As the full moon rises, you will learn to fear the beast.

Based on the John Landis horror classic, An American Werewolf in London, you’ll come face-to-face with the bloody chaos of werewolf attacks in this horrifying house.

  • 1 month later...

A lot of things were confirmed for the house.

-Slaughtered Lamb will be the facade

-It'll feature Piccadilly Circus, the Porno Theater, the Underground

-The werewolf is a articulated puppet (Understandable considering it's a quadraped werewolf and not a bipedal one like CITW's)

-They went to original audio scource materials for things like the howl. An of course it'll feature Elmer Bernstein's score and songs like Blue Moon and Bad Moon Rising.

Overall, I'm really excited for it since AWIL was my first horror film. An' this is also a big passion project for A&D considering this is the third time they've tried to realize it.

I'm really curious how they will do the theater since...well, this is (For the most part) a PG-13 event. Maybe they'll loop a clip of the guy talking or something.

But I'm going to guess the scares are going to be mostly from the British folks or from the Nazi werewolves.

Thank goodness it's on Netflix right now. Can watch it a few times before I go in almost a month. I remember a few years ago I went to the Spooky Empire thing, and John Landis was there (didn't get to meet him but did go to a Q&A thing he did which was awesome). I also got to watch half of a documentary someone made (that I haven't been able to find since unfortunately). This is also one of my dad's favorite movies, that is now one of mine. So....yeah, definitely excited lol.

Hah sick! Definitely going to go back and rewatch this so I can catch these details in the house. I mainly remember the "In Paris" one. Love that the werewolf is going to be a puppet. Should be some awesome effects in here.

I am very excited for this house as well. I am most curious to see them pull of Piccadilly Circus because it seems like it would have to be done on such a grand scale and so late in the house. My second most anticipated thing is seeing how they work the transformation scene.

The puppetry is cool, I just hope they stay in good condition throughout the whole event as I am going the third week and selfishly want them to be working.

As far as the Nazi wolves go, I have heard rumor that they are reusing the WOTLD costumes done up werewolf style so expect it to look similar.

Looking forward to this house. Just rewatched the movie after many years, and I think it will be a fun one. My husband has a Slaughtered Lamb Pub shirt from the Greenwich Village bar of the same name, so I'm sure he's going to wear that one night. ;)

Everything sounds great and this could be the best house of the year.
My biggest fear would be that the puppets break or something happens.... That would seriously suck... Imagine the Werewolf house with no werewolves lol

I wonder how many times we will see the werewolf, I hope it is more than twice or something like that. The Werewolf doesn't even appear that much in the movie to begin with, So it makes me wonder how much it will show up in the house.

but I am happy for this.

Because I tend to focus on word usage...

Are we sure these puppets are animatronics or are they actual puppets?

Puppets like the ones used in HHNH's La Llorona.

good question, I kind of hope they are just regular puppets so that there is less chance of them breaking midway

The addition of the word articulated is what made me think of nonanimitronic puppets.

It made me think of marionettes.

John Landis said the following "Anyway, in order to replicate Rick Baker's amazing make-up work on 'American Werewolf,' Universal Creative has committed to building these full-sized werewolf puppets that people are then going to manipulate from behind-the-scenes."
