong thing to one of the hints

Hint #2: the code name "Beauty is only skin deep" refers to the BUSINESS of Beauty products..

Correct me if I'm wrong, but don't Mary Kay consultants go to your house personally? maybe that company has some sort of connection to the property

Edit: I think i found something...

Mary Kay Ash (the lady who founded the company) went to Reagan High School...wouldn't be surprised if its still a red herring though

Guys, its been a great few years, but unfortunately I'm leaving the forum. Since I've been at my new school, the workload has been insane so i have to trim any and all distractions - this being one of the major ones. Spending hours searching codenames and speculating is really cutting into my grades. I still care deeply about the event but I've come to realize that it doesn't matter what's coming, I'm still going to HHN twice a year, every year, for life. Its made me see that speculating is a bit pointless. Its fun for a moment, but really, what are we accomplishing? "We guessed it first" does nothing and its not like sports where we can bet on the outcomes. I have to come to terms with this and try and repeat that over and over again to stay away. I'm sure I'll come back after properties are announced and chime in and ofcourse give my review, but my speculating days are over. Its been fun y'all!

Insidous again. Is that your April Fools day joke. I know it got really high ratings but I doubt well get again this year? If anything will get The Conjuring but Insidious really?

Absolutely not, SE! No April Fool's silliness for me. Insidious was the top rated maze from 2013 and as far as I can recall, all top rated mazes have repeated since 2009.

DTH, realizing the date, you have pulled off some great tricks before. But, if true, take care. I can only hope to get to 520 posts. Hee Hee.

Yeah we better get insidious back! That wouldn't be fair that every year from 2009 the top rated maze comes back, but TWD wasn't top rated and it's still going to come back -_- that's really messed up.

That would totally be lazy for Horror Nigts to bring backTHREE houses from last year (UMR, Insidious, and Walking Dead). That's not even considering if they'll keep the Terror Tram and/or the backlot experience the same because of Walking Dead. HHN, choose Insidious or Walking Dead to bring back. Having only three new mazes out of seven haunted attractions would make me gravely disappointed, but I could see HHN doing that.

Until I see a clear indication that the pattern will be broken, Insidious would remain on my A list. And while it might be all business strategy to keep Walking Dead, I am dropping it down a notch just because the formula has not repeated thrice (consecutive).

Until last year there wasn't more IP scarezones than originals, a backlot experience, a soundstage post-hiatus, a repeated HOH, or a repeated TT. Things change due to circumstance. Like how Insidious wouldn't be time sensitive (important) this year but will be next year. Or how TWD is the most popular horror anything since HHNH, and how TWD repeats are not like other repeats since there's fresh source material.

TWD was HIGHLY rated.

One thing we learned is every time we think there is a pattern we get proven wrong, besides like Ferox said Murdy is pushing "Time Sensitive" issue for the last few years and him and him bringing it up at Monsterpalozza pretty much means things we've wanted in the past are not worth bringing up at this time and he wants to silence most of the "How come we are getting *Blank* while we could of done Cabin In The Woods (example)" tweets when maze #1 is announced. Also It would be a huge mistake boarder line stupid idea to bring back Insidious and not TWD this year like I've mention before TWD is top dog right now most of the general public are expecting it to come back and will pay to their last dollar to see it again and the tweet we will see is "Why is the walking dead not back?" plus who knows where TWD's popularity level will be at that time next year besides TWD has not been a repeat they were two different mazes. Insidious on the other hand would come back the exact same maze and is far from time sensitive, but if Murdy waits till next year it becomes hot again and has new material to draw from.

lets not do this lol.
