HHN Hollywood 2014 Speculation

Recommended Posts

If the official site posts it, then what's the hold up on Universal's part? They swear like if they post it at 3:29 PM, 41 seconds in to that minute, on Tuesday, when the moon is crescent, the wind is moving 3 mph, and there's 8% humidity in the air, that people will care more or something.

People are more inclined to notice things when they are announced at the right time. News cycle and all of that. It causes some annoyance, but it is a real thing when you have marketing teams promoting an event of this scale.

Remember when you said that Orlando's sources said FDTD wasn't coming, which was something you decided they said because they didn't not say it? There's a reason these people need to do everything they can to fight confusion and misinformation.

Empire = Vampire so that's probably Untold.

Beauty is only skin deep rhymes with "I like to eat sheep". Who eats sheep? Chupacabra. Murdy mentioned myths. Skin deep = chupacabra maze.

But that's just my guess I've never been wrong before.

Beauty rhymes with Booty WE'RE GETTING A STRIPPER MAZE !!!!

Guys, I would write Dracula out of our speculation pot. If we were going to get it, it would've been in House of Horrors. These points were already brought up many times, but why would we have two vampire mazes and two mazes that take place in a castle and a cave? I'm very certain Empire is Ouija.

We're all arguing over what Empire is while Murdy is getting drunk with Jason Blum laughing at how The Purge Anarchy has never been at HHN before..

I think it's a safe bet that Empire will be a paranormal maze. Unless the original is paranormal (which I doubt), then Empire is going to be a paranormal house.

Myths and traditions = Scarezones not Mazes.

Why does there have to be a paranormal/ghost house?

Becuase it is written in the Ten Commandments the Haunt Gods left for us. They are actually behind the bas reliefs on the Universal Plaza Tower and only appear during Halloween Horror Nights. :D

Oh alright... I didn't know that.

But Ouija... Really???

I might be able to buy into the idea that the Conjuring could be a house if someone tied the clues just a tad more thoroughly, but I'm pretty sure nothing would convince me of Ouija. We mine as well use Witchboard for our spec too while we're at it then.

I think the Conjuring has a strong possibility with the Annabelle movie coming out. But Murdy could wait next year too to use the second Conjuring film as maze bait too. (same situation with Insidious and TrT next year.)

Could we possibly get 2 paranormal houses next year or even 3 (Insidious, Conjuring & Poltergeist?)

I think it has more to do with how insanely successful Insidious was last year and history has shown if it works Murdy tends to bring it back. Since the rest of the properties have never been at the event before people think a Paranormal/ghost house will appear this year. Ouija would be an obvious choice since it's produced by Blumhouse and distributed by Universal but does that mean it is Ouija? No but it wouldn't surprise me either if it came.

As for the Conjuring (other than fitting every single criteria and having Annabelle come out Oct. 3) I can see a bit how Empire would fit in with that. The Conjuring is basically a good old fashion exorcism film at its core. Ed and Lorrain Warren followed the practices of the Ritual Romanum, in which the majority of the film was them determining the nature of the "haunting" and its legitimacy. Later in the film they need permission from the Catholic Church to perform a formal exorcism on The Perron Farmhouse. The Catholic Church and their practices had strong historical ties with Constantine the Great and of course Christianity was the dominant religion in the Roman Empire. The setting is a haunted house which every single horror fan should be accustomed to. Doesn't fit as easily as Dracula Untold but I feel like Dracula would be too obvious even for Murdy. But that's how I see it, probably entirely wrong but eh.
