HHN Hollywood 2014 Speculation

Recommended Posts

Maybe John made the hints extremely vague BECAUSE you guessed them all right. But I doubt that he reads this.

Plus it will be at LEAST 14% right, since we know AWIL

Murdy reads the page!

AWIL seems like a pretty sure thing at this point... but 14% is pretty bad lol

You... are going to be so severely disappointed since you won't listen to us lmao

This year is a wild goose chase in trying to figure out these properties. At this point, it's wise to just sit back and wait for the announcements instead of trying to figure out codenames that don't have enough hints to them to be able to be figured out.

I'm content knowing last year we had 100% right on spec and that we did it at least once on these boards. I guess it's only fitting that this year we're just...0% right lol

Michael Myers! I'm telling ya! It's got to be Rob Zombie's version then. That would REALLY be an appealing IP and would get around the "franchise" block.

EDIT: Guys, he said PROPERTY. Would that be the same as a FRANCHISE?

Not really. It's still apart of the Halloween Franchise as a whole.

Then Rob Zombie's Halloween it is.

I really don't think so... the fact he said all the announcements after The Walking Dead (which has been featured in the past but based on different seasons) have never been at the event means these I.Ps have never at the event in any shape or form thus, no reboots, remakes, or sequels.

Empire has been Dracula Untold since the beginning of June (even earlier for some), why has it changed?

Why is Universal going to pass up an opportunity to do a house based on 1 of their biggest horror icons ever pretty much?

Empire has never been fully confirmed to be coming for Hollywood from those with sources. Empire was an easy fit for it but as you can see it fits with other I.Ps as well. Even if they didn't have it in Hollywood that wouldn't be considered "passing it up" since it would still be at Universal's Flagship park.

We already have a Vampire maze...........plus Dracula Untold looks as ridiculous as "I, Frankenstein"

A property is the entire shabam, including characters, dialogue, sound, etc.. So yes, even Rob Zombie's Halloween is apart of the same property. Think of intellectual property as "an idea." As in, I own that ENTIRE idea. Meaning, the entire franchise.

I agree. I still can't see it happening.

I think this is what will happen. Orlando is getting it but not Hollywood. That's just what I'm thinking. People are connecting Dracula to Empire mostly because Orlando is getting it. We already have a crapload of shared properties. I think we'll have one more (AVP -- which I'm doubtful of as well) and that'll be it.

You forgot 2010. Property doesn't have to include a remake.

For what it's worth guys, I was looking at the soundtrack for Rob Zombie's Halloween 2, and I noticed something interesting. MALCOM McDowell yelled, "MICHAEL MYERS IS F*&%^#@! DEAD!" I think that was in the hospital where Murdy had to get rid of it due to space limitations.

I don't think people are assuming Empire is Dracula totally because of Orlando. It could also have something to do with the fact that the clues match and it is a 100 million dollar Universal movie that is being released while HHN will be running.

If you want, go back to the spec. Murdy only said the mazes were ALL NEW, which was actually TRUE. He never said they were new PROPERTIES. Don't make up lies Freak!!!

Should have clarified. Yes, he said that, but I think he would have considered the properties all on their own. I mean, they are REmakes, implying that they are movies starting anew.

Well, is this a proven thing that must happen every year or has happened at least more than once (in HOLLYWOOD)? There's no evidence to back up this hypothesis :-P

I think the most IMPORTANT thing to consider is Murdy isn't going to make a maze out of a movie that doesn't fit.
