aam29290 Posted July 20, 2014 Share Posted July 20, 2014 WE DONT KNOW YET!!!!!! and prop are not being reused at least not 50% I do not think an AVP maze or a predator maze would be good personally but you got to stop basing maze quality on the movie scaring you or not... example Insidious does not scare me, I find the red face demon laughable even...but the maze scared the living sh*t out of me and out of the past 8 years I have gone I can say is the scariest maze I have been in especially the red face demon in there. I feel like they skipped a lot this year to save it for "timing" for next year. Been thinking about that a lot this year... Hmmmm....very soon I think being the CD for ten years would look good, don't you think? Murdy also mentioned that this year will be effects heavy; in fact, he will not be working on VIP this year because of all of the effects he has to work on. He also tried to work with Guillmero del Torro but he's really busy this year. Also, someone asked about Halloween and he replied with this: Probably reading too much into it, but could he have accidentally slipped that he's working on another one? (Puts up shield). Oh, and Grindhouse can breathe a sigh of relief. Murdy said that since Freddy and Jason have been done three times, he doesn't feel like he needs to go back to them anytime soon. Well like he said both Orlando and Hollywood know what eachother are doing so Orlando getting Halloween may have got him thinking about when he will bring back. Maybe next year perhaps? ferox Posted July 20, 2014 Share Posted July 20, 2014 The maze has GREAT environments to work with from the movie. I don't understand the stigma if "the movie sucked, the maze will be awful". I believe if Murdy had to make a maze out of the Apparition, they could make a good maze out of it if they wanted to. Not that I ever had the pleasure of going in, but the videos from the early TCM houses look great. And I hate the remake. I thought Insidious was an "eh" movie, but loved the maze. AvP was pretty good (I've only seen the unrated cut of it, so it the theatrical cut was awful I can't say) and although Requiem was mostly awful there's a few scenes that (if used) could be absolutely killer. AvP is filled with amazing sets (the movie takes place in a maze) and there's still all that good chest bursting second mouth shooting Predator blading ugly motherfucker face having goodness from two of the greatest science fiction horror franchises of all time. Insidous 3, The Conjuring, Resident Evil, Poltergeist, Friday The 13th, AHS, other properties he's gonna want to do (Exorcist) He just said he felt like he doesn't need to do another F13th maze so not so sure about that one coming next year then.
