HHN Hollywood 2014 Speculation

Recommended Posts

There IS a MOVIE property being turned into a maze this year and if it's not Dracula Untold, then we've still yet to figure that ish out.

That actually kinda sounds possible. And would fulfill the supernatural quota.

Yeah and knowing murdy he might have seen this one already bc it's Universal as well.

Can someone connect kt to any of the codename? (Teen spirit maybe)? I would but I'm extremely bad at it . Thanks.

I connected The Conjuring by itself to Teen Spirit but if Teen Spirit is going in HOH that can't be right. Even if it's The Conjuring: Annabelle's Revenge or something like that it wouldn't fit in HOH. I did connect Dracula to Teen Spirit but Murdy seemed to say it was not in the right place so until I find out otherwise, Dracula is back to Empire. I connected AWIL to Teen Spirit but that's Soap Commercial. If they wanted to put Purge in the HOH, I did connect it to Malcolm before it became Empire & lastly I said originally Cabin in the Woods would fit into HOH in April but who knows at this point.

So many questions. I asked him for one more Empire clue & he went all Clue Nazi on me.

About Dracula going in House of Horrors, I looked at the wording of the question.

I said Dracula was in HOH but how does it connect to Teen Spirit is the question.

There's room for carnyism. He forgot to say "Untold". That could easily be interpreted into the original Dracula. He wasn't specific.

I still think HOH would make sense for Dracula Untold. It is a classic horror character with ties already to the venue. While I have always thought the classics deserve their own epic maze outside of HOH, why not put the property where it belongs and allow other mazes to flourish throughout the rest of the park. The clues and music connection has me stumped (but excited for what will be announced). I am pulling a wild card and guessing that Halloween is going into Parisian; it has been quite a few years since Michael Myers last visit!

Murdy never said that HoH was going to be a music maze. That was for the original.

Nevermind. Murdy already clarified the tweet.

Are you going to bring back Monster remix again? I love the music for it.
@richiewalker117 no, we have a new theme this year but it will involve music.

John Murdy could just be playing with words then...No Monsters remix, but new theme involving music. Why reply about something in HOH without mentioning HOH? Because it is not in HOH? I am going batty!

Man Murdy has us stumped with Empire. The only property I could see working in there is the Exorcist. It's obviously related to the Roman Empire in some way, but that's all I've got. I don't see how it would tie in with the Conjuring. What if it was a huge curveball and actually turned out to be AHS? I doubt Murdy would want two mazes with the word "American" being the first word for the maze title. Plus there's the FX hub-bub. I haven't watched the show, but maybe there would be a distant correlation with an empire?

Wait...there's supposedly a maze with a relase this year, no? Maybe it's the Purge? If it was based on the sequel, it technically wouldn't be returning, dodging the "no returning properties" clue. It seems like a whole new movie. It's like Murdy's carnyism from 2010 in a sense. The Purge was used in Communist Russia and China during the Cold War. I'm not sure if that counts as an empire. As for it being appealing, the first movie did well, and there is a lot of anticipation for Anarchy. Also, he has wanted to work with Jason Blum again. He did recently post about how much he loved the new Purge Anarchy haunt.

If it's not ANY of what I mentioned above, then WHAT THE HECK IS IT!?!?! I've got NOTHING! This is all I can come up with.

Legacy said that Dracula Untold was on the confirmed list for a long time.

The first codename announced (only done with confirmed mazes) was Empire. Dr. Jimmy was giving Dracula Untold hints way early in the year.

That would leave room for one last IP in SS747 if Dracula is for sure Empire.

And if that's the case, unless Beauty is something jaw droppingly amazingly that'll make me shit my pants, than the line up sucks pretty bad in my opinion.

TWD - Three-peat, could be good, but been there, done that.

AWIL - Surely will be a visual treat, but not excited for it

Dracula - Um, don't care, at all

FDTD - Oddly enough would be my most anticipated at this point.

Original - Been 50/50 hit or miss with Llorona/Cucuy and Cooper/Sabbath, IMO.

HOH - Who cares, it's the HOH.

TT - As good as the last two made it come back to relevancy, this is a pure cop out.

honestly, I can't see us getting Untold... Orlando has a history of making things with a slight horror element into mazes and such (Jurassic Park, Doomsday, Cirque Du Freak, Sommer's Mummy, Marvel) but so far Murdy kinda laughs at us when we bring something up along those lines. I can see if untold went the lines of the Wolfman remake but this is totally Mummy remake. But then again rules are being broken.

Sooooo, here is an interesting little conversation I caught. The copypasta:

@HorrorNights u said that u didn't do cabin or re last year because u didn't want 2 of the same kind of house

@LocustGear3 will two cabins would've been odd since that was the façade of ED

@HorrorNights so that means there can be 2 vampire houses

@LocustGear3 it means it's a case-by-case basis, there's no hard and fast rule. Only 3 criteria ever for HHN...awareness, environments, etc

@HorrorNights so is there 2 vampire mazes this year

@LocustGear3 I bet you're the kind of kid that opened his presents before Christmas... All will be revealed in time. Enjoy the ride! : )

@HorrorNights you wouldn't be implying that I know this years lineup would u

Huh.

Dracula is coming to Orlando. I make no claims I know what's coming to Hollywood. The fact that y'all are getting FDTD was a surprise to me.

That said, I'll give Murdy credit in that FDTD and Untold are two starkly different properties, visually. One is a Mexican nightclub and Aztec temple. The other is Crusade-era Turkish empire. They'll have wildly different looking facades, and considering Untold has more just vampires, likely different creature design.

CitW and Evil Dead are the same facade and spend the first half their stories with someone similar monsters. That's the whole joke behind Cabin... It's the Evil Dead.

This seems possible. I'm honestly still stuck on Dracula being in HOH. I don't think they've ever announced an overlay this early, and the only real reason that I can think of for doing so is to promote something. Since both Hollywood and Orlando are both announcing something soon, I wouldn't throw it out just yet.

You and your Scream obsession... lol

I do agree with what was said a while ago about the RE house possibilities; I'd prefer that we not have it until someone who really knows about it and cares about it has the reins. Murdy just might not be up to the task and that's perfectly okay. He seems to know that about himself and that's good he'd rather not try and fail miserably to do it justice.

Mainly everybody laughing in the face of the franchise's villain.

From what I know, this did not occur during the Terror Tram.

And from what I know, everybody thought Darth Maul was going to be scolded in Insidious.

Didn't happen either.

I'm sick of this excuse. It's really stupid.

I understand where the concern came from, but oddly, most guests seem to have respect for the suspension of belief aspect of HHN.
