HHN Hollywood 2014 Speculation

Recommended Posts

I discovered that MALCOM Seagrave did the score for Phantasm. That would have challenging environments, and pretty ambitious to say the least. Don't you think?

This is what I love about HHN speculation! Even if Phantasm is not one of the properties, these coincidences sure do make it interesting.

Great connection, Freak!

we will know this time next week but since it's the season finally and they arrived there the end of the episode before I would assume something has to happen.

I don't know how to set up the spoiler thing on my phone so

SPOILER! SPOILER! SPOILER!

If the show still is following within the footsteps of the comics. Terminus should be the home to a group in the comics known as the hunters. The hunters is a group that goes around that hunts down groups of survivors and eats them. I believe terminus is a way to just bring people to them instead. I could be wrong, but just seems fitting to have it be a place worst than Woodbury.

So I've had this thought of what if The Purge took over all of HHN like Walking Dead did last year at Orlando. It would be set up into the zones we regularly have but from what I've noticed from the movie is that each mask represents a different gang. We can use the wealthy high class gentlemen from last year in the entrance or the Satanic Purgers with the dude with the God mask being the barker. There's also dudes with riot suits which seem to be from the government and the ones with the creepy half skull face on them. What would you guys feel if that were to happen? I'd say it would implement that feeling of nowhere is safe and in a way return to having a theme present at the event.

Someone stupid will think it's an actual purge and kill someone.

If it didn't happen in the Purge scarezone last year, I really don't think it will be a problem at the event.

I agree with Mr. HHN that I'm think the Purge will play a bigger role in the event this time. I could see Murdy bring back that the scarezone and then have a backlot experience. Maaaaybe the Terror Tram as well. After seeing how large the environments are from the trailer, I have to wonder if the Purge will be the sound stage maze? The facade could be the state hall with the mayor's dead body hanging out in chains, and then go from there.

I think ferox brought it up earlier, but the band X (A song sung by a member of the "X-Men") sang a song called, "Los Angeles".

Motorcycles on the backlot experience! *sign* who are we kidding. But seriously how cool would that be lol. Anyone going to Monsterpalooza?

Hey, if they do have a Purge backlot experience, I wonder if Murdy will be wanting to expand on the digital projection that he used for the Insidious VIP experience? That'd be the ideal place to do that.

They also had one called Sex and Dying in High Society, which could relate to it.

The more I see of The Purge 2, the more I think it could be a good maze. There was also a pretty reliable source on the Orlando forum saying The Purge is coming to Orlando, so I think it is Malcolm.

Anyway, yeah I'm going to Monsterpalooza tomorrow. Woo!

Unfortunately, IMO, whichever gets TT is getting the short end of the "reality immersion" stick. Backlot experience is way more immersive in putting you in the setting. TT is kinda silly in comparison by making you start in Whoville. The hotel could be any hotel, but the mansion is too damn iconic. Oddly, the most realistic and urban part of that attraction is the WOTW set.

Both TWD and Purge fit extremely well in the backlot experience. Both don't really work for the TT but they could easily put them in there anyway (if they can for TWD for two years, they definitely can Purge).

With that said, 2 years of TWD TT is enough. Put Purge there for now. And if it becomes a staple, yearly horror franchise, then maybe it can stick around for 2015 and be put in the backlot experience than... unless Resident Evil comes to town. Then I don't give two shits about the Purge. You give me my Raccoon City gosh dammit.

Alien: Isolation releases October 7th...

Alien is a property fans would "FREAK OUT" over. It's been highly requested and Murdy has been wanting to do it.

1. He finally got the rights

2. They figured out how to do it like AWIL at Orlando

3. THERE'S SOMETHING TO PROMOTE!

Guys ...

I always wondered if we get an Alien maze, would it be on Alien or the sequel or both. I know a maze can be made for both each. But it seems like Murdy would make it on the first film since it's horror while Aliens is more action based.

I forgot about the Alien game. Definitely seems like a huge possibility this year now. The release date, the material being based on the first film which I largely assume the maze would be too... please Murdy... the timing is so perfect.

This would be a pretty fully loaded and exciting event, in my eyes:

The Exorcist

Alien

The Walking Dead (Season 4 Backlot Experience and Maze)

The Purge (Terror Tram and Scarezone)

Notes from the talk:

No, still not going to do an upcharge maze. Never even considered it.
Upper lot is going to have an "appealing IP."
Stephen King is still a jerk and won't share his IPs.
The new contest is to design a scarezone.

An appealing IP on the upper lot? Interesting. I assume they'll have to cram it into the Persian Square.

Minor TWD spoilers:

My guess is we won't see Terminus in the maze. Considering nothing horrific happened there. I mean, there's one room that'd work... but that'd be an awfully lot of build up just for one room. Unless they take some creative lisence...
